The Uffizi Gallery (Italian: Galleria degli Uffizi) is one of the most famous art museums in the world. The Uffizi Gallery is also the most visited museum in Italy. First of all, the Uffizi Gallery is known for its collection of Renaissance art.
The collection of the Uffizi Gallery consists of works of art from different centuries, but most of them belong to the period from the 12th to the 17th centuries. Here you will find paintings by such great masters of the Renaissance as Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raphael, Caravaggio, Botticelli and many others. This is a great place to study art history and a lot of students visit Florence to study abroad for this reason.
The history of the Uffizi Gallery is inextricably linked with the House of the Medici, who ruled in Florence for a long time. The architect Buontalenti designed the Tribuna degli Uffizi where the main masterpieces were inserted in one room. Finally, the Medici family gave the gallery to the city of Florence, thus turning it into a modern museum accessible to the general public.
In this Uffizi Gallery virtual tour, you will see all the major masterpieces of the museum in high-quality 4K HDR video. This is not an official Uffizi Gallery documentary, but just try to show you Gallery Uffizi highlights in a travel vlog style to help you plan your visit to the museum or just have your own impression of Renaissance art masterpieces. Main Uffizi Gallery highlights you could also find in the official museum brochure - you could pick it up at the Uffizi Gallery ticket office.
If you are looking for things to do in Italy or things to do in Florence during your visit to Tuscany, then we highly recommend that you visit the Uffizi Gallery. The Uffizi Gallery is included in the program of many tours of Florence.
The Uffizi Gallery is located in Piazza della Signoria in the historic center of Florence, the capital of the Tuscany region, Italy. We recommend purchasing tickets to the Uffizi Gallery in advance to skip the line at the entrance of the Uffizi Gallery.

* MASSUCCI (Masucci), Agostino.

Rome, Guido Reni's Vision of St. Andrew Corsini stars in exhibition at Palazzo Corsini

In Rome, Palazzo Corsini hosts from November 16, 2018 to February 17, 2019 the exhibition 'Guido Reni, the Barberini and Corsini. History and fortune of a masterpiece'
From Nov. 16, 2018 to Feb. 17, 2019, Guido Reni ’s (Bologna, 1575 - 1642) Vision of St. Andrew Corsini (Bologna, 1575 - 1642), one of the great masterpieces of the Emilian artist, is the focus of the exhibition Guido Reni, the Barberini and the Corsini. History and Fortune of a Masterpiece, at the Galleria Nazionale d’Arte Antica di Palazzo Corsini in Rome. Curated by Stefano Pierguidi, the exhibition revolves around one of the most emblematic paintings in the history of the National Galleries’ collection: Guido Reni’s Vision of Saint Andrew Corsini, commissioned by the Corsini family for the canonization of the saint who lived in the 14th century, which took place in 1629 during the pontificate of Urban VIII, born Maffeo Barberini.
Reni’s masterpiece, now kept at the Uffizi Gallery, was housed in the rooms of Palazzo Barberini until 1936, when it passed to the Corsini of Florence. In the exhibition it is compared, for the first time, both with the replica executed in 1732 by Agostino Masucci (Rome, c. 1691 - 1758), which remained in Via della Lungara and was made for the mosaic version commissioned by Pope Clement XII, born Lorenzo Corsini, for the altar of the family chapel in San Giovanni in Laterano (1730)
