Combustion/kəmˈbʌs.tʃən/ or burning is a high-temperature exothermicredox chemical reaction between a fuel and an oxidant, usually atmospheric oxygen, that produces oxidized, often gaseous products, in a mixture termed as smoke. Combustion in a fire produces a flame, and the heat produced can make combustion self-sustaining. Combustion is often a complicated sequence of elementaryradical reactions. Solid fuels, such as wood, first undergo endothermicpyrolysis to produce gaseous fuels whose combustion then supplies the heat required to produce more of them. Combustion is often hot enough that light in the form of either glowing or a flame is produced. A simple example can be seen in the combustion of hydrogen and oxygen into water vapor, a reaction commonly used to fuel rocket engines. This reaction releases 242kJ/mol of heat and reduces the enthalpy accordingly (at constant temperature and pressure):
Combustion of an organic fuel in air is always exothermic because the double bond in O2 is much weaker than other double bonds or pairs of single bonds, and therefore the formation of the stronger bonds in the combustion products CO2 and H2O results in the release of energy. The bond energies in the fuel play only a minor role, since they are similar to those in the combustion products; e.g., the sum of the bond energies of CH4 is nearly the same as that of CO2. The heat of combustion is approximately -418 kJ per mole of O2 used up in the combustion reaction, and can be estimated from the elemental composition of the fuel.

It has been called the first luxury olive oil in the world. Its brand name originates from the Greek word λάδι (ladi) which means oil in Greek.

The occipital angle is rounded and corresponds with the point of meeting of the sagittal and the lambdoid suture—a point which is termed the lambda (after the Greek letter of the same name whose lowercase form resembles the junction formed by the sutures); in the fetus this part of the skull is membranous, and is called the posterior fontanelle.
Lambda is an association for gay people in Odense, Denmark, founded 1993-09-11. The community wants to strengthen the identities of gays and lesbians, and work with other gay communities for gay rights.
History
The Danish National Association of Gays and Lesbians (Landsforeningen for Bøsser og Lesbiske or LBL) originally had a local division in Odense, which between 1991 and 1993 hosted the Discotek club and ran the Café Pan in Sankt Anne Gade in central Odense. When the club was closed down, the whole board resigned in protest, and when the LBL didn’t succeed in rebuilding the local division in Odense, a group of people decided to make a new gay community. They founded Lambda on 11 September 1993, after a meeting in Brandts Klædefabrik in Odense. In 1994 Pan Odense had to close again, and a lot of gay people didn’t have a place to party. Lambda rented premises in the basement of Vindegade 100, with a café open on every Friday and Saturday, and a big Rainbowparty every other weekend until June 2005. In June 2005, Lambda had to move, as the building was going to be used for apartments. In October 2007 a new location was found in Odense Centrum.

Despite popular belief, an engine running lean does not actually run hotter. This video looks to answer many questions surrounding internal combustion engines and how they operate different with various air fuel ratios, ranging from lean to rich. A lean mixture means the engine does not have enough fuel to burn all of the air. A rich mixture means there is more fuel than needed in the combustion chamber, and not enough air to burn all of it. An ideal air fuel mixture is such that all the air and fuel is burned completely, with nothing left over. For a gasoline engine, this ratio is about 14.7:1. This video will answer the following questions:
1) At what air fuel ratio do engines burn the hottest?
2) Why do engines burn colder when rich?
3) Why do lean burning engines run colder?
4) Why do people believe that an engine running lean will actually burn hotter and cause problems?

This will be the beginning of a series that I'm going to do on computer controlled systems. I've had quite a bit of response to the check engine light video and I think this is the next logical step. I've covered the basic operation of an O2 or oxygen sensor as the basis for closed loop operation. This will probably not be the last time I cover information on O2 sensors, there is so much more to these than meets the eye.

In this video I go over how you can diagnose excessive amounts of Hydro Carbons (HC), Carbon Monoxide (CO) and Nitrogen Oxide (Nox) in your exhaust. I go over how a rich or lean condition can cause one or more of these gases to be high and therefore causing you to fail emissions. Also I go over some components like the Catalytic Converter, Oxygen Sensor (O2), Ignition Coils, Spark Plug Wires, Spark Plugs, EGR Valve, which are part of your emissions systems on your car and how they effect different levels of each gas.
