Thanks to her track record, her re-election by an absolute majority (50% of MEPs plus one) is a foregone conclusion.
The Left is reportedly interested in filing an alternative candidate, as they did last time in 2022. However, the alternative bid will be entirely symbolic.

Miroslav Radačovský, an MEP from the Slovak Patriot party, made a short speech in what he said was his 'last intervention' in parliament. A French Green MEP said the gesture was a violation of parliamentary rules. 'What are you going to do now to get this animal back?' asked Caroline Roose. 'Where is animal welfare in this speaker's gesture? I find this absolutely unacceptable.'

Hereford - a brief visit
In this brief visit to the city of Hereford, England, we use the Arthur Mee guide, written over 70 years ago in 1950. After coffee at All Saints' Church, we stroll along Hereford's streets before visiting the site of the castle and Hereford Cathedral.
The music is by Sir Edward Elgar, who lived in Hereford from 1904-1911.

A DAY EXPLORING THE HEREFORDSHIRE/WORCESTERSHIRE BORDER - Manors, Gardens and Charming Villages
This week I'm taking you back in time to the end of April when I spent a week in a dreamy cottage in the Worcestershire countryside. Whilst I was there I didn't waste a second, exploring as much of the area as possible and I've still got so much to share! This episode takes you around more of the incredible places I stumbled upon during my time there. First we take a visit to Hellens Manor, a phenomenal survival from days past. It dates to 1058 although most of what we see today dates to the 15th and 16th centuries. Then I head to Little Malvern Court to explore the gardens and from there I spend the early evening visiting some of the charming villages on the Black and White trail, stopping by Weobley, Pembridge and Eardisland.

The City On The Wye - Hereford (1935)
Titles read: 'The City on the Wye - HEREFORD'.
Various shots of the city of Hereford showing the Cathedral and historical architecture near by. We see the 'Old House' - a timbered building from Elizabethan times. In Widemarsh Street there is the house where the famous actor David Garrick was born. Shots of Coningsby Hall, founded in 1614 for old-age pensioners inspired Hereford citizen Nell Gwyn to ask King Charles to build the Chelsea Hospital.
Several scenic shots of the River Wye and Kilpeck Church, built soon after the Norman Conquest. In Holmer we see an unusual church with a black and white timbered tower. Several shots of thatched cottages in surrounding villages and hamlets.
Note: this story slips out of rack in numerous places. If item is required you would probably...

A Close-Up Look at the amazing HEREFORD, UK
The cathedral city of Hereford sits on the banks of the River Wye. Hereford is situated in the West Midlands region of England. The city has good train links with Wales, Midlands and the North West and the occasional train to London.

There is plenty to see and do in Hereford. Visit the cathedral and see the Mappa Mundi. Clergymen drew the map of the world in 1290. If you like museums then head to the Black and White house museum with its local history or maybe try the Hereford museum and art gallery. For open spaces head to College Green for views of the River Wye. Shoppers won't be disappointed as Hereford has an indoor and outdoor market. There are plenty of independent shops and your usual big brand shops.

If item is required you would probably have to go back to original film.

A Herefordshire potato, beef and cereal farmer has been jailed for 12 months for badly damaging a protected stretch of the River Lugg.
John Price, 68, has also been disqualified from acting as a company director for three years.

The cathedral city of Hereford sits on the banks of the River Wye. Hereford is situated in the West Midlands region of England. The city has good train links with Wales, Midlands and the North West and the occasional train to London.
Link to map of the walk
https://goo.gl/maps/sCgpR1paPGhr685w7
There is plenty to see and do in Hereford. Visit the cathedral and see the Mappa Mundi. Clergymen drew the map of the world in 1290. If you like museums then head to the Black and White house museum with its local history or maybe try the Hereford museum and art gallery. For open spaces head to College Green for views of the River Wye. Shoppers won't be disappointed as Hereford has an indoor and outdoor market. There are plenty of independent shops and your usual big brand shops.
I traveled by train from Oxford to Hereford with Great Western Railways using a split save ticket.

I traveled by train from Oxford to Hereford with Great Western Railways using a split save ticket.
