London's Barbican Centre Walking Tour | Summer 🌞 2021 | 4K 3D Sound 🎧
Filmed at around 2PM on Tuesday 15th June 2021 📅
Very sunny 🌞 with temperatures of around 25°C!
A chilled lunchtime walk from Barbican Underground Station to the Barbican Centre. This famous brutalist estate is home to various performance halls and facilities. The residences in the estate are worth a pretty penny these days, as can be seen in the shots of the local estate agents! We take a stroll along the Highwalks of the estate, passing the Barbican Conservatory and finishing with views of St. Giles Cripplegate and the Barbican Water Gardens/Lakeside Terrace.

Tour of the Brutalist Barbican in London
In this video I will be taking you on a tour around The Barbican Centre, one of London’s most iconic creative and cultural hubs.
It is part of the Barbican estate, a residential and commercial complex.
Completed in 1982, the Barbican is a prime example of Brutalist architecture. It was designed by the British architecture firm Chamberlin, Powell and Bon and is characterised by its monumental textured concrete structures.
We will also pop into the Art Gallery to see Alice Neel's Off The Griddle exhibition.

Voices of Resilience at The Barbican
In September 2024, The Barbican Centre, London, staged an extraordinary one-off performance of testimonies reflecting upon the resilience of Palestinians in Gaza accompanied by traditional Arabic music and a visual score. Four diaries from Gaza were performed: those of Nahil Mohana, Ala'a Obaid, Atef Abu Saif, and Sondos Sabra
in tandem with a visual and musical score. All commissioned and presented by Comma Press. The event was sold out, but now, for the first time, it is being shared with the general public.
