Star Fox 64 - Complete 100% Walkthrough - All Routes, All Medals (Longplay)
This is a complete 100% walkthrough (longplay) of Star Fox 64 for the Nintendo 64 in full 1080p HD. The entire game is shown in this one single video. I play through the game three times and go through all three routes, all fifteen levels, and obtain every single medal in the game. The three routes include the Easy Route (Blue Route), the Medium Route (Yellow Route), and the Hard Route (Red Route).
To get all the medals, you must shoot down the required amount of enemies that the level you are playing demands and all of your teammates must survive. If just one teammate goes down, you lose the medal for the level you are currently playing and for the next level as well. Obtaining all the medals will unlock the expert mode for the game.

Star Fox (SNES) Playthrough - NintendoComplete
A playthrough of Nintendo's 1993 3D space shooter for the Super Nintendo, Star Fox, also known as Star Wing in Europe.
I play through all of the main routes in this video:

Star Fox 64 - Hard Path - Full Playthrough
Here is a full playthrough on the hardest difficulty of the classic: Star Fox 64!
I thought the game aged well, but it's by no means perfect. Aiming your shots seemed very difficult, making the homing charge shot basically essential. Rendering the game at a higher resolution than native N64 makes some of the low polygon models look a little funny.
Otherwise the game is a blast. It's pretty short, so you can get through it in a single sitting and the branching paths give it a lot of replay value.

Now in some levels you will see that I don’t get the medal but remember, this this game has multiple routes so therefore it is impossible to see every level in the game in just one playthrough. Therefore, it is required that you play the game three times in order to play through every level and obtain every medal, get 100%, and unlock Expert mode. This also means I will be playing some levels more than once so if I do not get the medal in a certain level, I will get it on the next run of that level. There will be three levels that I will play through twice and one level that I will play through three times, however there may be some differences between the runs on those same levels. And if you do not want to deal with the repetitiveness of the video there will be annotations to skip repeated levels.
This is not a speedrun or a score-run. This is just a regular playthrough that showcases the game and how to obtain the medals. The playthroughs of the medium and hard routes are raw and unedited. However, the easy route is edited and contains two splices throughout.
Since this video is an entire game in a single video, there are time-stamps below so you can skip to a specific route or level. The scores required to obtain the medal are also listed next the all the levels. Most levels have two timestamps, the first timestamp is the intro cutscene, and the second timestamp jumps straight to the gameplay.

A playthrough of Nintendo's 1993 3D space shooter for the Super Nintendo, Star Fox, also known as Star Wing in Europe.
I play through all of the main routes in this video:
Level 1 1:07
Level 2 38:01
Level 3 1:14:03
Star Fox was one of those games that have so many memories attached to it for me, and given how fans still react to the series (despite it having arguably peaked by the second game), I'm not the only one.
While it looks positively creaky by modern day standards, Star Fox was *the* game to get back in 1993 if you wanted to see what cutting edge game graphics looked like.
Okay, well sure, the 3DO was around at that point, but how many people was a $700 CD system really an option for in 1993?
For mere mortals that were playing on things like the SNES and the Sega Genesis, Star Fox was the dream. It was the next generation, today. It was actual real-time 3D on a cartridge! And it was fantastic. People that aren't old enough to remember this might scoff at the simple shapes, flat shading, and the frame rate that regularly dips well below 20fps, but Star Fox did for console gaming what Doom did on the PC. It showed players the potential for 3D, gave them a glimpse of the possibilities, and left them begging for more.
Nintendo was very good at making the SNES appear far more capable than was implied by the machine's underwhelming hardware specs. The core SNES console in no way could have done this alone - it would have laughed, vomited on itself, and set fire all at the same time. The real hero that brought Star Fox to the masses was an enchancement chip, the SuperFX, that was built into the cartridges. It was a coprocessor that ran at about triple the clock speed that the base SNES's internal CPU did, and the game needed this power to push real-time rendered polygons at any sort of playable speed.
And it served its purpose well. It gave us a taste of the future of gaming, something to impress our friends with, and a damn good space shooter all at the same time.
Really, how can anyone hate on the ridiculous setup, story, and cast? I mean, we have a dog commanding a squad of fighter pilots including a fox, a frog, a bird, and a rabbit. Is there anything better than laughing while you hear them say, "Bleh bleh bleh bleh bleh bleh," as they're complaining that you stole their kill? Hehehe. And that soundtrack... it's awesome.
It's hard to understate the importance of Star Fox, and there's no denying how flat out fun it is. I still get just as much a kick out of it now as I did 25 years ago when I played it for the first time.
At the end of class a few months back one of my students requested I do this game, so here ya go, Noah. Hope you like it!
