In user interface design, a mode is a distinct setting within a computer program or any physical machine interface, in which the same user input will produce perceived different results than it would in other settings.
The best-known modal interface components are probably the Caps lock and Insert keys on the standard computer keyboard, both of which put the user's typing into a different mode after being pressed, then return it to the regular mode after being re-pressed.
An interface that uses no modes is known as a modeless interface. Modeless interfaces intend to avoid mode errors by making it impossible for the user to commit them.
"An human-machine interface is modal with respect to a given gesture
when (1) the current state of the interface is not the user's locus of
attention and (2) the interface will execute one among several
different responses to the gesture, depending on the system's current
state." (Page 42).
In DOS, many standard system commands were provided for common tasks such as listing files on a disk or moving files. Some commands were built into the command interpreter, others existed as external commands on disk. Over the several generations of DOS, commands were added for the additional functions of the operating system. In the current Microsoft Windows operating system, a text-mode command prompt window, cmd.exe, can still be used.
Command processing
The command interpreter for DOS runs when no application programs are running. When an application exits, if the transient portion of the command interpreter in memory was overwritten, DOS will reload it from disk. Some commands are internal — built into COMMAND.COM; others are external commands stored on disk. When the user types a line of text at the operating system command prompt, COMMAND.COM will parse the line and attempt to match a command name to a built-in command or to the name of an executable program file or batch file on disk. If no match is found, an error message is printed, and the command prompt is refreshed.
MODE32 is a software product originally developed by Connectix for certain models of the Apple Macintosh. It was published in 1991 and originally cost $169, however on September 5, 1991, the software was made available free to customers under licensing terms with Apple Computer.
Overview
MODE32 effectively removes a ROM flaw in certain models of early 68020 and 68030Apple Macintosh computers (see below), which were advertised by Apple to be 32-bit. Despite the machines' hardware being designed to accommodate for this, the lack of a 32-bit Memory Manager in ROM forced these machines to run in 24-bit mode, which crippled these otherwise high-end machines to support only 8 MB of RAM. Customer dissatisfaction likely prompted the licensing agreement with Connectix.
The software runs as a control panel in Macintosh System 7, enabling the 32-bit addressing option of the operating system. The option can be found in the memory control panel when MODE32 is enabled. Otherwise the option is not displayed.
Tough is a studio recording by John Mayall.
Released September 15, 2009 CD and mp3. Band Members: The album featured Jay Davenport on drums, Greg Rzab on bass, Tom Canning on keyboards, and Rocky Athas on lead guitar. Mayall sings and plays harmonica, organ and guitar.
"Tough" is a song written by Joe Leathers and Monty Criswell, and recorded by American country singer Craig Morgan. It was released in March 2007 as the second single from his album Little Bit of Life.
Content
The song is about a hardworking wife and mother who survives breast cancer, serving as an inspiration to her husband, who sings, "There was a time / Back before she was mine / When I thought I was tough."
Music video
The video for "Tough" premiered on June 4, 2007. It features Morgan singing the song alongside film clips of a woman depicting the events in the song.
Tough is a compilation album by British rock artists Wishbone Ash, released in May 2008 by the Talking Elephant label. It features rock numbers by the band and complements the album Tender, featuring a compilation of mellow tunes, that was released at the same time.

Simple Computer to Radio Interface for Digital Modes
Short video looking at one way to interface a computer with a SSB radio to support digital modes (WSJT-X, JS8 etc). Please note that I have not included a DC blocking capacitor in the computer mic jack as my sound card has a resistor on bias line.

First Test of Isolated Digital Mode Radio to Computer Interface
This is my video of my first test... and to save you the suspense it was successful. HOORAY right? Sorry about the quality, it is the first video and I wanted to upload it fast and it appears that the quality suffers from the compact size of the upload file. This my first step towards getting a completely DC operated mobile digital mode setup, right now I am just getting the interfaces to work, then I will plan out what radios I have will do what. This test was done using my own interface (not the design although I started substituting some components after frying their predecessors) a DC powered desktop, a cheap USB to serial adapter, a cheap USB sound card, a FT-2500M 2 meter radio, and a HT for listening in. The software used was AGW packet engine, and WinPack.

GUI | what is GUI | Graphical User Interface. #gui
A GUI or graphical user interface is a system of interactive visual components for computer software. A GUI displays objects that convey information, and represent actions that can be taken by the user. The objects change colour, size, or visibility when the user interacts with them.
In this video, we will talk about it. Hope you enjoy this video :)

I've Seen you hanging from blistering skies Holding yourself with a grace that defies Law after Law as well spit in the eye Fall on me when you come down You've seen me panic Kick without sight Of any danger except what I might Know of myself and See in you Tonight Fall on me when you come down The air is thin and hard to breath, With Sweetness that you lost to me Despite this noose around our kiss, I try to tell myself This is No ending Seeing you buzzing from flickering signs Bringing on warnings of Incoming fire Blood on your hands From the tongue of a liar Fall on me when you come Down The air is thin and hard to breath, With sweetness that you lost to me Despite This noose around our kiss, I try to tell myself this is No ending No ending Leaving Alone and I see you're still breathing Head out of sight But the neon's Deceiving, There is no danger of you Getting anywhere here I know I'm prone to rushing In with No pretence of listening Despite this noose around our kiss, I try to tell myself This is No ending. No ending
