Decanter World Wine Awards (DWWA) is a wine competition founded in 2004 and is the world's biggest wine competition with over 15,000 entries per year. The results of the competition are published on Decanter's website and in Decanter's August edition.
The annual competition is chaired by wine expert Steven Spurrier.
This year marks the biggest ever Decanter World Wine Awards (DWWA), which is already the world’s largest and most influential wine competition thanks to a rigorous judging process overseen by international experts.
More than 160 expert judges, including 44 Masters of Wine and 11 Master Sommeliers, tasted 18,094 wines from 56 countries at the 18th edition, making it a record year for wines tasted.
