In this video we are going to describe what is meant by an alternating and direct current, look at the difference between them and how they can be used.

With direct current or DC, we have a cell or a battery in a circuit. The current in a cell only flows in one direction. So the electrons only flow in one direction around the circuit.
But if instead of a cell or battery we have a mains power supply, it is an alternating current or AC, which means the current constantly changes direction.

How To Solve Any Resistors In Series and Parallel Combination Circuit Problems in Physics
This physics video tutorial explains how to solve any resistors in series and parallel combination circuit problems. The first thing you need to do is calculate the equivalent resistance of the circuit which you can use to calculate the current flowing from the battery based on ohm's law. Using the current and the voltage drops across each resistor, you can calculate the electric potential at every point in the circuit which will allow you to calculate the current flowing through any resistor. This technique is useful if there's not multiple batteries in different loops of the equation. Keep in mind, the current flowing in two resistors that are in series with each other is the same. With direct current or DC, we have a cell or a battery in a circuit. The current in a cell only flows in one direction. So the electrons only flow in one direction around the circuit.

This physics video tutorial explains the concept of basic electricity and electric current. It explains how DC circuits work and how to calculate voltage, current, and electrical resistance using Ohm's law. In addition, it shows you how to calculate the electric charge and the number of electrons flowing through a wire at any given point. In addition, it has a few examples and practice problems on electric power, cost of electricity in Kwh and other stuff as well. It provides visual drawings, equations, and formulas as well as the units of common variables that you'll encounter when dealing with electricity. It discusses the difference between conventional current and electron flow. The unit of electric current is the ampere or amps for short. The unit for resistance is ohms and for voltage is volts. 1A is 1C/s or 1 coulomb per second. Electric current is the rate of electric charge flow. Charge represents the quantity of electrons in the case of metal conductors. The unit of power is the watt which is 1 Joule per second. Power is the rate at which energy is transferred. Equations used include V=IR, P=VI, and Q=It.

There are two forms of electricity – alternating current (AC) and direct current (DC).
DC is a linear type of electrical current – it moves in a straight line/flows in one direction. This current moves from the positive pole to the negative pole, while electrons produce electricity while moving from negative to positive.
For DC, the positive and negative poles always remain the same.
AC is a current that constantly changes its flow between positive and negative terminals. This means that electrons also change their flow, following the negative to positive end as the polarity changes.
The speed at which AC changes polarity and completes several cycles in one second is called frequency, and it is measured in Hertz (Hz).
the conversion of DC voltage to AC voltage is a common problem. In any circuit, we can observe that if we design a circuit that takes the AC input and gives DC output. But, if we want to change the circuit from DC to AC, a DC to AC converter circuit is used. The inverter (converter) is frequently required in the circuits like where DC to AC conversion is not possible. So, an inverter circuit is employed for converting the DC to AC converter.
PS : Dear friends, the ammeter connection shown in this video is totally misleading. You should connect an ammeter in series manner with the circuit, I was completely messed that up. But it will not affect the core idea of how to convert DC to AC. Ill upload the corrected videos ASAP.

The first thing you need to do is calculate the equivalent resistance of the circuit which you can use to calculate the current flowing from the battery based on ohm's law. Using the current and the voltage drops across each resistor, you can calculate the electric potential at every point in the circuit which will allow you to calculate the current flowing through any resistor. This technique is useful if there's not multiple batteries in different loops of the equation. Keep in mind, the current flowing in two resistors that are in series with each other is the same. The voltage is the same across resistors connected in parallel. This video contains plenty of examples and practice problems including a current division formula for resistors connected in parallel.
