✨ WHY I'M HERE
I created this channel many years ago to share my health journey. Videos have come and gone as I've searched for answers over the years. But after switching to an ancestrally appropriate, meat-based diet, I finally feel like I've found something worth sharing. I'm not a doctor or a nutritionist. I'm not telling you what to do or what to eat. I'm simply sharing what I'm doing and my results for those who might be interested in a carnivore sty...

All about the small intestine
The structure and function of the small intestines. This coiled organ which is part of the digestive system is found roughly behind your belly button.
How large is the small intestine? About 22 or 23 feet long.
The intestines are divided into 3 parts. The duodenum, the jejunum, and the ileum
The small intestines also contain hairlike projections called villi that help absorb nutrients

Lyrics:
I am your Small Intestine
come journey with me
part of your
digestive system
in your tummy I will be
I am a
The 20-foot long hollow tube you see
I absorb all of the nutrients
that you will need
From your Pyloric Sphincter
Your Chyme enters me
Into my Duodenum
It’s my first part of three
Your Duodenums job
is a critical one
It gets your partially digested food
ready for absorption
Your Liver, Pancreas
and your Gallbladder
Secrete the chemicals that mix
with your chyme matter
Preparing your chyme
to be passed to your Jejunum
This is where your small intestine starts
the absorption
I am your Small Intestine
come journey with me
part of your
digestive system
in your tummy I be
I am a
The 20-foot long hollow tube you see
I absorb all of the nutrients
that you will need
Now your Jejunum
Is your second Segment
That's where most of your food's nutrients
is absorbed in its decent
After your Jejunum
gets the nutrients it needs
The chyme is passed to the Ileum
Which concludes the parts of three
The Ileum absorbs
the remaining nutrients
Before beginning the journey
into your Large Intestine
I am your Small Intestine
come journey with me
part of your
digestive system
in your tummy I be
I am a
The 20-foot long hollow tube you see
I absorb all of the nutrients

I created this channel many years ago to share my health journey. Videos have come and gone as I've searched for answers over the years. But after switching to an ancestrally appropriate, meat-based diet, I finally feel like I've found something worth sharing. I'm not a doctor or a nutritionist. I'm not telling you what to do or what to eat. I'm simply sharing what I'm doing and my results for those who might be interested in a carnivore style diet.

Circulatory System And The Heart | Explained In Simple Words
The circulatory system is a vast, complex network of blood vessels that serve as highways for transporting blood which contains life-sustaining molecules, such as nutrients, gasses, hormones and waste products, to the various organs of the body. The heart, also a part of the circulatory system, acts as a pump that pushes the blood with great force through the entire body and back.

The Circulatory System Part 1: The Heart
The heart! What a symbol of love and affection. But does emotional processing really take place in the heart? Sorry romantics, but no. That's the brain's business. But the heart is still miraculous. It is a completely natural pump whose responsibility it is to circulate blood all over the body to give all the cells the oxygen they need to perform cellular respiration, as well as transporting nutrients and hormones. Let's see how the heart works now!

Circulatory System for Kids | Learn all about how blood travels through the body
Did you know that the circulatory system in your body stretches for more than 60,000 miles? In this video for kids, you will learn that this is the most important system in our bodies. It is responsible for bringing blood, nutrients, and oxygen to all parts of the body, as well as for healing wounds. You can see why this is such an important process!
There are two parts that make up the circulatory system: the heart and blood vessels. Blood vessels include arteries, veins, and capillaries. The heart has four chambers total—two ventricles and two atria. The left and right ventricles of the heart are located at the bottom. These chambers pump blood out of the heart. The left and right atria at the top of the heart receive blood into the heart. Every time your heart beats, these four chamber...

The Circulatory System
Paul Andersen surveys the circulatory system in humans. He begins with a short discussion of open and closed circulatory systems and 2,3, and 4-chambered hearts. He describes the movement of blood through the human heart and the blood vessels. He discusses the major components of blood and the cause of a heart attack.

