History

CTG was founded in 1966 by Randolph A. Marks and G. David Baer, two former employees of IBM, in Buffalo, New York. It was then called Marks-Baer Inc. (MBI). MBI's initial market was the medical industry, since both founders had experience in that area. By 1968, staff had grown to 20 and Marks-Baer Inc. changed its name to Computer Task Group Inc. (CTG). The company went public in 1969.

Since their inception, these paradigms have been the reason behind most of the technological advancements that we see around us today. Whether it be machine learning-based intelligent applications, smart healthcare, smart city applications, or high-performance computing applications, cloud and IoT both have collaborated and hence, created avenues for advancements in almost all walks of life. When cloud and IoT collaborate to enhance the service-provisioning, various tasks are generated. These tasks are related to data storage, computation, application (container) migration, and so on. History

MBI's initial market was the medical industry, since both founders had experience in that area. By 1968, staff had grown to 20 and Marks-Baer Inc. changed its name to Computer Task Group Inc. (CTG).
