The Black Hawk is a planned Amtrakintercity rail route which will ultimately run from Chicago, Illinois, to Dubuque, Iowa via Rockford, Illinois. Service from Chicago to Rockford was expected to begin in 2015, but the start of the service was put on hold by Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner. Service to Dubuque was to open at a later date. Once train service begins, the new service will operate under the Illinois Service umbrella.
Prior to Amtrak the Illinois Central Railroad operated the Land O'Corn between Chicago and Waterloo, Iowa, discontinuing it in 1967. The first Black Hawk began running on February 14, 1974, using Budd Companyrail diesel cars. Conventional diesel locomotives and coaches replaced the RDCs after February 2, 1976. Equipment varied, including ex-Chicago & North Westerngallery cars, dome cars, boat-tailed observation cars, full diners, lunch counter diners and ex-ATSF Hi-Level Coaches. Further, power for the Black Hawk also varied on a regular basis with GE P30CHs, EMD SDP40Fs, EMD F40PHs and the occasional Illinois Central Gulf "Geep" filling in for ailing power (an ICG EMD GP10 towed the last RDC consist into Chicago in 1976). Amfleet coaches arrived in November 1976. Service ended on September 30, 1981, after Illinois reduced its appropriations for passenger service.
Black Hawk, born Ma-ka-tai-me-she-kia-kiak, (1767– October 3, 1838) was a war leader and warrior of the SaukAmerican Indian tribe in what is now the Midwest of the United States. Although he had inherited an important historic medicine bundle from his father, he was not a hereditary civil chief. Black Hawk earned his status as a war chief or captain by his actions: leading raiding and war parties as a young man, and a band of Sauk warriors during the Black Hawk War of 1832.
During the War of 1812, Black Hawk had fought on the side of the British against the U.S., hoping to push white American settlers away from Sauk territory. Later he led a band of Sauk and Fox warriors, known as the British Band, against European-American settlers in Illinois and present-day Wisconsin in the 1832 Black Hawk War. After the war, he was captured by U.S. forces and taken to the eastern U.S. He and other war leaders were taken on tour of several cities.
Shortly before being released from custody, Black Hawk told his story to an interpreter; aided also by a newspaper reporter, he published Autobiography of Ma-Ka-Tai-Me-She-Kia-Kiak, or Black Hawk, Embracing the Traditions of his Nation... in 1833 in Cincinnati, Ohio. The first Native American autobiography to be published in the U.S., his book became an immediate bestseller and has gone through several editions. Black Hawk died in 1838 (at age 70 or 71) in what is now southeastern Iowa. He has been honored by an enduring legacy: his book, many eponyms, and other tributes.
With a darkly humorous touch and no deference to political correctness, NoBody's Perfect the film begins with the extraordinary reactions of the 12 participants towards the project itself, and subsequently explores the specific problems which they faced during childhood, adolescence through to adulthood.
During production, von Glasow attempted, unsuccessfully, to make contact with the chemical company Gruenenthal, who produced the drug Thalidomide.
Aftermath
Following the release and German Film Award in 2009, Niko went on to meet with various politicians and journalists. An effective campaign resulted in the German government's decision to raise monthly compensation (which could amount to over €2.5billion over the next 30 years) for the victims, many of whom continue to struggle in coping with their condition.

📼Video Summary:
The Pave Hawk is a modified Black Hawk helicopter owned and operated by the United States Air Force. It's meant for combat search and rescue. It usually has a crew of 4: pilot, co-pilot, and 2 Special Missions Aviators. Main parts of the helicopter include rotors, fuselage, cockpit, cabin, tail, stabilator, and the tail rotors at the very end. Refueling the helicopter can done in the air by using the re-fueling probe on the front right side. The there are two guns on the side - it's called a GAU 2 Mini gun. The helicopter is powered by two Turboshaft Engines and the Auxiliary Power Unit (APU). Moving the helicopter is done with the controls inside of the helicopter: the Collective, the Cyclic and the Tail Rotor pedals. The Pave can also be folded up and fit inside of a larger plane for transportation.

