A stop is usually accomplished through a process known as "pulling over" the suspect's vehicle. Police vehicles (except those used by undercover personnel) traditionally have sirens, loudspeakers, and lightbars that rotate and/or flash. These devices are used by the officer to get the attention of the suspect and to signal that they are expected to move over to the shoulder and stop. Failure to comply could result in citation of failure to yield to an emergency vehicle and possibly raising suspicions from police officers that driver's attempt to flee.
Lovejoy PD sergeant Johnny Baker was recorded by a driver going absolutely nuts during a traffic stop on a pregnant woman who had previously filed a complaint against the officer. Rick Strom breaks it down. Give us your thoughts in the comments below!

Body cam: Traffic stop leads to arrest of man wanted for 1994 Atlanta cold case murder
A man who'd been wanted in Atlanta for murder for nearly 28 years was finally caught this week during a routine traffic stop, according to the FBI.
The agency said in a release that Muhammed Bilal El-Amin was captured by the Oconee County Sheriff's Office, near Athens, in the course of the traffic stop.
It was not clear how deputies tied El-Amin to the 1994 crime during the traffic stop.
He'd had a FBI reward out for his arrest since the early 2000s, after allegedly shooting a man in the face with a handgun at the Oakland City MARTA station in Atlanta in November 1994.

Two police officers stop the head of Internal Affairs
On April 10, 2021, Orlando Police Officers Sebastian Woods Mariano and Alexander Ham conducted a traffic stop of a U-Haul truck after they witnessed the U-Haul run a red light.
The stop was rather uneventful, apart from the reality that the pair had stopped their own agency's manager of Internal Affairs, Dwain Rivers.
Asked is he had any 'drugs, guns, or stolen kids' in his U-Haul truck, Rivers replied "Just furniture."
Which seems to have been satisfactory to Officer Mariano... whose body camera was sideways.
