Dubai Marina Waterfront | Dubai Marina Yacht | Dubai 4k | Dubai City - UAE
Dubai Marina Waterfront is an artificial canal city, built along a 3-kilometer stretch of Persian Gulf shoreline. It was inspired by the Concord Pacific Place development along False Creek in Vancouver, BC, Canada. In order to create the man-made marina, the developers brought the waters of the Persian Gulf into the site of the Dubai marina, creating a new waterfront. There is a large central waterway, excavated from the desert and running the length of the 3 km site. More than 12% of the total land area on the site has been given over to this central public space. Although much of this area is occupied by the marina water surface, it also includes almost 8 km of landscaped public walkways. The marina is entirely man-made and has been developed by the real estate development firm Emaar Pro...

There is a publicly accessible foreshore way around the marina and some sections of the public ocean way along the beach with views to Palm Jumeriah. The a publicly accessible foreshoreway around the marina and some sections of public oceanway along the beach with views to Palm Jumeriah. Its largest development is the Jumeirah Beach Residence. Dubai Marina opened doors to its only mosque Masjid Al Rahim in October 2013, which is situated in the southern end of the Marina.[6]
Phase I Edit
The first phase of Dubai Marina covers 25 acres (100,000 m2), which includes six freehold apartment buildings, the Dubai Marina Towers. The phase I of Dubai Marina cost more than AED 1.2 billion.[1] Three of the towers are named after precious stones, Al Mass, Fairooz, and Murjan, and the other three are named after Arabic scents, Mesk, Anbar, and Al Yass. The scheme was designed by HOK and the contractors were Al-Futtaim Carillion and Nasah Multiplex.[1]
Phase II Edit
The Phase II of Dubai Marina will consist of high rise buildings, which are mainly clustered into a block, known as "Tallest Block in the world" with the majority of the skyscrapers ranges between 250 metres (820 ft) to 300 metres (984 ft), which includes Cayan Tower,[7] Ocean Heights,[8] Marina Pinnacle,[9] Sulafa Tower[10] and few are taller than 350 metres (1,148 ft) meters and 400 metres (1,312 ft), which includes Elite Residence,[11] 23 Marina,[12] Princess Tower,[13] Marina 101,[14] DAMAC Residenze,[15] and the supertall Pentominium, which rises to 516 metres (1,693 ft) meters.[16]
Jumeirah Beach Residence Edit
Jumeirah Beach Residence is a 1.7 kilometres (1.1 mi) long, 2 square kilometres (0.77 sq mi) gross floor area waterfront community located against the Persian Gulf in Dubai Marina. It is the largest single phase residential development in the world and contains 40 towers (35 are residential and 5 are hotels). JBR can accommodate about 15,000 people, living in its apartments and hotel rooms. The Project has 6,917 apartments, from 900 sq ft (84 m2) studios to 5,500 sq ft (510 m2) penthouses. Jumeirah Beach Residence was launched in August 2002 from the developer, Dubai Properties (a subsidiary of Dubai Holding) with the cost of 6 billion dirham and was completed in 2007. The Walk at JBR restaurant and shopping strip, which is adjacent to the beach behind JBR, is a very popular location for Al Fresco dining. There are five hotels, rated as 5 star or 4 star, three of which are purpose-built hotels, while the other two are converted residential towers.[ Dubai Marina, açık hava restoranları ve keyifli kumlu sahilleriyle bir tatil kompleksi olan The Beach at JBR ile ünlü, refah düzeyi yüksek yerleşim bölgesidir. Weapon of choice against the Zombie Apocalypse is a 2009 FUJI Newest 1.0.
Shot on location in New York City. Starting at around 181st st. in Manhattan, jumping on the Hudson bike path with the vid ending at around the 140's.
Filmed yesterday, Thursday. Once in a while you can see me checking my watch. It's a Garmin Forerunner 410 unit. It shows me GPS based time and speed. It also saves other values extracted from the GPS recording. Elevation, total mileage, etc.
The Manhattan Waterfront Greenway is a foreshoreway for walking or cycling, 32 miles (51 km) long, around the island of Manhattan. The largest portions are operated by the New York City Department of Parks. It is separated from motor traffic, and many sections also separate pedestrians from cyclists.
Hudson River Greenway
HRGW is the longest, running along the West Side, from Dyckman Street in the north to Battery Park in the south, mostly through Riverside Park and Hudson River Park. A gap in West Harlem was filled in early October 2008 with the opening of the Harlem Piers bike lane. A roughly 10-block detour in the west 80s, where a walkway had crumbled into the river in the late 20th century,[1] was eliminated on May 20, 2010, when the rebuilt section of greenway was opened.[2]
The Hudson River Greenway is the most heavily used bikeway in the United States.[3] Most is near Hudson River water level, except the portion north of George Washington Bridge where it climbs steeply, to approximately 160 feet (50 m) and includes Inspiration Point.
Near the downtown end, ongoing renovation work on the South Ferry subway station is to result in a connection through Battery Park to the East River Greenway. Travelers to Brooklyn use a bike lane in Warren Street and a one-way bike path (opened in September 2008) through the north end of City Hall Park to connect to the Brooklyn Bridge. Those arriving from Brooklyn use lanes in Park Row and Murray Street to reach the Greenway.
Footpaths continue a mile north from Dyckman Street into Inwood Hill Park alongside the western ball fields, at which point the path crosses the Amtrak rail tracks using a bridge with steps. This continues northeast into the park as part of the park trail system and connects north to bikeways in Spuyten Duyvil in the Bronx via the Henry Hudson Bridge, and east to the bike lane on 218th St leading to the Broadway Bridge. However, Inwood Hill Park currently bans bicycles on all paths so the connections are not technically recognized nor officially encouraged at this time.

Dubai Marina:
Is a district in Dubai, United Arab Emirates & an artificial canal city, built along a 3-kilometre (2 mi) stretch of Persian Gulf shoreline. As of 2016, it has a population of 45,395. When the entire development is complete, it will accommodate more than 120,000 people in residential towers and villas. It is located on Interchange 5 between Jebel Ali Port and the area which hosts Dubai Internet City, Dubai Media City, and the American University in Dubai. The first phase of this project has been completed. Dubai Marina was inspired by the Concord Pacific Place development along False Creek in Vancouver, BC, Canada.
There have been many instances of marine wildlife (especially whales and sharks) entering the marina, because of its proximity to the open sea.
Attractions:
A zipline advertised as the "longest urban zipline" was installed here, which links Dubai Marina with the Dubai Marina Mall
Development:
In order to create the man-made marina, the developers brought the waters of the Persian Gulf into the site of Dubai marina, creating a new waterfront. There is a large central waterway, excavated from the desert and running the length of the 3 km site. More than 12% of the total land area on the site has been given over to this central public space. Although much of this area is occupied by the marina water surface, it also includes almost 8 km of landscaped public walkways.
The marina is entirely man-made and has been developed by the real estate development firm Emaar Properties of the United Arab Emirates and designed by HOK Canada.[1] Upon completion, it is claimed to be the world's largest man-made marina. The current largest man-made marina in the world is Marina del Rey in California, United States.[4][5] There is a publicly accessible foreshoreway around the marina and some sections of public oceanway along the beach with views to Palm Jumeriah. Its largest development is the Jumeirah Beach Residence. Dubai Marina opened doors to its only mosque Masjid Al Rahim in October 2013, which is situated in the southern end of the Marina.
