In chess, the player who moves first is referred to as "White" and the player who moves second is referred to as "Black". Similarly, the pieces that each conducts are called, respectively, "the white pieces" and "the black pieces". The pieces are often not literally white and black, but some other colors (usually a light color and a dark color, respectively). The 64 squares of the chessboard, which is colored in a checkered pattern, are likewise referred to as "white squares" or "light squares" on the one hand, and "black squares" or "dark squares" on the other. In most cases, the squares are not actually white and black, but a light color and a contrasting dark color. For example, the squares on plastic boards are often off-white ("buff") and green, while those on wood boards are often light brown and dark brown.
In old chess writings, the sides are often called Red and Black, because those were the two colors of ink then commonly available when hand-drawing or printing chess position diagrams.
Black is Lita Ford's sixth studio album and featured a change of style in her music, compared to her other albums. Black sees Ford move into other musical styles such as blues and grunge, while still maintaining her metal and rock roots. There would be a 14-year gap between Black and her next studio album, 2009's Wicked Wonderland.
Track listing
All songs were written by Michael Dan Ehmig and Lita Ford, except where noted.
The Egyptian hieroglyph for "black" in Gardiner's sign list is numbered I6. Its phonetic value is km. The Wörterbuch der Aegyptischen Sprache-(Dictionary of the Egyptian Language) lists no less than 24 different terms of km indicating 'black' such as black stone, metal, wood, hair, eyes, and animals.
The most common explanation for the hieroglyph is under the Gardiner's Sign List, section I for "amphibious animals, reptiles, etc" is a crocodile skin with spines. Rossini and Schumann-Antelme propose that the crocodile skin hieroglyph actually shows claws coming out of the hide.
Besides 'black', the alternate use of the hieroglyph is for items terminating, coming-to-an-end, items of completion, hence a reference to charcoal, burning to its ending.
km.t
In the Demotic (Egyptian) text of the Rosetta Stone, the demotic for Egypt is 'Kmi' . There are three uses of the actual Kmi, but 7 others referenced as Kmi refer to iAt in the hieroglyphs. Other euphemistic references to Egypt in the Rosetta Stone include "Ta-Mer-t", which has the meaning of the 'full/fruitful/cultivated land', hr-tAwy, the 'lands of Horus', and tAwy, the "Two Lands."
Spirit is the second studio album by singer/songwriterJewel, released in 1998 by Atlantic. Singles include "Hands", "Down So Long," and a newly recorded version of "Jupiter," followed by a remix of "What's Simple Is True" to promote Jewel's debut film Ride with the Devil. In addition, a one track CD containing a live version of "Life Uncommon" was released to music stores in hopes to raise money and awareness for Habitat for Humanity.
Spirit debuted at number 3 on the Billboard 200 with 368,000 copies sold in its first week. It eventually sold 3.7 million units in the U.S.
The Pokémon(ポケモン,Pokemon) franchise has 721 (as of the release of Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire) distinctive fictional species classified as the titular Pokémon. This is a selected listing of 50 of the Pokémon species, originally found in the Red and Green versions, arranged as they are in the main game series' National Pokédex.
Meowth
Meowth(ニャース,Nyāsu, Nyarth), known as the ScratchCat Pokémon, has a distinctly feline appearance, resembling a small housecat. It has cream-colored fur, which turns brown at its paws and tail tip. Its oval-shaped head features prominent whiskers, black-and-brown ears, and a koban, a gold oval coin (also known as "charm") embedded in its forehead. Meowth are valued for their ability to collect coins using their signature move, "Pay Day", as it is the only Pokémon that learns it. Meowth's coloration, its love of coins, and its charm indicate that Meowth is based on the Japanese Maneki Neko, a cat-shaped figurine that is said to bring good luck and money to its owner. Aspects of Meowth were drawn from a Japanese myth dealing with the true value of money, in which a cat has money on its head but does not realize it.

🔹 Deadly Chess TRAP to Win in 8 Moves! [Tricky Gambit Opening] - https://youtu.be/WXHpvsxdkFg
In this video lesson, GM Igor Smirnov teaches you a universal chess opening that you can play both as White and as Black.
It is an aggressive gambit that often gives you quick wins right out of the opening. This opening variation is filled with a lot of deadly tricks and traps that most of your opponents will fall for.
As Black, it happens when your opponents play 1.d4 as White, and you respond with 1...e5 (Englund Gambit) and then follow up with 2.dxe5 d6 3.exd6 Bxd6.
And as White, you can play this gambit in multiple ways. First, you may play 1.d3 and then 2.e4. If that's too passive for you, you may start with 1.Nc3 and then play this tricky opening. Best of all, this opening variation also transposes from the Scandinavian Defense when you start with 1.e4 d5 2.d3 with a similar idea.

