Mind is a mental healthcharity in England and Wales. Founded in 1946 as the National Association for Mental Health (NAMH), it celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2006.
Mind offers information and advice to people with mental health problems and lobbies government and local authorities on their behalf. It also works to raise public awareness and understanding of issues relating to mental health. Since 1982, it has awarded an annual prize for "Book of the Year" having to do with mental health, in addition to three other prizes
Over 180 local Mind associations (independent, affiliated charities) provide services such as supported housing, floating support schemes, care homes, drop-in centres and self-help support groups. Local Mind associations are often very different in size, make up and character—it is a common misconception that they all work to the same policy and procedural framework. Mind is a national brand but all local associations are unique, although they do all sign up to certain shared aims and ethical guidelines.
MiND: Media Independence is an internet and television service developed by Independence Media, the owners of television station WYBE in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Independence Media is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and television station WYBE is among the largest independently owned and operated non-commercial broadcast television stations in the US.
The MiND service is not only member-supported, but mainly developed, produced and marketed by its members. MiND emphasizes community involvement and the sharing of ideas through television and internet video. MiND's slogan is, "television by the people, for the people."
Every MiND program is 5 minutes long.
In Philadelphia's broadcast version of MiND, international news, Philadelphia Stories and Korean dramas are among the few "long form" programs remaining on the schedule. The internet version of MiND does not include long-form programs.
All short-form (5-minute) programs seen on MiND are shown both on MiND's internet channel and on MiND's television channel. The internet broadcast is delayed up to 5 minutes (so that every 5-minute program is shown in complete form).
Colors (stylized colors) is the fourth major-label Japanese studio album (sixth overall) by South Korean pop rock band CNBLUE. It was released on September 30, 2015, under Warner Music Japan. After releasing the first single "White", the band decided to continue with the theme of color to showcase musical variety through the album. "Supernova" was released as the album's promotional single in September.
Colors was released in four editions: Regular Edition, Limited Editions A and B, and a fan club-only Boice Limited Edition. It went on to debut at number one on the weekly Oricon Albums Chart, the first time in over three years since CNBLUE topped the chart. The band is set to embark on the CNBLUE 2015 Arena Tour: Be a Supernova from November to December in Nagano, Tokyo, Aichi, Fukui, and Osaka.
Background
Colors was announced as CNBLUE's fourth studio album on July 24, 2015, with a release date of September 30. The title is meant to indicate the array of "colorful music" included on the album. After releasing "White", the band decided to continue the theme to showcase more of its musical color. Vocalist Jung Yong-hwa compared the album's varying musical styles to a rainbow. In discussion of the album, guitarist Lee Jong-hyun described that there is no significant difference between CNBLUE's previous album Wave. He explained that, "I don't usually try to change... with time, the piece will naturally change." He noted that the band "played around with sounds", pointing out development in that area; musically, "it's still simple". He felt that the key point of the album was to appeal to a broad audience and be easy to listen to. In midst of his solo activities, Jung Yong-hwa took opportunities to record phrases and sounds before forming them into new songs.
Crossfade is the self-titled debut album by the South CarolinabandCrossfade. It was released on April 13, 2004, five years after they were formed. The album was also released as a DualDisc CD that includes extra content not found on the original, standard edition. The album was certified Platinum in the United States.
The singles from this album helped launch the band to mainstream success. "Cold" remains the band's biggest hit, reaching #2 on the Modern Rock Tracks chart and #3 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks, and is also their only single to chart on the Billboard Hot 100, at #81. Follow-up singles "So Far Away" and "Colors" charted in the top 10 of the Mainstream Rock chart, at #4 and #6, respectively. They also hit the top 20 of the Modern Rock chart ("So Far Away" at #14, "Colors" at #18).
Colors is the fourth album by American progressive metal band Between the Buried and Me, released on September 18, 2007 through Victory Records. The group brought out many different influences within the structure of the songs featured on the album.
Some of these influences are not even derivative of extreme metal. Examples include jazz, acoustic pop, arena rock, and even bluegrass. The album's sound was described by the band as "adult contemporary progressive death metal". Although separated in 8 tracks, Colors gives the impression of one continuous song, with transitions between each part.
Overview
Colors was recorded in April through May 2007 at the Basement Studios with Jamie King as the chosen producer for it. Prior to its release, it received great praising reception and sold 12,600 copies in its first week of release, reaching 57th on the Billboard 200, which was the first time the band reached the top 100 on the list.Mike Portnoy, formerly of Dream Theater (who was one of Between the Buried and Me's main influences when they had first formed their band) named Colors his favorite album of the year. PopMatters wrote, "A true marvel, this challenging but ultimately highly rewarding album is an example of a young band just discovering what it’s capable of. At the rate they’re going, the modern metal pantheon awaits," while Ultimate-Guitar.com also named it "Best Album of the Year" in their annual This Year in Metal.
