Max Velmans (born 27 May 1942) is Emeritus Professor of Psychology at Goldsmiths, University of London. He co-founded the Consciousness and Experiential Psychology Section of the British Psychological Society in 1994, and served as its chair from 2003 to 2006. He was appointed National Visiting Professor for 2010–2011 by the Indian Council of Philosophical Research, and in 2011 was elected to the British Academy of Social Sciences.
Velmans has around 100 publications in the area of consciousness studies, including Understanding Consciousness (2000). In his map of prominent theories of consciousness Francisco Varela categorises Velmans' work as non-reductionist, stressing the importance of first-person accounts of the phenomenology of consciousness, as well as third-person accounts of brain states and functions, which in Velmans' work are thought of as complementary.
Velmans is principally known for the theory of consciousness called "reflexive monism," in which the materialist/dualist gap is bridged by placing aspects of human consciousness in the experienced world, rather than within the brain; the theory also combines facets of realism with facets of idealism, though it falls short of avowing the necessity of perception to the existence of reality per se (the principle of "esse est percipi").
Changing Places (1975) is the first "campus novel" by British novelist David Lodge. The subtitle is "A Tale of Two Campuses", and thus both the title and subtitle are literary allusions to Charles Dickens' A Tale of Two Cities. It is the first text in Lodge's 'Campus Trilogy' of novels, followed by Small World (1984) and Nice Work (1988).
Synopsis
Changing Places is a comic novel with serious undercurrents. It tells the story of the six-month academic exchange program between fictional universities located in Rummidge (modelled on Birmingham in England) and Plotinus, in the state of Euphoria (modeled on Berkeley in California). The two academics taking part in the exchange are both aged 40, but appear at first to otherwise have little in common, mainly because of the differing academic systems of their native countries.
The English participant, Philip Swallow, is a very conventional and conformist British academic, and somewhat in awe of the American way of life. By contrast the American, Morris Zapp, is a top-ranking American professor who only agrees to go to Rummidge because his wife agrees to postpone long-threatened divorce proceedings on condition that he move out of the marital home for six months. Zapp is at first both contemptuous of, and amused by, what he perceives as the amateurism of British academia.
Diplopia, commonly known as double vision, is the simultaneous perception of two images of a single object that may be displaced horizontally, vertically, diagonally (i.e., both vertically and horizontally), or rotationally in relation to each other. It is usually the result of impaired function of the extraocular muscles (EOMs), where both eyes are still functional but they cannot converge to target the desired object. Problems with EOMs may be due to mechanical problems, disorders of the neuromuscular junction, disorders of the cranial nerves (III, IV, and VI) that stimulate the muscles, and occasionally disorders involving the supranuclear oculomotor pathways or ingestion of toxins.
Diplopia can be one of the first signs of a systemic disease, particularly to a muscular or neurological process, and it may disrupt a person’s balance, movement, and/or reading abilities.
Classification
One of the first steps in diagnosing diplopia is often to see whether one of two major classifications may be eliminated (both may be present.) This involves blocking one eye to see which symptoms are evident in each eye alone.
Double Vision is a live video released by Bonfire in 2007. It was recorded live at Firefest III in Nottingham, United Kingdom. Aside from the concert, addition footage of the band's videos from the 1980s, behind the scenes stuff and three songs performed at Rockpalast are included.

Osteo-odonto-keratoprosthesis or "tooth in eye" surgery for short is a procedure in which an individual's tooth is combined the skin from his or her cheek to create a man made lens which will restore vision.
To begin, the patient's tooth is extracted along with part of the jaw bone, chiseled into a square and hole is drilled in the middle. -Silver
This is probably one of the hardest colors to believe it actually exists, silver eyes are a reality and although they’re similar to blue eyes, from a genetic point of view, they have different hues.
-Green
Only 2% of the population have this kind of eyes and the females are the ones who usually possess them.
-Amber
Color honey eyes can change from yellowish to golden or copper, which can be found between hazelnut and green colors.
-Blue
According to studies from the professor Hans Eiberg, blue eyes we caused by a single person coming from the Black Sea who suffered a genetic mutation between the years 6 000 and 10 000.
-Hazelnut
Don’t mistake this color with the dark ones. This weird tone is between green and brown, it must not be confused with the heterochromia either.

You may have heard of the butterfly effect, where butterflies flapping their wings somehow cause tornadoes. Although it seems pretty unlikely, butterflies can affect the weather, just not in the way you might think.

These are the rarest eye colors in the world. Do blue or green eyes surprise you? Well, get ready to see even stranger colors, colors that you won't believe really exist.
Here the top 10 of the rarest eye colors in the world
-Heterochromia
Eyes of uncommon color call the attention, but it would be even more rare to see a person with eyes of different colors.
-Central Heterochromia
This is a kind of heterochromia, also known as cat eyes and can be considered even way rarer than the last one.
-Red
Vampires might not exist, but at least the red eyes that characterize them do.
-Black
These eyes are characterized by a dark iris, almost impossible to differentiate it from the pupil.
-Violet
Since it’s an uncommon color, urban legends trying to explain the origin of this colors were made, one of them is the Alexandria’s syndrome.

On October 18th, 2018, after a long day of pre-tour rehearsals, Billie spoke with VF again to answer the exact same questions and look back at a time capsule of her answers from last year. Her Instagram follower count grew from 257K to 6.3 million. She went from playing crowds of 500 fans to playing arenas for more than 40,000. See how Billie’s life changed over the last year.

The tooth is then combined with a manmade tube and implanted into the cheek or chest for two to four months in order to allow the damaged tissue around the tooth to heel. A patch of skin from inside the patient's cheek is taken and placed over the eye.
After two to four months, the tooth composite is lifted from the cheek and placed into the eye socket. The patient should now be able to see, but it will take a couple of weeks for his or her eyesight to stabilize.

Here's a video on how to stay centered in your lane. There are mainly two reasons why beginners drift:
1-They're not looking at the right place,
2- the way they hold the wheel.
That's what I talk about in this video. Hope you like it.
Note: While I try to make my videos as universal as possible, rules and laws may vary according to the place where you’re driving and might be different from the ones in this video. Always drive according to the laws and rules that apply to the place where you are driving. Requirements at the driving exam may also be different than the ones shown here. Always respect the requirements that apply to the place where you are passing your driving exam. This video is not meant to replace your official driving courses.

Feeling down and dirty, feeling kinda mean I've been from one to another extreme It's time I had a good time Aint' got time to wait I wanna stick around, till I can't see straight Chorus: Fill my eyes with that double vision No disguise for that double vision Ooh, when you get through to me It's always new to me My double vision gets the best of me Never do more than I really need My mind is racing but my body's in the lead Tonight's the night I'm gonna push it to the limit I'll live all of my years in a single minute
