Price was born in Beaudesert, a small country town near Brisbane, Queensland. He began playing music at the age of nine appearing with his family band Union Beau, performing at local bushdances. Citing such artists as diverse as Stevie Wonder, James Taylor and Carole King as inspiration
At age 18, Price escaped to Sydney and continued working as a musician, playing bass with various inner city outfits and landing the occasional studio and touring work. During the mid-80s Rick turned his focus more towards his singing. His distinctive vocals were soon in demand and in 1988 he was invited to sing "Celebration of a Nation", with Keren Minshull, the theme song for Australia's Bicentennial. This opportunity helped lay the foundations for his solo career.
Price began writing his own material in the late 80s, and released his debut single "Not a Day Goes By" in February 1992. The song received saturation radio and video play, climbing to number 5 on the national charts where it spent 20 weeks in the Australian Top 40. It was the beginning of a lifelong ambition for Price, and in the space of less than 12 months, he went from relative obscurity to become one of the biggest names in Australian music.

Price's first band was the Shadows inspired Cimarrons. He then moved on to the Sombreros who later changed their name to Sight & Sound and moved in a more psychedelic direction. He began collaborating with Mike Sheridan as a songwriting partnership. In 1969 he joined The Move, staying with the group for two years including an unsuccessful tour of the United States. Price also contributed bass tracks to the early sessions for the debut album of ELO, but for reasons unclear, none of his bass parts ended up used in the final mix to the album when it was released in 1971.
Price joined the Nationwide Tour in 1999 where he played until 2001, took a hiatus in 2002 and rejoined in 2003. He won his first event on Tour at the Xerox Classic in 2005 but his breakout year on Tour came in 2008 when he won the Nationwide Tour Players Cup en route to a 12th place finish on the money list, earning him his PGA Tour card for 2009. He didn't have much success on the PGA Tour and returned to the Nationwide Tour the following year. He has won 20 events on mini tours and he has also played on the Canadian Tour
For the First Time is the second album by Stephanie Mills. Released in 1975 on the Motown label. Produced by Burt Bacharach and Hal David. The arrangements were by Burt Bacharach, Bill Eaton, Dave Matthews and Kenny Asher. After a fallout during the recording of the soundtrack to the remake of Lost Horizon, Bacharach and David split before briefly reuniting for this album. After this album project that featured 8 new songs plus 2 covers of songs that Dionne Warwick had previously recorded, the famous songwriting duo would not work together until they wrote 3 unrecorded songs in 1978. They then did not write together again until a reunion in 1989, when they wrote 2 songs - "How Can I Love You" which remains unrecorded, and "Sunny Weather Lover" which was eventually recorded by Dionne Warwick for her 1993 album "Friends Can Be Lovers".
For the First Time (Spanish:Por Primera Vez) is a 1967 Cubandocumentaryshort film. It chronicles the events of April 12, 1967 in the village of Los Munos, in the Baracoa municipality of Cuba, where a mobile cinema truck shows the villagers moving pictures for the first time.
The entire film was shot on April 12, 1967 in the village itself, and shows the cinema truck traveling to the village, as well as interviews with both the projectionists and several villagers. The film shown was the Chaplin feature, Modern Times, on a portable 16 mm projector in the back of the truck. As it happens, the film screening is well received.
The film was made available in recent years for an international audience with it being included as a special feature in a MK2 DVD release of Modern Times, distributed by Warner Brothers.

William Thomas "Tommy" EmmanuelAM (born 31 May 1955) is an Australian guitarist, songwriter and occasional singer, best known for his complex fingerstyle technique, energetic performances and the use of percussive effects on the guitar. Although originally a session player in many bands, Emmanuel has carved out his own style as a solo artist in recent years, releasing award winning albums and singles. In the May 2008 and 2010 issues of Guitar Player Magazine, he was named "Best Acoustic Guitarist" in their readers' poll. In June 2010 Emmanuel was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia (AM).
Biography
Emmanuel was born in Australia in 1955. He received his first guitar in 1959 at age four and was taught by his mother to accompany her playing lap steel guitar. At the age of seven in 1961 he heard a young Chet Atkins playing on the radio. He vividly remembers this moment and says it greatly inspired him.
By the age of six, in 1961, he was a working professional musician. Recognizing the musical talents of Tommy and his older brother Phil Emmanuel, their father created a family band, sold the family home and took his family on the road. With the family living in two station wagons, much of Emmanuel's childhood was spent touring Australia with them, playing rhythm guitar, and rarely going to school. The family found it difficult living on the road; they were poor but never hungry, never settling in one place. His father would often drive ahead, organize interviews, advertising and finding the local music shop where they would have an impromptu concert the next day. Eventually the New South Wales Department of Education insisted that the Emmanuel children needed to go to school regularly.