The cardiovascular system consists of the heart, blood, and blood vessels. The best-known function of the circulatory system is perhaps the transport of inhaled oxygen from the lungs to body’s tissues, and removal of carbon dioxide in the opposite direction to be exhaled. Basically, oxygen-poor blood from the body returns to the right side of the heart, where it is pumped to the lungs. In the lungs, blood picks up oxygen and releases carbon dioxide. Oxygen-rich blood then returns to the left side of the heart. This part of the system is called the pulmonary circuit. The left side of the heart pumps oxygen-rich blood to body’s tissues, where it unloads oxygen and picks up carbon dioxide. The resulting deoxygenated blood again returns to the heart’s right side to complete the cycle. This part is the systemic circuit.
The heart is enclosed in a double-walled protective sac called the pericardium. The pericardial cavity contains a fluid which serves as lubricant and allows the heart to contract and relax with minimum friction. The heart wall has 3 layers: epicardium, endocardium, and myocardium.
The contraction of the heart muscle is initiated by electrical impulses, known as action potentials. The impulses start from a small group of cells called the pacemaker cells, which constitute the cardiac conduction system. The primary pacemaker is the SA node, it initiates all heartbeats and controls heart rate. Apart from transporting gases, the blood also supplies body’s tissues with nutrients and removes metabolic wastes. It receives nutrients from the digestive system, wastes are filtered from the blood in the kidneys and removed in urine.
The blood also carries hormones from endocrine glands to target organs, and plays an important role in the body’s immune defense.
The blood has two main components: a clear extracellular fluid called plasma, and the so-called formed elements which include red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets. Arteries and veins essentially serve to conduct blood, their walls consist of 3 layers: loose connective tissue, a middle layer of mostly smooth muscles, and an inner layer consisted of thin squamous endothelium.
In general, larger vessels have more connective tissue and smooth muscle. In addition, arteries have more muscles than veins because they carry blood away from the heart and must withstand higher pressures generated by the beating of the heart.
The walls of capillaries, whose function is to exchange substances between the blood and surrounding tissue, consist solely of a thin endothelium with its basement membrane, thus permitting easy diffusion of blood solutes.

The main function of the circulatory system is to carry, through the blood, the nutrients to the cells of our body. It is formed by the heart, arteries and veins and its proper functioning is essential for us to have good health. I have a curiosity Do you know how much all the artery and veins would measure together, put in single file? They would measure 97,000 kilometres, which would be equivalent to almost two and a half laps to Earth, it's incredible, right?
The heart has the main role in making sure that the blood travels around the body. With its one hundred thousand pulsations per day it ensures that blood circulates throughout our body allowing it to distribute oxygen and nutrients into our cells.
We are going to start a journey through the circulatory system so we can understand it much better.
The journey of blood begins in the heart. With the pulsations of the heart the blood comes out through one of the great highways of the circulatory system called the Aorta.
From that moment, the blood flows through our body through many veins. It reaches the neck, head and brain through one side. From there, the blood continues to flow into our arms then through the aorta, around the thorax and abdomen and finally reaching both of our legs.
During this trip, the blood is delivering oxygen and nutrients to the cells through the capillary veins.
As this trip is circular, that is to say it has no end, the blood starts the trip back to the heart to regain nutrients and oxygen.

Every time your heart beats, these four chambers are doing their job!
The other part is the collection of blood vessels. Arteries carry blood away from the heart, veins carry blood to the heart, and capillaries connect arteries and veins. Because blood contains the nutrients and oxygen we need, our blood vessels are responsible for getting those important things to all parts of the body.
As you now know, blood contains several important things. Besides nutrients and oxygen, blood also carries plasma, which is a yellowish liquid. This liquid is responsible for carrying proteins, nutrients, and hormones to the rest of the body. It is made of mostly water that comes from the food and water we consume. Plasma also carries away waste from the cells.
We hope you and your student(s) enjoyed learning about these four different landforms! If you want to learn even more, head over to our website and download one of our many free lesson plans about landforms, full of activities, worksheets, and more!
