University of Wyoming
The University of Wyoming is a land-grant university located in Laramie, Wyoming, situated on Wyoming's high Laramie Plains, at an elevation of 7,220 feet (2194 m), between the Laramie and Snowy Range mountains. It is known as UW (often pronounced "U-Dub") to people close to the university. The university was founded in March 1886, four years before the territory was admitted as the 44th state, and opened in September 1887. The University of Wyoming is unusual in that its location within the state is written into the state's constitution. The university also offers outreach education in communities throughout Wyoming and online.
The University of Wyoming consists of seven colleges: agriculture and natural resources, arts and sciences, business, education, engineering and applied sciences, health sciences, and law. The university offers over 190 undergraduate, graduate and certificate programs including Doctor of Pharmacy and Juris Doctor. The University of Wyoming was featured in the 2011 Princeton Review Best 373 Colleges.

Students' union
A students' union, student government, free student union, student senate, students' association, guild of students or government of student body is a student organization present in many colleges, universities, and high schools. In higher education, the students' union is often accorded its own building on the campus, dedicated to social, organizational activities, representation and academic support of the membership.
In the United States, student union many times only refers to a physical building owned by the university with the purpose to provide services for students without a governing body also referred to as a student activity center, although the Association of College Unions International (largely US-based) has hundreds of campus organizational members). Outside the US, student union and students' union refer to a representative body, as distinct from a student activity centre.
Purpose
Depending on the country: the purpose, assembly, method and implementation of the group might vary. Universally the purpose of students' union or student government is to represent fellow students in some fashion.

Wyoming
Wyoming 
i/waɪˈoʊmɪŋ/ is a state in the mountain region of the Western United States. The state is the 10th largest by area, but the least populous and the second least densely populated of the 50 United States. The western two-thirds of the state is covered mostly with the mountain ranges and rangelands in the foothills of the eastern Rocky Mountains, while the eastern third of the state is high elevation prairie known as the High Plains. Cheyenne is the capital and the most populous city in Wyoming, with a population estimate of 62,448 in 2013.
Geography
Location and size
As specified in the designating legislation for the Territory of Wyoming, Wyoming's borders are lines of latitude, 41°N and 45°N, and longitude, 104°3'W and 111°3'W (27° W and 34° W of the Washington Meridian), making the shape of the state a latitude-longitude quadrangle. Wyoming is one of only three states (along with Colorado and Utah) to have borders along only straight latitudinal and longitudinal lines, rather than being defined by natural landmarks. Due to surveying inaccuracies during the 19th century, Wyoming's legal border deviates from the true latitude and longitude lines by up to half of a mile (0.8 km) in some spots, especially in the mountainous region along the 45th parallel. Wyoming is bordered on the north by Montana, on the east by South Dakota and Nebraska, on the south by Colorado, on the southwest by Utah, and on the west by Idaho. It is the tenth largest state in the United States in total area, containing 97,814 square miles (253,340 km2) and is made up of 23 counties. From the north border to the south border it is 276 miles (444 km); and from the east to the west border is 365 miles (587 km) at its south end and 342 miles (550 km) at the north end.

Wyoming (schooner)
Wyoming was a wooden six-masted schooner, the largest wooden schooner ever built. It was built and completed in 1909 by the firm of Percy & Small in Bath, Maine.Wyoming was also one of the largest wooden ships ever built, 450 ft (140 m) from jib-boom tip to spanker boom tip, and the last six-masted schooner built on the east coast of the US.
Because of its extreme length and wood construction, Wyoming tended to flex in heavy seas, which would cause the long planks to twist and buckle, thereby allowing sea water to intrude into the hold (see hogging and sagging). Wyoming had to use pumps to keep its hold relatively free of water. In March 1924, it foundered in heavy seas and sank with the loss of all hands.
Description
Wyoming was 329.5 feet (100.4 m) long and 50 ft 1 in (15.27 m) wide, with a draft of 30 ft 5 in (9.27 m). It had a volume of 373,054 cubic feet (10,563.7 m3), that is, a gross register tonnage (GRT) of 3730.54. After subtracting the volume consumed by the helm and crew quarters and other areas not suitable for cargo, she had a cargo capacity of 303,621 cubic feet (8,597.6 m3), or a net register tonnage of 3036.21. Its deadweight was 6,004 long tons, that is, the weight of the ship fully loaded, including the crew, cargo (6,000 tons), fuel, water and stores, less the weight of the ship when totally empty (4,000 tons), was 6,004 long tons. It could carry 6,000 long tons of coal. Wyoming was built of yellow pine with 6" planking and there were 90 diagonal iron cross-bracings on each side.

