Deadline is a fictional villain in the DC Comics universe. He first appears in the story "Deadline Doom!" in Starman #15 (October 1989).
Fictional character biography
Deadline first appears as a mercenary with a contract on Starman Will Payton. He is mentioned to be one of the best and highest paid super-mercenaries, along with Bolt. Other stories suggest that while Deadline is a master of what he does, he is not as highly regarded as, for example, Deathstroke or Deadshot.
Deadline appears as a vacationer in Bialya after it is opened up to supervillains. When the country is assisted by the Justice League, Deadline is captured by Guy Gardner.
Deadline later becomes part of a more villainous version of the Suicide Squad propping up the dictatorship in the Bermuda Triangle island of Diabloverde. His team is shown terrorizing civilians for fun. Amanda Waller and her Squad take him out along with his colleagues while attempting to remove the dictator.
During the "Underworld Unleashed" event, Deadline meets fellow mercenaries Deadshot, Merlyn the Archer, Bolt, and Chiller, and bands together with them as the Killer Elite. While operating within this group, they confront the mercenaries called 'The Body Doubles'. The entire 'Elite' suffers multiple humiliating defeats.
The following is an episode list for the television seriesFreddy's Nightmares, a spin-off of the successful movie series A Nightmare on Elm Street. In the United States, the first episode of the series originally aired on October 8, 1988. The series ran for two seasons, ending on March 12, 1990, after 44 episodes.
The series has had a limited release on VHS in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Brazil, Italy, and the Netherlands. In the United States, the series was released on September 11, 1991, in five volumes, with one episode per volume. The UK released eight volumes, with two episodes per volume. The other countries released the same episodes as that of the UK release. The UK released a two volume DVD set on June 9, 2003.
Seasons
With the exception of the pilot, all of the episodes carried two separate storylines. The first half hour would be devoted to one story, while the last half hour would be devoted to a second storyline.
Deadline is a 1959–61 American television drama series that re-enacted famous newspaper stories from the past. Hosted and narrated by Paul Stewart, the syndicated series was produced by Arnold Perl. Guest stars included Peter Falk, Diane Ladd, Robert Lansing, and George Maharis. Thirty-nine 30-minute episodes were produced.

DC Comics is trending in the wrong direction. These titles would have made up the bulk of DC Comics Top 5. DC Comics is struggling to replace them with new quality series.
Let’s get into the good stuff starting with number five. One of DC Comics newest heroes, The Silencer. It’s suffered from uneven visuals throughout, it burned through three artist in only 17 issues. Dan Abnett is one of the most underrated writers in all of comics. Silencer is a bad ass hero who’s also a loving wife and mother. The series finishes its run at issue 18.
Robert Venditti is my personal favorite writer in all of comics. He leads my number four DC Comic Series, Freedom Fighters. A series featuring Nazi’s ruling America on Earth-X is not something I read in today’s heated political climate. Venditti is the only reason I looked at a single page, and I’m glad I did. Veteran Superman artist Eddy Barrows leads the art team and is fantastic. The series features some of the boldest visuals of pro-American values in comics today.
Brian Edward Hill leads the newest series featuring the Dark Knight, Batman and the Outsiders. DC Comics pairs him with Dexter Soy on Batman and the Outsiders. Soy is the most underrated artist in all of comics in my opinion. He’s a fantastic visual storyteller. His action is very impactful and easy to follow. Batman and the Outsiders only released one issue but it’s a continuation of Bryan Hills fantastic story arc in Detective Comics. Hill is fantastic writing street-level characters and you can tell he has a true love for Batman.
Doomsday Clock has been plagued by delays for almost a year now. When issues of Doomsday Clock release they are among the best in the industry. Artist Gary Frank is one of the brightest talents in the comic biz. His work on Doomsday Clock is nothing short of extraordinary. Geoff Johns is writing at peak ability on Doomsday Clock. Writing the sequel to what many believe is the greats comic series of all-times is no small task. It’s a shame Geoff Johns is no longer the central creative voice at DC Comics.
Robert Venditti and Bryan Hitch team to create DC Comics best series, Hawkman. Venditti and Hitch are elevating Carter Hall from C-list character to one of the richest in all the DC Universe. Bryan Hitch might not be the biggest name in the industry but he was made to draw Hawkman. Venditti set out to take the Hawkman mythos created over the years and meld them into one coherent narrative. He succeeded beyond anyone’s expectations. Readers now understand Carters Hall reincarnates across space and time. Atoning for his sins as the General of the Deathbringer armies.

About:
The planet Krypton is destabilized from the mining of the planetary core. Just before the planet explodes, Krypton's supreme council chief advisor Jor-El infuses the genetics codex into his infant son, Kal-El, the first naturally born Kryptonian child in centuries. Jor-El manages to send Kal-El in a spacecraft toward Earth before being killed by General Zod during an uprising. Kal-El lands in Kansas, where he is adopted by Jonathan and Martha Kent and named Clark. As he grows older, he develops superhuman powers that Jonathan urges to keep hidden, even refusing Clark's help years later during a tornado incident where he loses his life. Burdened with guilt over Jonathan's death, Clark travels the globe hiding under various aliases seeking a purpose in life.
Daily Planet reporter Lois Lane receives an assignment to investigate the discovery of a Kryptonian scout ship in the Canadian Arctic. Clark enters the ship disguised as a worker and learns from its artificial intelligence (AI), modeled after his father Jor-El, that Clark was sent to Earth to guide its people. While following Clark, Lois inadvertently triggers the ship's security system, and he uses his powers to rescue Lois from its defenses. He wears a uniform provided by the ship's AI and begins testing his flying abilities. Unable to convince supervisor Perry White to publish an article on the incident, Lois tracks down Clark in Smallville, with the intent of exposing him. However, Lois drops the story upon hearing of Jonathan Kent's sacrifice, keeping Clark's identity safe but fueling Perry's suspicions.
Zod and his crew escape the Phantom Zone, where they were imprisoned for treason for their actions against Krypton. They travel to Earth to turn it into a new Krypton, possessing several terraforming devices salvaged from Kryptonian outposts. Following Clark and Lois' capture, Zod's science officer, Jax-Ur, extracts Clark's genes to create Kryptonian colonists who will build a society based on Zod's ideals of genetic purity. Using the Jor-El AI to take over the ship, Clark and Lois flee and warn the U.S. military of Zod's plan, resulting in an explosive confrontation between Clark and Zod's troops.
Zod deploys his most powerful terraforming device, the World Engine, which severely damages Metropolis and puts humanity's existence at risk. Given the codename "Superman", Clark destroys the terraforming platform while the military launches a suicide attack, sending Zod's troops back to the Phantom Zone. With the ship destroyed and Krypton's only hope of revival gone, Zod vows to destroy Earth and its inhabitants out of revenge. The two Kryptonians engage in a lengthy battle across Metropolis, which concludes when Clark is forced to kill Zod as he attacks a family in a train station. Clark adopts the moniker "Superman" and persuades the government to let him act independently, under the condition he does not turn against humanity. To gain covert access to dangerous situations, he takes a job under his civilian identity, Clark, as a freelance reporter for the Daily Planet.
