Passion is the first album by the Canadian singer Kreesha Turner. It was released on August 12, 2008, in Canada and was released in early 2009 in the United States.Passion had been available for advanced streaming on MuchMusic.com. a week earlier.Passion was released in the US in early 2009.
In early August, 2008, the album was leaked onto MTV Canada's The Leak on its official website.
Initially, on the back of the album, track 14 was listed as the "Bounce With Me (Rhythm Mix)" but this was an error and the track is actually the "Don't Call Me Baby (Rhythm Mix)". This error on the back cover was corrected on later pressings of the album.
Although Turner originally signed in the US to Virgin Records, a Capitol Music Group label, her first American release will instead be shifted to the Capitol Records imprint, also within the Capitol Music Group umbrella. This will keep a consistency with her Canadian releases under EMI Music Canada which utilize the Capitol Records imprint and are copyrighted by Capitol Records, LLC.
Rhythm (from Greek ῥυθμός, rhythmos, "any regular recurring motion, symmetry" (Liddell and Scott 1996)) generally means a "movement marked by the regulated succession of strong and weak elements, or of opposite or different conditions" (Anon. 1971, 2537). This general meaning of regular recurrence or pattern in time can apply to a wide variety of cyclical natural phenomena having a periodicity or frequency of anything from microseconds to millions of years.
In the performance arts rhythm is the timing of events on a human scale; of musical sounds and silences, of the steps of a dance, or the meter of spoken language and poetry. Rhythm may also refer to visual presentation, as "timed movement through space" (Jirousek 1995, ) and a common language of pattern unites rhythm with geometry. In recent years, rhythm and meter have become an important area of research among music scholars. Recent work in these areas includes books by Maury Yeston(Yeston 1976), Fred Lerdahl and Ray Jackendoff, Jonathan Kramer, Christopher Hasty (Hasty 1997), Godfried Toussaint(Toussaint 2005), William Rothstein, and Joel Lester (Lester 1986).
The temporal duration between two stressed syllables is equal (stress-timed);
The idea as such was first expressed by Kenneth L. Pike in 1945, though the concept of language naturally occurring in chronologically and rhythmically equal measures is found at least as early as 1775 (in Prosodia Rationalis). This has implications for language typology: D. Abercrombie claimed "As far as is known, every language in the world is spoken with one kind of rhythm or with the other ... French, Telugu and Yoruba ... are syllable-timed languages, ... English, Russian and Arabic ... are stress-timed languages'.
While many linguists find the idea of different rhythm types appealing, empirical studies have not been able to find acoustic correlates of the postulated types, calling into question the validity of these types.
Rhythm was written, recorded and produced by Mariam Wallentin and Andreas Werliin in their Stockholm studio and focuses almost exclusively on Wallentin's vocals and Werliin's percussion. “Sound-wise we wanted it to feel like a live experience,” Werliin explained in an interview. “Almost every song is one take. We recorded standing in the same room, no screens or isolation, looking each other in the eyes."
The band described how after several busy years of touring they wanted to make a "going back to our roots" album, recorded in their own space with no time limits or external pressures.
Critical reception
On the Metacritic website, which aggregates reviews from critics and assigns a normalised rating out of 100, Rhythm received a score of 81, based on 2 mixed and 9 positive reviews. All About Jazz wrote that "Rhythm has rhythm, but it's also brimming over with melody, harmony and drama" and also praised Wallentin and Werliin's production, saying that it "gives the sound such richness and strength that its energy is almost palpable".

ZX Spectrum: THE 100 BEST GAMES all years 1982-1992, episode 1 - 1982
1982 was the year for the release of the ZX Spectrum. It was released on 23 April 1982 in two models - one with 16 KB of RAM and one with 48 KB of RAM, and these computers did certainly not lack support. More games were released for the 16k than for the 48k this year. Many of these games were surprisingly great looking and playable, but a lot suffered from some awkward and un-redefinable keyboard controls. O, P, Q, A, M had not become the standard keyboard controls yet.
Have you missed out on a classic game..?? Find out here, because we bring to you the 100 best games from 1982 in this video, and this series will feature 11 episodes with the 100 best games every year from 1982-1992.

The 80’s was a decade of real positivity. It showed in the colours, the musical experimentation, and the general economic growth. It was a major step into the new world, with the tearing down of the Berlin wall, signalling the death of communism in Eastern Europe.
Lots of musicians cite the Yamaha DX-7 synth, and the introduction of MIDI in 1983, as the destruction of music in the 80s, saying that it made the music sound thin, and too similar between different artists. This may well have been true for the latter parts of the decade, but we found that the wealth of music between 1982 and 1984 was almost too much, and we had to exclude many songs we loved. We think this is due to the introduction of newer electronic synths, and there being a magical time of experimentation between the old and the new.
Dance music and raves really took a foothold as the 90’s grew nearer, and we found that consistency in memorable albums began to fade, leading to early signs of a ‘singles’ and ‘one-hit-wonder’ based industry. This was when we were born.
