This journal covers all topics related to biology. More detail about the journal and its scope is available in the first editorial. Research fields of interest include, but are not limited to:
Benjamin Lewin founded Cell in January 1974, under the aegis of MIT Press. He then bought the title and established an independent Cell Press in 1986. In April 1999, Lewin sold Cell Press to Elsevier.
The "Article of the Future" feature was the recipient of a 2011 PROSE Award for Excellence in Biological & Life Sciences presented by the Professional and Scholarly Publishing Division of the Association of American Publishers.
Impact factor
According to ScienceWatch, the journal was ranked first overall in the category of highest-impact journals (all fields) over 1995–2005 with an average of 161.2 citations per paper. According to the Journal Citation Reports, the journal has a 2014 impact factor of 32.242, ranking it first out of 289 journals in "Biochemistry & Molecular Biology".
Shot in the stomach by the cops, Cell sat in the back seat of a car bleeding, while his fellow gang members tried to drive away. The cops shot the driver, and the car swerved out of control. Cell made his way out of the wreck, but his physiology was changed. The cops opened fire on him, but he survived, and drained into the sewers. The Postman's Morlocks stood in front of him, then defeated the cops, offering him a chance to join the group, which he accepts.
While down in the sewers, he has to break up a fight between Angel Dust and Electric Eve along with Shatter. However, the two aren't very effective and Cell is splattered against a wall, but is undamaged.
The group then started fulfilling wishes and first on the list was Shatter, who wanted to liberate his best friend. Cell accompanied the Morlocks as they rescued Shatter's dog, Hank, from the pound, then followed as they went to make Electric Eve's "wish" come true, unaware that wish was murder. They arrived to find Electric Eve having fried her ex-pimp. Postman and Eve argued about what she had done—making the rest of the Morlocks an accessory to murder. Eve retorted that Postman had put no limitations on what the wishes should be, Trader confessing that he wished to murder his co-worker who had "outed" him as a mutant and got him fired. However the argument was short-lived as the Sentinels arrived, blasting Shatter's arm off.
The boundary of the 120-cell is composed of 120 dodecahedral cells with 4 meeting at each vertex.
It can be thought of as the 4-dimensional analog of the dodecahedron and has been called a dodecaplex (short for "dodecahedral complex"), hyperdodecahedron, polydodecahedron. Just as a dodecahedron can be built up as a model with 12 pentagons, 3 around each vertex, the dodecaplex can be built up from 120 dodecahedra, with 3 around each edge.
The Davis 120-cell, introduced by Davis (1985), is a compact 4-dimensional hyperbolic manifold obtained by identifying opposite faces of the 120-cell, whose universal cover gives the regular honeycomb{5,3,3,5} of 4-dimensional hyperbolic space.
Elements
There are 120 cells, 720 pentagonal faces, 1200 edges, and 600 vertices.
There are 4 dodecahedra, 6 pentagons, and 4 edges meeting at every vertex.
Intro (in Macedonian: Интро) is the debut album by the Macedonian male group Bravo Band. The album was released in October 2008 and it contains nine songs which are different by style.
Production history
The first single released from the album was "Lesno Ti E Tebe" ("It's easy for you") in 2006. With that song the band first promoted their self as a music group on the Macedonian festival Ohrid Fest. The song is work of Jovan Jovanov and Elvir Mekic which made their second single too called "Ne Bih Te Menjao" ("I wouldn't change you"). "Ne Bih Te Menjao" is a Serbian language song and it was the band's entry for Suncane Skale 2007. With this song they finished third in the first night with 63 points. The video for the song "Neka Patam" made by Dejan Milicevic was selected for best Macedonian video of 2008. In October all since then present songs they released on an album. The album is called Intro mainly for two reasons. The first one is the word intro which comes from the English word "introduction". It is just a metaphor for what they present in it, an introduction of their emotions which are in one way or another expressed in every song.
Quick was a German-language weekly illustrated news magazine published from 25 April 1948 to 27 August 1992 in Hamburg, Germany.
History and profile
Quick was the first magazine published in Germany after the Second World War. The magazine was first published on 25 April 1948 and had an initial print run of 110,000 copies. It had its headquarters in Hamburg. The magazine was launched by the Bauer Media Group and was published on a weekly basis.
Traudl Junge, Adolf Hitler's secretary, for many years worked as a secretary for the chief editorial staff of Quick.
At one time one of the most important magazines in its class, it reached a peak circulation of 1.7 million copies in 1960. As attitudes towards sex changed, the magazine tried to adapt, including more coverage of sex and crime in the 1980s. This was not a success; advertising revenue fell by 50% and circulation to 700,000 between 1990 and the closing of the magazine in 1992. It ceased publication on 27 August 1992.
Quick is a defunct Dallas-Fort Worth area free weekly newspaper published from 2003 to 2011. As the name implies, it was delivered in a quick-to-read format: a tabloid ranging in page count from 20 to 40. It was available free each week on Thursdays from street teams and courtesy news racks at Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) rail stations, office buildings, and other busy locations throughout the Dallas area.
Initially, Quick was a free daily paper that contained "quick hits" Of the daily top news stories, weather and sports. However, after declining readership and distribution issues began to plague the paper, it switched to a once a week format that highlighted entertainment and lifestyle offerings in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex such as music, movies and local dining aimed at the 18 to 40 age demographic. It was considered a direct competitor of another local entertainment/lifestyle guide, the Dallas Observer.
Dallas Morning News officials announced on July 27, 2011, that Quick would cease publication with its August 4, 2011, issue. The publisher said it ended publication because the eight-year venture was ultimately unprofitable. Nine employees, including two part-timers, were laid off as a result.

Biology journal retracts 107 Chinese papers over fake peer-reviews
A major international publication, Springer Nature, has retracted 107 papers after discovering they had been accepted with fake peer reviews. All 524 authors involved are from China. The news has rattled the country's scientific community, and critics say academic dishonesty has been rampant due to a lack of serious punishment. While others argue that the publishers should also bear part of the responsibilities. After the news broke, Chinese newspaper The People's Daily commented, "Defending truth is defending the life of science." For more insight, Liu Xin is joined by Dr. Yan Shuai, Director of Journal Publishing at Tsinghua University Press.

Dragons cast a large shadow over the mythologies of the world. Few legendary monsters can compare to these gigantic beasts. But what if dragons cast… a slightly smaller shadow?
What if some dragons weren’t huge monsters, but strange and secretive creatures evolved to live hidden lives in the shadows and margins of the world? The amazing artist and writer Andy Frazer imagines a world where dragons are all around us, from the highest mountains to the deepest forest. Concentrated primarily in the author’s homeland of Wales, these smaller dragons — or ‘Microdragons’ as I call them – make up for their reduced size with their incredible diversity and ingenious survival strategies. The author has released many field guides on these tiny wonders that explore their evolution, anatomy, behavior, and habitats in great detail.
So, for this entry into the archive, I’ll assume the role of a naturalist and observe some of these creatures out in the field…
