An electoral district in Canada, also known as a "constituency" or a "riding", is a geographical constituency upon which Canada's representative democracy is based. It is officially known in Canadian French as a circonscription, but frequently called a comté (county).
While electoral districts in Canada are now exclusively single-member districts, multiple-member districts have been used at the federal and provincial levels. Alberta has had a few districts that returned from two to seven members: see Calgary, Edmonton and Medicine Hat. British Columbia had a mix of multiple-member districts in Vancouver and single-member districts elsewhere until the 1991 election, and Prince Edward Island had dual-member districts until the 1996 election.
The Sydney area has been inhabited by indigenous Australians since the Upper Paleolithic period. The first British settlers arrived in 1788 to found Sydney as a penal colony, the first European settlement in Australia. Since convict transportation ended in the mid-19th century, the city has transformed from a colonial outpost into a major global cultural and economic centre.
The population of Sydney at the time of the 2011 census was 4.39 million, 1.5 million of which were born overseas, representing many different nationalities and making Sydney one of the most multicultural cities in the world. There are more than 250 different languages spoken in Sydney and about one-third of residents speak a language other than English at home.
Sydney Kells (Valerie Bertinelli), the daughter of a now-deceased policeman, brings her New York City detective agency (in which she is the only investigator) back to her hometown and her family, including her over-protective brother Billy (Matthew Perry), himself a rookie cop. As she struggles to balance her personal and professional life, the main source of her work comes from an uptight lawyer (Craig Bierko), with whom she shares sexual chemistry. She and her best friend Jill (Rebeccah Bush) frequent a neighborhood bar run by Ray (Barney Martin), her father's old police partner.
Sydney, a gambler in his 60s, finds a young man, John, sitting forlornly outside a diner and offers to give him a cigarette and buy him a cup of coffee. Sydney learns that John is trying to raise enough money for his mother's burial. He offers to drive John to Las Vegas and teach him how to make some money and survive. Although he is skeptical at first, John agrees to Sydney's proposal.

For Labor to return to government in New South Wales after more than a decade in opposition, it needs to flip the most marginal Liberal seat in the state, the Sydney electorate of East Hills. The two candidates vying for the seat are appealing to voters who've done it particularly tough, from COVID lockdowns to rising interest rates and a soaring cost of living. Adam Harvey reports.

With the state election on this weekend, I think it's important to remind ourselves that the people we elect establish the culture of our state and society, like all like all elections, this one is very important and so is your vote. A couple of things to consider is a vote for an independent injects a little bit more humanity into Politics rather than corporate influence so consider that with your first vote on your preferences. And make sure you number every box to make you vote powerful.
Also remember that the current government is wiping out forest and bushland equaling a Sydney CBD area every 2 days that's not only a lot of homeless people in Australia. That's a lot of homeless koalas.
This is an election where the little people can make a big difference not just for now but for our children's future.
Where independents will add a voice for the people not corporate profits. Baz has many friends and family living in Wollondilly and the Southern Highlands. He share with you why he feels is is so important to Vote for a Voice for the Community, a vote for an Independent Candidate.
