Pennsylvania is Pere Ubu's eleventh studio album. The album marks Tom Herman's return to Pere Ubu's studio work after a twenty-year absence.
Director's Cut
In 2005, to celebrate Pere Ubu's 30th Anniversary, a "Director's Cut" was released which featured new mastering, alternate mixes, and two bonus tracks. David Thomas explains: "The point of doing a Director's Cut is to benefit from that older and wiser thing. I reviewed all alternate mixes from the session, sometimes discovering that an earlier mix turned out to be superior to the chosen mix. As well, 10 years later, we have access to improved mastering technology. Consequently, there is a greater clarity and cohesion to the Director's Cut. We are not going to make both versions available. The Director's Cut is the way it's supposed to be. Period."
"Pennsylvania" is the official state song of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The song was written and composed by Eddie Khoury and Ronnie Bonner and serves as the official song for all public purposes. State Representative Frank L. Oliver introduced the bill for the song, and it was adopted by the General Assembly and signed into law by GovernorRobert P. Casey on November 29, 1990.
I drove through Brownsville, PA at night to see what it looks like, and this is what I saw. Brownsville is a Rust Belt City that has suffered severe decline and economic hardship for many decades. As the industrial era came to an end, businesses came to a close and many people had to move to find work elsewhere. To this day there are still many abandoned buildings and homes. I still find it very unique as the architecture and designs are quite amazing, let's check some of it out.

Brownsville, Pennsylvania | What The Hell Happened?
Brownsville, PA...WOW! This is easily one of the hardest hit areas within the Rust Belt. Located 40 miles south of Pittsburgh, it really looks like time standing still from decades before. Abandoned homes, empty businesses, it certainly has that ghost town appeal. After the industrial era decline in the 1970's, Brownsville's economy collapsed and hasn't been able to recover since. Steel, railroad, and coal jobs were lost. Small businesses closed and banks shut their doors, people had to move elsewhere to find work. Will it ever find it's way back to recovery? I hope so. For now let's take a drive and check it out!

For years the Cranmer family who calls this place home thinks this entity is harmless but they would soon discover after an accidental provocation that this was not the case. Evil will rise and it's tendrils will infect everything they touch. Will the family make it out alive and with their souls intact?
The Cranmers seemed fated to own the house at 3406 Brownsville Road. As a young boy, Bob had been drawn to the property, and, just when the family decided to move back to Brentwood, it went up for sale. Without a second thought, they purchased the house that Bob had always dreamed of owning. But soon, the family began experiencing strange phenomena—objects moving on their own, ghostly footsteps, unsettling moaning sounds—that gradually increased in violence, escalating to physical assaults and, most disturbingly, bleeding walls. Bob, Lesa, and their four children were under attack from a malicious demon that was conjuring up terrifying manifestations to destroy their tight-knit household. They had two choices: leave or draw on their unwavering faith to exorcise the malicious fiend who haunted their home.
The credibility of the story gains weight from Bob's esteemed background as a politician. His skepticism and the corroborating evidence from his family members contribute to the enigmatic nature of the account. From shadow figures, bizarre happenings, demons and other strange manifestations. This story will leave the hair on the back of your neck standing on end.
