"Dangerous" is a song by the Swedish rock duo Roxette. Written by Per Gessle, the song was released as the fifth and final single from their second studio albumLook Sharp! (1988). Gessle penned it just before Roxette's first tour in 1987. Released at the end of 1989, it was the group's third top 10 showing on the Billboard Hot 100, spending two weeks at #2 in February 1990, kept from the #1 spot by Janet Jackson's Escapade. The music video was performed in the ruins of Borgholm Castle. It was released as a double A-side in the UK, alongside Listen to Your Heart.
The version on the single features a different introduction, omitting the instruments in favour of the duo singing the first line of the chorus.
Music video
The video for Dangerous was filmed during Roxette′s concert at Borgholm Castle in Öland, Sweden, in July 1989. It is a mix from rehearsal & live performance at that show and was directed by Doug Freel.
America was recorded using both electronic sounds and live recordings. An anechoic chamber was built in Baltimore to record the orchestral track "Rail." The reason Deacon decided to incorporate live instruments onto the album was that Deacon felt that electronic beats were limited by its lack of flaws and that he wanted the "slight imperfection in timing" human musicians have. Because he wanted the album to sound "more like a rock record" than an electronic one, Deacon enlisted King Crimson engineer Simon Heyworth to master the album.
Themes
In an interview with NPR, Deacon said that the album was inspired by the politics and geography of the United States, saying:
Deacon described the album as "political," saying that the lyrics were "[..] inspired by my frustration, fear and anger towards the country and world I live in and am a part of." However, Deacon also said that he did not want the political nature to be overt, arguing that people do not respond to overt political messages.
America is an overnight riverboat being built by American Cruise Lines (ACL) at Chesapeake Shipbuilding in Salisbury, Maryland for overnight river cruising on the Mississippi, Ohio, Tennessee, and Cumberland rivers in the United States. America will replace existing paddlewheeler Queen of the Mississippi on the Mississippi River in 2016 when that ship is repositioned the Columbia River. According to America Cruise lines, America will have "features never seen before on a riverboat". America will be larger than previous ACL riverboats with a 185 passenger capacity. The ship's hull was launched on August 7, 2015 and moved to a basin where construction of the upper decks and outfitting will take place.
Earth is a 1978 album by Jefferson Starship. The album was recorded in 1977, with the same band lineup as the previous album, Spitfire. The band had not toured in 1977, partly due to Marty Balin's reluctance to commit fully to the band. The song "Count on Me" became a Top-10 single, peaking at #8. The album itself hit #5 on the Billboard charts. A US and European tour followed which resulted in an audience riot in Germany after the band decided not to play without Grace Slick who was ill. They lost all their guitars and equipment during the riot and played one more tense show on German TV in Hamburg after which Grace left the band for one album. Marty Balin fronted the band for one more show at a Genesis concert at the Knebworth Festival in England using rented equipment. When they returned to the USA drummer John Barbata left the band after a serious car accident. This would be the end of the 1970s line-up and several new members joined the band, as well as a new record producer. Success of this album led to Jefferson Starship being contacted to provide a song for the Star Wars Holiday Special.

The Comedy Slap Heard ‘round the World - 1991
Comedians Bill Hicks and Denis Leary interviewed by Clive Anderson at Montreal’s Just For Laughs Comedy Festival, 1991. Answering the age old question: “Is it ever OK to hit a comedian?”
"Over at the Theatre St. Denis, the Scottish comedian Jerry Sadowitz, who was performing what the papers later called a "tasteless" show, was attacked by a man who ran onstage and punched him in the head and face. The guy was arrested, but Montreal prosecutors declined to pursue the matter. Tiger TV interviewed Bill Hicks and the other featured "bad boy" of the [Just for Laughs] festival, Denis Leary, on a sidewalk in downtown Montreal about the incident.”

"In Montreal, I got punched for saying "half of you here speak French.....the other half let them get away with it." The follow up line, which is never quoted, is what really upset the guy: "Why don't you speak Indian? You might as well speak the language of the people you stole the country off of in the first place."

And she's walking on the edge of a knife And she knows it's the death of her Sarah you live & you learn you're invisible And she's walking on the edge of a crowd Late at night you can never tell Town from town Sounds of England swallow you down Makes you want to laugh Could a heaven on earth be ours here & now? And she says "What's in my palm? Read between the lines Give me something to savour Can you do that? Cos I'll believe anything" And I say When you're hoping for some more from your life Shouldn't wonder you've had enough And in my town Sounds of England swallow you down And a heaven on earth is all ours but not now I tell you when a heaven on earth is all ours
