The Cave of Machpelah Part 1
Ron Wyatt believed the traditional Cave of Machpelah was not the true site of Abraham's cave he had purchased in Hebron to bury his family. He had a strange series of events happen which led him to another site in Hebron that he believed was the actual burial cave of Abraham. However, he was never able to complete his exploration and study of the site. I am posting the story, and next the evidence, which led to his belief. If his belief is correct, I believe God can arrange for it to be made known, if it is His will. I am protecting the people who own the land and will not divulge their name or location. It will be interesting and possibly exciting to see what comes of this information. Be sure and watch part 2, which will be posted next.

The Cave of Machpelah Part 2 the Evidence
In 1979, Ron Wyatt learned about some strange events that occurred at a friend's home in Hebron, Israel. He was working in Jerusalem and didn't want to stop work to go and investigate. When he finally went and talked with the family that lived there, what he learned gave him cause to believe something very significant took place at that site. He wasn't able to return until 1993. At that time, he saw the evidence which confirmed his earlier belief that the Cave of Machpelah was on that land. This video presents a broad overview of the evidence which he believed pointed to that conclusion.

The actual double-cave, called the Cave of Machpelah--(meaning double) is located under the great building built by Herod in Chevron. The cave is at the end of a tunnel which begins here, on the seventh step, outside the South side of the building. There are side by side caves as well as two caves on top of one another, hence the name Machpelah. It is this cave that Abraham purchased from, Ephron the Hitite. There are four couples buried here: Adam and Eve, Abraham and Sarah, Issac and Rebecca, Jacob and Leah.

All these were descendants of Keturah.
5 Abraham left everything he owned to Isaac. 6 But while he was still living, he gave gifts to the sons of his concubines and sent them away from his son Isaac to the land of the east.
7 Abraham lived a hundred and seventy-five years. 8 Then Abraham breathed his last and died at a good old age, an old man and full of years; and he was gathered to his people. 9 His sons Isaac and Ishmael buried him in the cave of Machpelah near Mamre, in the field of Ephron son of Zohar the Hittite, 10 the field Abraham had bought from the Hittites. There Abraham was buried with his wife Sarah. 11 After Abraham’s death, God blessed his son Isaac, who then lived near Beer Lahai Roi.
Genesis 25:1-4 (NIV) 1 Abraham had taken another wife, whose name was Keturah. 2 She bore him Zimran, Jokshan, Medan, Midian, Ishbak and Shuah. 3 Jokshan was the father of Sheba and Dedan; the descendants of Dedan were the Ashurites, the Letushites and the Leummites. 4 The sons of Midian were Ephah, Epher, Hanok, Abida and Eldaah. Genesis 24:36 (NIV) 36 My master’s wife Sarah has borne him a son in her old age, and he has given him everything he owns.
Genesis 25:7–11 (NIV) 7 Abraham lived a hundred and seventy-five years. 8 Then Abraham breathed his last and died at a good old age, an old man and full of years; and he was gathered to his people.
Hebrews 11:13 (NIV) 13 All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance, admitting that they were foreigners and strangers on earth.
Genesis 25:9-11 (NIV) 9 His sons Isaac and Ishmael buried him in the cave of Machpelah near Mamre, in the field of Ephron son of Zohar the Hittite, 10 the field Abraham had bought from the Hittites. There Abraham was buried with his wife Sarah. 11 After Abraham’s death, God blessed his son Isaac, who then lived near Beer Lahai Roi.
Galatians 4:28 (NIV) 28 Now you, brothers and sisters, like Isaac, are children of promise.
• Abraham left us a clear witness of salvation through faith.
Romans 4:1–5 (NLT) 1 Abraham was, humanly speaking, the founder of our Jewish nation. What did he discover about being made right with God? 2 If his good deeds had made him acceptable to God, he would have had something to boast about. But that was not God’s way. 3 For the Scriptures tell us, “Abraham believed God, and God counted him as righteous because of his faith.”
4 When people work, their wages are not a gift, but something they have earned. 5 But people are counted as righteous, not because of their work, but because of their faith in God who forgives sinners.

Luke 19:10 (NIV) 10 For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”
God used Abraham - an ordinary man - to do extraordinary things - Because he was faithful to believe God’s Word and he was Obedient to God’s Word - even when it didn’t make any sense!
Ephesians 2:10 You are God’s masterpiece, created anew in Christ Jesus to do the good works that he prepared in advance for you to do.
Nutshell: Not only does Abraham’s legacy of faith continue, but so does the Blessing of the Promise fulfilled in Jesus!
Abraham left a legacy of faith behind when he died… but it was built on a lot of years of honoring God in his actions, attitude, and decisions.
Your Spiritual heritage - that Legacy of Faith that you hope lives on after you, is being written out today!

• Abraham left us a clear witness of salvation through faith.
• Abraham leaves us the example of a faithful life.
• From Abraham, we learn how to walk by faith.
• Finally, through Abraham lineage, we have a Savior.
Matthew 1:1, 17 (NIV) ,
Luke 19:10 (NIV) 10 For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”
