The band wrote and recorded demos for the album at their Central Coast home studio in New South Wales, Australia. This time around, all three brothers had an input on the songwriting with everyone working on their songs individually before bringing them together for the final polish. Jon and Dann were the most productive, collectively writing around 50 songs. All of the music was written on guitars and piano.
After two months, the band flew to Easton, Maryland in the United States where they met up with engineer John Alagía who the band worked with on Dreams. The band chose to work with John Alagía because they knew he would let them get on with the job. "To be honest, we did nearly all of it without him," says Jon. "We basically worked with him because we had to - the record company wouldn't allow us to do it all ourselves."
Real Life is the ninth album by the Scottish band Simple Minds, released in April 1991. The album reached No. 2 in the UK, and No. 74 in the United States. Four singles from the album were Top 40 hits in the UK, including the Top 10 hit "Let There Be Love". In the US, "See The Lights" reached the Top 40 and also reached No. 1 on the US Modern Rock Tracks chart.
This was the first Simple Minds album recorded without keyboardist and original bandmember Mick MacNeil, who left the band after the previous tour in 1990. The core band on this album comprise only Jim Kerr, Charlie Burchill, and Mel Gaynor (who all appear on the cover), with the remaining personnel being session musicians.
The original album cover was replaced in later pressings by the original rear cover shot of the band (see infobox).
2002/2003 remastered edition
Virgin Records reissued the CD as part of the Simple Minds remasters in late 2002 (mini-LP replica; Virgin SIMCDX10) and early 2003 (standard jewel-case; SIMCD10). On the remastered version, a couple of differences are apparent when compared to the first edition (Virgin CDV 2660). The 2002/2003 remaster features an extended mix of "Let There Be Love", not the one used on the first edition of the album, although it is not mentioned on the cover or in the booklet. The segues between tracks have also been re-edited, so that the running time of individual tracks may differ slightly between the editions. Also, the CD version of the first edition had "Banging on the Door" split into two track in the disc's table of contents (running time was 1:16 + 4:22), but the music as such did not indicate any break between the parts. On the 2002/2003 reissue, the track is indexed as one.
Real Life is the debut album from Contemporary Christian music singer Cindy Morgan. It was jointly released in 1992 by Word Records (for the Christian market) and Epic Records (for the secular market). This set earned Morgan her first 6 Dove Award nominations, even though it would be her first win in the New Artist category. Two singles from this album were released to commercial radio: "Say It Again" and "Anytime At All."
Track listing
US/Canada:
"Real Life" (Morgan, Grant Cunningham, Hammond)– 4:14
"Say It Again" (Morgan, Tommy Greer, Hammond, Cunningham)– 3:39
"Moment In Time" (Morgan, Hammond, Cunningham)– 4:09
Frederick George "Freddy" Moore (born July 19, 1950) is an American rock musician probably best known for his 1980 song "It's Not A Rumour", which he co-wrote with his then-wife Demi Moore, and recorded with his band The Nu-Kats. The song was not a chart hit, but the video did receive airplay on MTV in the early 1980s.
History
Moore was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and aside from his family's brief move to San Francisco, California in 1964/65, grew up in the Twin Cities area. "I didn't have any friends and really didn't want any. I just sat in my room and played Beatle songs and wrote my own," he claims. At this point, he was known as Rick Moore.
After performances with his band An English Sky, Moore started performing as "Skogie", circa 1970, and soon after formed Skogie and the Flaming Pachucos. Later, the band name reverted to Skogie.
"Boy (I Need You)" is a song by American singer-songwriterMariah Carey, taken from her ninth studio album, Charmbracelet (2002). It was written by Carey, Justin Smith, Norman Whitfield and Cameron Giles, and produced by the former and Just Blaze. The song was released as the album's second single on November 26, 2002. Initially, "The One" had been chosen as the second single from the album, however, halfway through the filming of a music video for it, the singer decided to release "Boy (I Need You)" instead. Considered by Carey as one of her favorites, the track is a reworked version of rapper Cam'ron's song "Oh Boy" released earlier that year.
The song was met with generally mixed reviews from contemporary critics. Many praised Carey's versatility and considered it as one of the stand-out tracks of Charmbracelet for having a different production when compared to the others. However, the sample hook of the song was described as "annoying". The single failed to make much impact on the charts around the world; it reached number 68 on the US Billboard Hip-Hop/R&B Songs chart and number 57 on the US Hot Singles Sales chart. Elsewhere, the song reached the top 20 in the United Kingdom, while peaking within the top 40 in Australia, the Netherlands, Ireland and New Zealand.
Boy 7 is a Dutch movie from 2015 directed by Lourens Blok. The film is based on the eponymous book by Mirjam Mous.
The main roles are played by Matthijs van de Sande Bakhuyzen, Ella-June Henrard and Tygo Gernandt. The story is set in a future version of the Netherlands, in which the Netherlands has turned into a police state. The story is told in the form of Flashbacks. It is not a literal adaptation of the book, but based on the theme of the book.
The Jīva or Atman (/ˈɑːtmən/; Sanskrit:आत्मन्) is a philosophical term used within Jainism to identify the soul. It is one's true self (hence generally translated into English as 'Self') beyond identification with the phenomenal reality of worldly existence. As per the Jain cosmology, jīva or soul is also the principle of sentience and is one of the tattvas or one of the fundamental substances forming part of the universe. According to The Theosophist, "some religionists hold that Atman (Spirit) and Paramatman (God) are one, while others assert that they are distinct ; but a Jain will say that Atman and Paramatman are one as well as distinct." In Jainism, spiritual disciplines, such as abstinence, aid in freeing the jīva "from the body by diminishing and finally extinguishing the functions of the body."
Jain philosophy is essentially dualistic. It differentiates two substances, the self and the non-self.

