Stop the World is the eighth studio album by British pop duo Right Said Fred. It was released in 2011, and was followed by the Night of the Living Fred tour. The album has received widespread negative reviews.
It was the first power ballad released from the album. Although it tried to match the success of the band's previous successful ballads "More Than Words" and "Hole Hearted", it proved to be a commercial failure in the US. However, it did chart in the UK at #22.
Stop the World is the second album from the Austin, Texas-based punk rock band Riddlin' Kids. It was released on October 19, 2004 under the Sonylabel. The release of this album was the last output from the Riddlin' Kids. The band stopped touring less than a year after the album's release. The song Stop The World was used in the video game MX vs. ATV Unleashed.
Construction of the 300 islands began in 2003, only to halt due to the 2008 financial crisis. Though 60 percent of the islands had been sold off to private contractors back in 2008, development on most of these islands has failed to initiate. As of late 2013, only two of the islands had been developed. In January, 2014, Kleindienst Group announced the launch of "The Heart of Europe" project; by February, 2014, one of Kleindienst Group's brands - JK Properties' announced in their monthly newsletter that the project was "well underway". The first of these series of islands will be Europe, Sweden and Germany with development led by Kleindienst Group, the Developer for The Heart of Europe project.
The World (Chinese:世界; pinyin:Shìjiè) is a 2004Chinesefilm written and directed by Jia Zhangke. Starring Jia's muse, Zhao Tao, as well as Chen Taisheng, The World was filmed on and around an actual theme park located in Beijing, Beijing World Park, which recreates world landmarks at reduced scales for Chinese tourists. The World was Jia's first to gain official approval from the Chinese government. Additionally, it was the first of his films to take place outside of his home province of Shanxi.
The film premiered in competition at the 2004 Venice Film Festival on September 4, 2004, but failed to win the coveted Golden Lion, the festival's top award, which ultimately went to Mike Leigh's drama Vera Drake, but which Jia would win two years later with Still Life. The World also premiered in 2004 at the New York Film Festival and would go on to receive a limited release in New York City the following year on July 1, 2005.
PRI's The World is a global news radio, audio and multi-platform program created by Public Radio International based on the program's congruence with PRI's mission, and in order to fulfill the critical need for more original global news created for and provided to Americans. This was partly a response to declining investments by commercial media in international news. The program is co-produced by the BBC World Service of the United Kingdom, and Public Radio International and WGBH of the United States. The program's goal is to bring international journalism/news that illuminates the world specifically for US listeners.
The World was PRI's first co-production—the company now has a number of productions. It was also the first news co-production of the BBC World Service. For the BBC, The World was conceived as stand-alone program and also as a template for future co-productions which might serve to expand the reach of BBC World Service resources. At its launch, it was the first program dedicated to focusing on providing global news and making the global-local connection for Americans on a daily basis.

In 1987, Fred appeared as a guitarist in the Bob Dylan vehicle Hearts of Fire.
The group was named after the novelty song "Right Said Fred", which was a hit single for singer and actor Bernard Cribbins in 1962.
The Fairbrass brothers were originally accompanied by drummer Ray Weston and guitarist Dan Kruse. Weston left in 1990 to join the progressive rock group Wishbone Ash and Kruse left the next year. Guitarist Rob Manzoli joined in 1990 and remained with the group until 1997.
1991–1992: I’m Too Sexy
In July 1991, the group released its debut single and best-known song, "I'm Too Sexy", on the independent London-based record label Tug Records. The Fairbrass brothers have stated that the song's lyrics are centred on certain users of the gym they owned in London, who they claimed had no shame.
"A lot of models used our gym, so we thought it was time to start poking fun at them," Fred stated.

All the world's a masquerade made up of fools and philosophers Were it to rain on our charade, all washes away, except for our true colors If any people bothered looking for truth, please, STOP THE WORLD from spinning 'round instead we choose to follow footsteps of fools, please STOP THE WORLD from spinning 'round If nothing's new under the sun for me and you Won't somebody please... STOP THE WORLD STOP THE WORLD I WANNA GET OFF STOP THE WORLD STOP THE WORLD WHERE THERE IS LOVE If we forget yesterday, We're bound to repeat it tomorrow It's not too late to start today, Better off safe, than sorry Do unto those as you would do to yourselves, please, STOP THE WORLD from spinning 'round We need more feet to walk in one another's shoes, please STOP THE WORLD from spinning 'round There's nothing new under the sun for me and you,
