Beaver Valley (formerly known as Chandler’s Hollow) straddles the Pennsylvania and Delaware border in Delaware County, PA and New Castle County, DE. An unincorporated place name, it is traversed by several streams which drain to Beaver Run which itself empties into the Brandywine River. It is approximately bounded by US Route 202 to the east, The Brandywine River to the west, Thompsons Bridge Road to the south, and Smithbridge Road to the north, with Beaver Valley Road encircling a large portion of the valley. The majority of the lands in Beaver Valley have been owned for decades by The Woodlawn Trustees, which designated in the early 1970s all of its Brandywine Hundred and Delaware County holdings in Beaver Valley and elsewhere as a Wildlife Refuge. In 2012, The Woodlawn Trustees submitted development plans to Concord Township Supervisors in Delaware County for the purpose of constructing approximately 500 housing units and a 225,000 square foot national retail store, all of which would adjoin the First State National Historical Park in Chadds Ford Township, Delaware County, Pennsylvania and New Castle County, Delaware. The original plans were withdrawn, but the developers – Frank McKee and the Julian brothers, Richard and Frank – came back with new plans entitled "Vineyard Commons" which called for 171 houses spread across approximately 150 acres.
Delaware is in the northeastern portion of the Delmarva Peninsula and is the second smallest, the sixth least populous, but the sixth most densely populated of the 50 United States. Delaware is divided into three counties, the lowest number of counties of any state. From north to south, the three counties are New Castle, Kent, and Sussex. While the southern two counties have historically been predominantly agricultural, New Castle County has been more industrialized.
Before its coastline was explored by Europeans in the 16th century, Delaware was inhabited by several groups of Native Americans, including the Lenape in the north and Nanticoke in the south. It was initially colonized by Dutch traders at Zwaanendael, near the present town of Lewes, in 1631. Delaware was one of the 13 colonies participating in the American Revolution and on December7, 1787, became the first state to ratify the Constitution of the United States, thereby becoming known as The First State.
Delaware wine refers to wine made from grapes grown in the U.S. state of Delaware. Historically, the first Swedish settlers planted grapes and made wine in Delaware as early as 1638.
Delaware has five wineries that each have limited production, the fewest of any state in the United States. The largest winery is Nassau Valley Vineyards, which makes fruit wines in addition to grape wines. Two others are Pizzadili, a small, family business which opened in 2007 and Harvest Ridge Winery, which opened in 2013.
The hit version of the song was recorded by Perry Como on December 28, 1959. It was released by RCA Victor Records as a 45rpm single with catalog number 47-7670 and as a stereophonic 45rpm single with catalog number 61-7670. The flip side was "I Know What God Is". The record reached #22 on the Billboard charts in March 1960.
The same recording, with the same B-side, was released by RCA in the United Kingdom (catalog number 1170) where, oddly, it did even better there than in the U.S., reaching #3 on the UK Singles Chart.
Pennsylvania wine refers to wine made from grapes grown in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. The climate in Pennsylvania is mild compared to surrounding states, with the moderating effects of Lake Erie to the north and the Atlantic Ocean to the east. 119 wineries are located in all parts of the state, including five designated American Viticultural Areas. Pennsylvania is the eighth-largest wine producing state in the country.
It took three hours fifty-seven minutes to complete. Juan Pablo Montoya was humbly given a second-place finish by being .869 seconds slower than Hamlin. Eight drivers failed to finish the race; including last-place finisher Mike Wallace who parked his car on lap 13. Derrike Cope's vehicle was too slow to qualify for the race. Previous-day rain forced a competition caution on lap 22; most other yellow flags after this one were mainly for debris or accidents. Nearly 20% of the race was held under the caution flag; with a green flag run lasting an average of nearly 15 laps.
Top ten finishers
Timeline
Start of race: Jimmie Johnson began the race in first place
Prior to the race, Kevin Harvick led the Drivers' Championship with 2,920 points, and Hendrick Motorsports driver Jeff Gordon was second with 2,736 points. Behind them in the Drivers' Championship, Denny Hamlin was third with 2,660 points, and Jimmie Johnson was fourth with 2,659 points. Kurt Busch was fifth with 2,658 points. In the Manufacturers' Championship, Chevrolet was leading with 143 points, twenty points ahead of their rival Toyota. In the battle for third place, Ford had 90 points, six ahead of Dodge.

Delaware - The US Explained
Delaware. It’s the second smallest state in the US, the 6th most densely populated, and was the first to ratify the US Constitution. Though small, Delaware is a fascinating state, and will be the first place I will cover in this 56 part series on every state, territory, and federal district in the United States.

Delaware is a tiny state in terms of population. And while it's also small in area size, there's a reason why the state has no major city to call its own. After all, if nearly 6 million people can squeeze into the Philadelphia metro region, they can certainly fit into Delaware's nearly 2,000 square miles. But while physical size isn't necessarily a problem, other factors definitely hindered Delaware's population growth over the decades.

Can you blame them for flocking here? I mean look at the place. Delaware beaches are regularly called some of the cleanest beaches in the country.
But there’s a lot more to Delaware than just neat beaches. I mean this place is HUGE! Actually it’s tiny. There’s still sort of a lot going on here in the Diamond State. If you’re thinking of making Delaware YOUR home one day, you need to know the ins and outs of this state so you know where the perfect place is for you and your perfect little family.

I'm a Delawareian, I f--- for the jump,
My corporate taxes so tilted I actually walk with a hunch
Delaware. It’s the second smallest state in the US, the 6th most densely populated, and was the first to ratify the US Constitution. Though small, Delaware is a fascinating state, and will be the first place I will cover in this 56 part series on every state, territory, and federal district in the United States.

COUPLE QUICK CORRECTIONS:
1. Sorry about the mispronunciation of Lewes.
2. I used a video of the Chesapeake Bridge and not the Chesapeake Bridge and Tunnel.

Is Delaware boring?
Is Delaware growing SUPER fast?
And does Delaware have awesome beaches?
We’ll answer those questions and more. So let’s pull up our anchors and get ready to set sail. We’re gonna unbox the state of Delaware!
Oooh. What a pretty beach. It’s not often you find a calm, tranquil beach up here in the northeast like this. Many beaches in this part of the country are way overcrowded and dirty. But not this beach. Nuh uh. This is Bethany Beach. It’s one of Delaware’s MANY great beaches. A lot of people from all over the area come to Delaware’s beaches in the summertime. That sounds like a GOOD thing, but all those people flocking to this part of the state means there’s no room for the locals!
No one wants annoying Pennsylvania, Maryland and DC people here right? But these are the closest nicest beaches for many Americans, and there’s no sign at the state line saying they can’t come.
This is Delaware.