US Black Hawk vs Russia's MI-24 - which Gunship helicopter is better?
The Blackhawk and MI-24 are two of that rare class of helicopters, which have tanks-like firepower and the ability to transport troops in a warzone. If you have to pick one to go into battle, which would you go with? … Named after the Native American war leader Blackhawk, the helicopter is a workhorse of the sky. Around 4,000 units have been built so far. Operated by 2 pilots and 2 gunners, the gunship can carry 3,190lb of cargo internally, including 11 troops or 6 stretchers, or it can lift 10,000lb of payload externally. On the other hand, the MI-24 is a well-armed, exceptionally fast, and well-armored gunship helicopter. It is used extensively for attacking and transporting troops. In the 80s, it was so feared in Afghanistan that it was nicknamed "The Devil's Chariot”. While the soviet pilots called it "The flying tank". It was first rolled out in 1972 and primarily used by the Russian army. Its export variant MI-35 is also being operated by 58 countries. Around 2,648 units were built so far. Operated by a crew of 3, can carry 8 troops or 4 stretchers or can lift 5,300lb of cargo on an external sling. The Blackhawk is powered by twin turbo-shaft engines generating 2,820kw of power. These engines can lift the chopper with a maximum weight of 22,000lb. The helicopter can reach a top speed of 183mph. With a ferry range of 1,380mi, the gunship can combat within a radius of 370mi. The Blackhawk can climb at a rate of 1,646 ft/min and can reach a maximum altitude of 19,000ft. Similarly, the MI-24 is powered by 2 turbo-shaft engines capable of producing 3,200kW of power. With the help of these engines, the hind can take off with a maximum weight of 26,450lb. The helicopter can attain a top speed of 208mph. The ferry range reaches out to 620mi with a combat radius of 286mi. The climb rate is around 2,460 ft/min and can reach its maximum service ceiling of 16,000ft. The Blackhawk is adaptable to various different roles. The helicopter can be configured with 4 external weapon hardpoints and forward-facing 360-degree machine guns. These hardpoints are capable to carry 10,000lb payload of missiles, rockets, cannons, and electronic countermeasures pods. It is armed with two 7.62mm machine guns and 2 mini-guns or alternatively two 12.7mm gatling guns can be mounted. The Blackhawk can fire 16 laser-guided hellfire missiles, which can hit its target with blistering speed of 7mph or it can carry air-to-air stinger missiles. The hellfire rails can also carry 70 hydra rockets. On the other side, the MI-24 is outfitted with 6 weapon stations. The chopper is armed with wide array of air-to-air and air-to-ground missiles and rockets. The weapons payload is dependent on mission type. The helicopter is armed with 4 barreled 12.7mm machine gun with a firing rate of 5,000 rounds/min. The hind can also be configured to carry a twin-barreled 30mm machine gun. The helo is armed with 12 short range anti-tank missiles, which can destroy 650mm thick armor from the distance of 3mi. So, what do you think that which gunship helicopter is better? Blackhawk or MI-24? Let us know in the comments section. Also, be sure to check out our other military videos. Thanks for watching and as always don’t forget to like, share and subscribe.

Helmet cam cockpit footage from the pilot of an Colombian Black Hawk helicopter shows the Pilot taking an enemy rifle round through the windshield of the chopper mid-air during an extraction somewhere in the jungle of Guaviare.
Luckily the pilot was saved by the windshield.
In the footage you can see how the pilot quickly maneuvers out of the line of fire and begins checking himself for injuries after the shot hit the windshield of the helicopter mid-air.
The combat operation in this video was conducted on FARC territory.

It is used for a variety of missions including search & rescue, transport, medical evacuation, and attack missions. It was introduced in 1979 as a replacement for Bell-UH1.
