Deep diving has different meanings depending on the context. Even in recreational diving the meaning may vary:

In recreational diving, a depth below about 30 metres (98 ft), where nitrogen narcosis becomes a significant hazard for some divers, may be considered a "deep dive".

For some recreational diving agencies, Deep diving, or Deep diver may be a certification awarded to divers that have been trained to dive to a specified depth range, generally deeper than 30 metres (98 ft). However, the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) defines anything from 18 metres (60 ft) to 30 metres (100 ft) as a "deep dive" in the context of recreational diving (other diving organisations vary), and considers deep diving a form of technical diving.

In technical diving, a depth below about 60 metres (200 ft) where hypoxic breathing gas becomes necessary to avoid oxygen toxicity may be considered a "deep dive".

In professional diving, a depth that requires special equipment, procedures, or advanced training may be considered a deep dive.

The Architect (film)

The Architect is a 2006 American film directed by Matt Tauber in which architect Leo Waters (Anthony LaPaglia) is confronted by angry residents of a housing complex he designed. The buildings have created a culture of crime in the neighborhood and the residents want them pulled down.

Plot

Architect Leo Waters' life is in trouble and in order to have some sense of control, he attempts to lord over the other members of his family. His career appears to be going nowhere; his wife Julia (Isabella Rossellini) is a bored housewife who spends her time tending to the luxurious modern house he has designed for them, their son Martin (Sebastian Stan) drops out of college and has no interest in taking up his father's dream of also becoming an architect, and their daughter Christina (Hayden Panettiere) has entered her mid-teens and her father has started staring at her maturing body in an unfatherly way.

Abstract Entity Linking or Entity Disambiguation refers to the task of aligning unstructured text to collections of linked data. Given a text that mentions an entity, the task is to establish a link between any substring that refers to an entity to the entity's entry in the knowledge base. For instance, in a text about the American University of Beirut, we want to identify all of the substrings that refer to AUB and annotate them with links into the knowledge base. In this talk we use Wikipedia as our example knowledge base, but approaches are directly applicable to any other collection of Linked Data. A solution for Entity Linking is the key to extract more knowledge, such as facts and relations from text; Entity Linking provides the means to improve text retrieval (IR) and linked data retrieval. In this talk I am going to cover several approaches to Entity Linking from simple to complex and discuss advantages and shortcomings. Different approaches will make use of natural language processing, information retrieval, machine learning and graphical probabilistic models. Bio Dr. Laura Dietz is a post-doctoral researcher working with Bruce Croft at the Center for Intelligent Information Retrieval (CIIR) at the University of Massachusetts. Before that she was working with Andrew McCallum at University of Massachusetts. She obtained her doctoral degree with a thesis on topic models for networked data from Max Planck Institute for Informatik in early 2011, being supervised by Tobias Scheffer and Gerhard Weikum.

Deep diving has different meanings depending on the context. Even in recreational diving the meaning may vary:

In recreational diving, a depth below about 30 metres (98 ft), where nitrogen narcosis becomes a significant hazard for some divers, may be considered a "deep dive".

For some recreational diving agencies, Deep diving, or Deep diver may be a certification awarded to divers that have been trained to dive to a specified depth range, generally deeper than 30 metres (98 ft). However, the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) defines anything from 18 metres (60 ft) to 30 metres (100 ft) as a "deep dive" in the context of recreational diving (other diving organisations vary), and considers deep diving a form of technical diving.

In technical diving, a depth below about 60 metres (200 ft) where hypoxic breathing gas becomes necessary to avoid oxygen toxicity may be considered a "deep dive".

In professional diving, a depth that requires special equipment, procedures, or advanced training may be considered a deep dive.