White pieces vs. black pieces
has been a popular
debate among
chess lovers.
It is a difficult
topic indeed . .
However, I think
I have the answer
for this
exact question.
It is not as
clear and dry
as you think.
First let's talk about
the advantages of
the white pieces.
Basically why you
may want it.
First off space, the one
wielding the white
pieces are more likely to gain
more space in the opening.
Space gives more chances for attacks and tactics to flourish. If you are an aggressive player then white might be best for you.
Next are objectives,
if you are white you
are more likely to
achieve the objective
faster in the opening.
This can be pretty valuable.
Piece development, castling,
pawn pushes, etc. are some of these
objectives. If played correctly, the one with
the white pieces
will naturally achieve these first.
Then there are traps . . .The one with the white pieces
have more traps
in their disposal.
If you haven't noticed yet,
lines created by white
are more likely to have
more traps than black.
This is because
of tempo . .
White moves first
before black, meaning
more opportunities
for traps
since the
pieces are
more active.
If you are
looking for fun
with traps,
then white is for you.
Lastly, white is better
for aggressive plays.

The True Story of Ancient Egyptians Shipwrecked On Australia 5000 Years Ago
#egyptianhieroglyphsinaustralia #egyptiansinaustralia #ancientegyptiansinaustralia
Ancient Egyptian Hieroglyphs Found In Australia tell a fascinating story of the son of a pharaoh, who tragically died several weeks after being shipwrecked on the coast of New South Wales, while out on an expedition to find new lands to mine for gold. The Egyptians that accompanied him, tell the tale of his fascinating voyage across oceans, and the final days of his life in well hidden hieroglyphics found over five thousand years later carved into a limestone rock hidden deep in a forest in New South Wales, Australia. The hieroglyphs detail his burial in the land of Australia. This occurred during the time the Ancient Pyramid of Giza was supposedly being built, when Egyptians were exploring the entire world...

From Hatshepsut to Nefertiti to a Coptic Abuna, meet the many forms of the long-lived Egyptian language. Watch as they help us listen back to the original sounds of the hieroglyphs. Then, identify a family full of Egyptian's ancestors and relatives, refine those pronunciations and arrive at an outline of Egyptian pronunciation.

The hieroglyphs detail his burial in the land of Australia. This occurred during the time the Ancient Pyramid of Giza was supposedly being built, when Egyptians were exploring the entire world and, amazingly, this isn't the first time Ancient Egyptians landed on the shores of Australia. The Australian Aboriginals themselves speak of stories detailing the coming of these foreigners, as well as their intermingling with Indigenous Australians, which was friendly and trade took place as a result. Australian Aboriginals also speak of what prior voyages took back with them to Egypt. And it is thought that the few Pharaohs who were found buried with boomerangs got these items directly from trade with the Australian Aboriginals.

Carreras Cigarette Factory means a lot to me. My academic career as an Egyptian archeology PhD starts from Camden Town and almost every morning, I walked pass the Factory to UCL for classes or, later on, research. In the very first time I saw this building, I recognized these hieroglyphic signs and imagined one day, I might tell everyone these trivia. And today is the day.

Transcript:
White pieces vs. black pieces
has been a popular
debate among
chess lovers.
It is a difficult
topic indeed . .
However, I think
I have the answer
for this
exact question.
It is not as
clear and dry
as you think.
First let's talk about
the advantages of
the white pieces.
Basically why you
may want it.
First off space, the one
wielding the white
pieces are more likely to gain
more space in the opening.
Space gives more chances for attacks and tactics to flourish. If you are an aggressive player then white might be best for you.
Next are objectives,
if you are white you
are more likely to
achieve the objective
faster in the opening.
This can be pretty valuable.
Piece development, castling,
pawn pushes, etc. are some of these
objectives. If played correctly, the one with
the white pieces
will naturally achieve these first.
Then there are traps . . .The one with the white pieces
have more traps
in their disposal.
If you haven't noticed yet,
lines created by white
are more likely to have
more traps than black.
This is because
of tempo . .
White moves first
before black, meaning
more opportunities
for traps
since the
pieces are
more active.
If you are
looking for fun
with traps,
then white is for you.
Lastly, white is better
for aggressive plays.
In this video, you learn about one of the chess tricks to win fast in a chess game. This wild opening chess trap known as Blackburne Shilling Gambit is played with black pieces.
This is a very tricky trap and you can fool your opponent using this especially when you play blitz or bullet in chesscom/lichess. Play it at your own risk in chess competitions when playing classical chess.

Hello everyone and thanks for watching!
It is such a surprise that many of you subscribe this new and small channel! Your comments and discussions are truly motivating and encouraging.
I cannot thank you more for your supports and watchings.
And here it is, after being delayed by works and job huntings for weeks, the part 2 of the Hieroglyph in London series.
For those audiences looking for hieroglyphic sentences from this building, I am afraid this video is going to disappoint you, because you can only find hieroglyphic signs from Carreras Cigarette Factory. But for those who love hieroglyph and also a big fan of Camden Town and Mornington Crescent, this could be a must see video.
