A greatest hits album, sometimes called a "best of" album or a catalog album, is a compilation of songs by a particular artist or band. Most often the track list contains previously released recordings with a high degree of notability. However, to increase the appeal, especially to people who already own the original release, it is common to include remixes and/or alternate takes of popular songs; even new material (previously unreleased). At times a greatest hits compilation is the original release for songs that have themselves been released as a single and charted successfully.
The Best (aka The Best of t.A.T.u., t.A.T.u. The Best) is a CD/ set from the Russian group t.A.T.u. featuring hit singles, rare mixes, three previously unreleased tracks, a live concert, music videos and more. There are two versions of the set, one with only a CD, and another with a CD and a DVD (sometimes referred to as the "Deluxe Edition"). In Korea, the Deluxe Edition came with a poster. In the U.S., only the CD version was sold, and only in Best Buy stores. However, for U.S. online retailers, it was available, and for some by import from Korea.
The Best was t.A.T.u.'s final release with the Universal Music Group label. Previously they went through Universal International.
Release
The set was released on September 4, 2006 in Korea and Brazil, September 11 in Europe, September 27 in Japan, September 29 in Germany and October 10 in the U.S. It was later releases on the iTunes Store on November 7. There were different releases of the album, including a cassette, compact disc, DVD and Vinyl.

Clawfinger was a rock band from Sweden. Clawfinger is known for aggressive but melodic music and tackling political and anti-racist themes in their songs.
Band history
The band's origin dates back to the summer of 1988, when Zak Tell and Jocke Skog met while working together at Rosenlund Hospital in Stockholm. In 1990, they were joined by the Norwegian guitarists Bård Torstensen and Erlend Ottem who were also working at the hospital. The four soon realized their similar interests in music. Bård and Erlend played previously in a band called Theo in their hometown Arendal in Norway. They invested their free time exploring the musical world, composing and writing songs while eventually evolving into a band.
Their original demo comprising three tracks ("Waste of Time", "Nigger" and "Profit Preacher") quickly secured local radio airplay for them and consequently brought them to the attention of the music label MVG Records. "Nigger" is an anti-racism statement that caused quite a stir and was a massive success; it was also released as a single. By the beginning of the 1990s, Clawfinger self-released their debut Deaf Dumb Blind. This sold in over 600,000 copies worldwide and was critically acclaimed by the Swedish press. With the addition of André Skaug and drummer Morten Skaug, Clawfinger went on tour and played at European festivals, including opening for Anthrax and Alice in Chains.
The Allmusic review by Mark Deming gave the album 3½ start stating: "Robert Earl Keen is an archetypal Texas singer/songwriter, someone who can mine both laughter and tragedy from life along the dusty margins of life in the Lone Star State... a comprehensive and well-programmed compilation offering a fully rounded introduction to his music would be more than welcome. However, 2007's Best isn't quite that album... If you're looking for a concise, career-spanning overview of Robert Earl Keen's long career in music, Best isn't as much help as you might wish, but the consistent quality is a sure convincer."
Best! is a greatest hits compilation by the 1990s pop band Jellyfish. The album was released in 2006 and featured twenty tracks. Eight of the tracks were non-album while the other twelve consisted of songs pulled from the band's two (and only) albums, Bellybutton and Spilt Milk. The song "Ignorance is Bliss" was taken from a Nintendo games compilation entitled "Nintendo: White Knuckle Scorin'" and is inspired by the video game Super Mario World. The song "No Matter What" is a live cover of a Badfinger song.

Nobody is perfect but I'm pretty fucking close and I'm here to give you all a heavy heavenly dose I think you'd better listen 'cos I know who you are and I think that you should treat me like a superstar because I'm more than just a human I'm a gift to all of you and I'm here to make sure that my message gets through I wonder if you're really all as dumb as you look or are you smart enough to learn the rules in my book I hope you understand that the knowledge I bring puts me in the position of a god or a king 'cos I'm blessed with the gift of the magic touch and I wouldn't say that I'm asking for to much all you have to do is get down on your knees and pray and I promise you the remedy is on its way but you can never be like me so don't waste your time because I reign supreme and my position is divine What's wrong with being self possessed? Nobody's satisfied with being second best I've got the gift and I know that I'm blessed and I've got to get it off my chest I'm the biggest the best better than the rest, better than the rest X I'm not afraid of competition 'cos I know that I'm the best and you haven't got a chance to even pass my little test Even if you wanted to you couldn't pay the price there ain't no room for losers in my perfect paradise 'cos life is always based upon the weight of your success so I'll make sure that I get the most and nothing less If I love myself then everyone will love me to and there's nothing you can do for me that I can't do Chorus So welcome to my kingdom and enjoy your little stay Even if you can't afford it I'll still make you pay so you'd better come and get it and enjoy it while you can don't tell me that you're dumb enough to think I give a damn I couldn't care less about what you achieve and there's only one thing that you have to believe the only thing important that you have to understand is that no matter what you say it's still a god I really am
