Roman mythology is the body of traditional stories pertaining to ancient Rome's legendary origins and religious system, as represented in the literature and visual arts of the Romans. "Roman mythology" may also refer to the modern study of these representations, and to the subject matter as represented in the literature and art of other cultures in any period.
The Romans usually treated their traditional narratives as historical, even when these have miraculous or supernatural elements. The stories are often concerned with politics and morality, and how an individual's personal integrity relates to his or her responsibility to the community or Roman state. Heroism is an important theme. When the stories illuminate Roman religious practices, they are more concerned with ritual, augury, and institutions than with theology or cosmogony.
The study of Roman religion and myth is complicated by the early influence of Greek religion on the Italian peninsula during Rome's protohistory, and by the later artistic imitation of Greek literary models by Roman authors. In matters of theology, the Romans were curiously eager to identify their own gods with those of the Greeks (interpretatio graeca), and to reinterpret stories about Greek deities under the names of their Roman counterparts. Rome's early myths and legends also have a dynamic relationship with Etruscan religion, less documented than that of the Greeks.
Romanesque architecture is an architectural style of medieval Europe characterized by semi-circular arches. There is no consensus for the beginning date of the Romanesque style, with proposals ranging from the 6th to the late 10th century, this later date being the most commonly held. It developed in the 12th century into the Gothic style, marked by pointed arches. Examples of Romanesque architecture can be found across the continent, making it the first pan-European architectural style since Imperial Roman Architecture. The Romanesque style in England is traditionally referred to as Norman architecture.
Combining features of ancient Roman and Byzantine buildings and other local traditions, Romanesque architecture is known by its massive quality, thick walls, round arches, sturdy pillars, groin vaults, large towers and decorative arcading. Each building has clearly defined forms, frequently of very regular, symmetrical plan; the overall appearance is one of simplicity when compared with the Gothic buildings that were to follow. The style can be identified right across Europe, despite regional characteristics and different materials.

In exponentiation, the base is the number b in an expression of the form bn.
Related terms
The number n is called the exponent and the expression is known formally as exponentiation of b by n or the exponential of n with base b. It is more commonly expressed as "the nth power of b", "b to the nth power" or "b to the power n". For example, the fourth power of 10 is 10,000 because 104 = 10 x 10 x 10 x 10 = 10,000. The term power strictly refers to the entire expression, but is sometimes used to refer to the exponent.
Roots
When the nth power of b equals a number a, or a=bn, then b is called an "nth root" of a. For example, 10 is a fourth root of 10,000.
OpenOffice.org (OOo), commonly known as OpenOffice, is a discontinued open-sourceoffice suite, while it has descendant projects. It was an open-sourced version of the earlier StarOffice, which Sun Microsystems acquired in 1999, for internal use. Sun open-sourced the software in July 2000 as a competitor to Microsoft Office, releasing version 1.0 on 1 May 2002. In 2011 Oracle Corporation, the then-owner of Sun, announced that it would no longer offer a commercial version of the suite and soon after donated the project to the Apache Foundation. Apache renamed the software Apache OpenOffice. Other active successor projects include LibreOffice (cross-platform including OS X) and NeoOffice (only for OS X).
OpenOffice.org's default file format was the OpenDocument Format (ODF), an ISO/IEC standard, which originated with OpenOffice.org. It could also read a wide variety of other file formats, with particular attention to those from Microsoft Office.

This soft spoken ASMR video tells the story of the Aeneid and explains its historical and political significance. Join me and we will follow Aeneas on his adventures from Troy that he had to live with his son Ascanius and his father Anchises, under the protection of his mother Venus, to the Latium in Italy where a war had to be fought before Rome could be founded. Aeneas benefits from Venus' protection and Jupiter's benevolence, but hostile deities like Juno will do anything to stop him. On the way, we will visit Thrace, Delos, Crete, Epirus, Sicily, Carthage and its queen, Dido, and even the Underworld.

While many of the myths of Roman gods are of Greek origin, the tales surrounding Romulus, Mars and the founding of Rome give us important insights into an original Roman mythology.
- Once when I refer to Varro, I actually meant Livy. Livy's History confirms the apotheosis of Romulus, and even his appearance to Iulius Proculus, but does not refer to him as Quirinus. Varro also does not call Romulus Quirinus, but his complete history does not survive intact.