Evermore - Real Life
Lyrics:
Welcome to the real life
Welcome to the real life
I've come to realise it's no game
No one is the same
There's so much more to life than meets the eye
At night I just can't sleep
The mornings come too soon
My head is swimming in
The mess around this room
Voices in the street
I hear them telling me
Welcome to the real life
Open up your eyes
Listen to the words they're saying
The chords are changing
So take off your disguise and step out of the night
Sometimes I just can't think
I can't think what to do
The noise is deafening
I can't get through to you
Voices in the street
I hear them asking me
What are we coming to?
Why are the reasons so few?
What are we coming to?
What does it mean to you?
After all we've been through
It all comes down to you

Evermore - My Guiding light (Real life album 2006)
This is a little gem of a song that appears to have been overlooked. Appearing on Evermore’s album “Real Life”, it wasn’t even produced as a single. It is well outside my specialty field, but at least it is of Kiwi (New Zealand) origin. Possibly, the best I have heard.

Simple Minds have been musical pioneers for 40 glittering years. Catching the mood of the post-punk era, when the angry sounds of 1977 were splintering into a thousand different shapes, they emerged with a style rooted in the art-rock of David Bowie and the electronic dance of Donna Summer. They went on to become one of the great bands of their generation, deploying rousing choruses and booming atmospherics to provide a soundtrack that has endured. They topped the American chart with Don't You (Forget About Me) and followed suit in the UK with the Ballad Of The Streets EP (featuring Belfast Child). In selling over 60 million records, they have seen three of their 20 studio albums reach number one in the UK – Sparkle In The Rain, Once Upon A Time and Street Fighting Years – a chart-topping feat equalled by their live album Live In The City Of Light and the compilation Glittering Prize. A spellbinding touring band, they have graced the world's biggest stadiums. They starred at Live Aid and played three momentous London shows in honour of Nelson Mandela. The past decade has also seen a remarkable resurgence, their world-class credentials acknowledged by a Q magazine Inspiration award in 2014 and an Ivor Novello in 2016. They are now marking their 40th anniversary with a world tour, live album and career-spanning compilation.

Lyrics:
Welcome to the real life
Welcome to the real life
I've come to realise it's no game
No one is the same
There's so much more to life than meets the eye
At night I just can't sleep
The mornings come too soon
My head is swimming in
The mess around this room
Voices in the street
I hear them telling me
Welcome to the real life
Open up your eyes
Listen to the words they're saying
The chords are changing
So take off your disguise and step out of the night
Sometimes I just can't think
I can't think what to do
The noise is deafening
I can't get through to you
Voices in the street
I hear them asking me
What are we coming to?
Why are the reasons so few?
What are we coming to?
What does it mean to you?
After all we've been through
It all comes down to you
It all comes down to you
Welcome to the real life
This is a little gem of a song that appears to have been overlooked. Appearing on Evermore’s album “Real Life”, it wasn’t even produced as a single. It is well outside my specialty field, but at least it is of Kiwi (New Zealand) origin. Possibly, the best I have heard.
