Richard Donnell Ross (born January 26, 1960), known as "Freeway" Rick Ross, is an American author and convicted drug trafficker best known for the drug empire he established in Los Angeles, California, in the early to mid 1980s.
Ross has said that when he first saw crack-cocaine as a teenager in 1979, he did not immediately believe it was a drug because it looked different from other drugs he had seen.
The nickname Freeway came from Ross' owning properties along the Los Angeles Harbor Freeway and living next to the 110. According to an October 2013 Esquire magazine article, "Between 1982 and 1989, federal prosecutors estimated, Ross bought and resold several metric tons of cocaine. In 1980 Ross' gross earnings were said to be in excess of $900 million – with a profit of nearly $300 million. Converted roughly to present-day dollars: 2.5 billion gross, and $850 million in profit, respectively.” During the height of his drug dealing, Ross was said to have sold "$3 million in one day." According to the Oakland Tribune, "In the course of his rise, prosecutors estimate that Ross exported several tons of cocaine to New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania and elsewhere, and made more than $600 million between 1983 and 1984."
Richard Alexander "Ricky" Ross (born 22 December 1957) is a Scottish singer-songwriter and broadcaster. He is the lead singer of the rock band Deacon Blue.
Biography
Ross was born in Dundee, Scotland, in 1957 and attended the High School of Dundee, an independent school. Before the formation of Deacon Blue, he released a solo album So Long Ago, on the Glasgow independent label Sticky Records. After the band's break-up in 1994, Ross resurrected his solo career and Epic released his second solo album What You Are in 1996. As Ross's first solo album So Long Ago was a minor release on a relatively minor label, What You Are became his first solo release on a major label and as such is generally regarded as his debut solo album for a major label, notwithstanding any current or future projects on either category of label. Or release.
Ross released another album, New Recording, on his own label in 1997.
After Deacon Blue's reunion in 1999 and the release of their Walking Back Home and Homesick albums, Ross entered into a new publishing deal with Warner Chappell UK, and released another solo album, This Is the Life, through Chrysalis Records's short-lived Papillion label, in 2002. Papillion had released Deacon Blue's Homesick album the previous year.
Blue Horse was known for a willingness to rescue white men in distress and the iconic one-eyed chief was popular subject for portraitists. Blue Horse's life chronicles the history of the Oglala Lakota through the 19th and early 20th centuries. Blue Horse and his adopted brother Red Cloud fought for over 50 years to deflect the worst effects of white rule; feed, clothe and educate their people and preserve sacred Oglala Lakota land and heritage.
Early life
Blue Horse was the second son of Old Chief Smoke and Burnt Her Woman, and the twin brother of Big Mouth.
Red Cloud was the adopted brother of Blue Horse. Red Cloud was adopted by Old Chief Smoke, his maternal uncle, around 1825 at the age of three after Red Cloud’s parents died. Blue Horse and Red Cloud were raised as brothers and mentored by Old Chief Smoke. As a young warrior, Blue Horse led war parties with Red Cloud against the Ute, Shoshone, Bannock, Arikara, Crow, Omaha, Pawnee and Piegan.

How Rick Ross Blew $40 Million
How does Rick Ross spend his millions? He’s worth $40M in 2022 and he shamelessly blows it in Versace stores on $1,500 silk shirts, $3,899 Louis Vutton Air Jordans, and $281 Nroda I’ll be Rich Forever Bee Sunglasses with a honey bee in the middle. He has a shoe collection spread over three closets, seven homes, over one hundred cars, and no private jet - that’s right: Ricky Rozay travels around Delta when he can - can’t have it all. We’ll talk about his Promised Land Atlanta estate he bought from former heavyweight champ Evander Holyfield for $6.4M at a foreclosure auction, how he cuts the grass himself on a John Deere tractor, and even cuts down the trees that need to come down all on his lonesome. He makes $50,000 to $100,000 a show and seems to go through it like a house on fire, but he...

He makes $50,000 to $100,000 a show and seems to go through it like a house on fire, but he does have many key investments and endorsement deals keeping that dough flowing in.
We’ll talk about his alleged $1M strip club birthday bash, jewelry collection from Johnny Dang, and how his Rolls-Royce got bullet holes in it. And lest ye not forget his $600,000 shopping spree.