The film stars Tim McCoy, Dorothy Sebastian, Charles Bell, William Fairbanks and Chief John Big Tree. The film was released on March 24, 1928, by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer.

Why Nobody Lives in Wyoming
Did you know that Wyoming is 324 times larger than the city of New York, but only has a population that is 14 times smaller than New York City? Of course I realize that Wyoming is a whole state, and NYC is just a city (the nations biggest in fact), but it's kind of astonishing that one city can have 14 times more people than a whole state that dwarfs it in size. Now you probably hardly ever hear about the state of Wyoming, but it's growing..and beautiful and affordable. So then today's video looks at why nobody lives in Wyoming, because for it's size and scale Wyoming has very very few residents, not when compared to other states, but when compared to cities. In responding to this growing concern about the impacts of the invasive species, Clear Creek Conservation District (CCCD) has recently provided a cost-share opportunity for its constituents to focus on both the removal of the invasive tree as well as the re-establishment of native trees and shrubs in the areas where Russian olive have been removed. The cost-share is a two-phase approach, with Phase 1 being the removal and stump treatment of Russian olive on participating landowners. Phase 2 offers further reduced pricing for native trees and shrubs through CCCD’s annual conservation tree program.
Wyoming, and the western U.S. in general, are continuously facing water concerns. These concerns lay both in the quality and the quantity of this resource. According to the latest data from the Census of Agriculture, 169 ranches/farms in Johnson County irrigate 956,597 acres; approximately half of both occur in Clear Creek Conservation District’s boundary. The irrigated acres within the CD boundaries are primarily alfalfa and alfalfa/grass mix for livestock feed, and the acres are irrigated from three (3) stream sources, all within the Clear Creek Watershed. Antiquated irrigation systems that result in inefficient water delivery to fields and over-adjudicated streams have led CCCD to enter into an agreement with the University of Wyoming Ecosystem Science and Management Department within the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources to develop a comprehensive watershed hydrology model for the Clear Creek Watershed. The model intends to assist CCCD in prioritizing areas to begin focusing efforts to increase irrigation efficiencies.

Did you know that Wyoming is 324 times larger than the city of New York, but only has a population that is 14 times smaller than New York City? Of course I realize that Wyoming is a whole state, and NYC is just a city (the nations biggest in fact), but it's kind of astonishing that one city can have 14 times more people than a whole state that dwarfs it in size. Now you probably hardly ever hear about the state of Wyoming, but it's growing..and beautiful and affordable. Did you know that Wyoming is 324 times larger than the city of New York, but only has a population that is 14 times smaller than New York City? Of course I realize that Wyoming is a whole state, and NYC is just a city (the nations biggest in fact), but it's kind of astonishing that one city can have 14 times more people than a whole state that dwarfs it in size. Now you probably hardly ever hear about the state of Wyoming, but it's growing..and beautiful and affordable. So then today's video looks at why nobody lives in Wyoming, because for it's size and scale Wyoming has very very few residents, not when compared to other states, but when compared to cities.

In this Southwest Region District Sharing session, Zach Byram of the Clear Creek Conservation District in Buffalo, Wyoming, presents on the district's Russian Olive removal cost-share program as well as the comprehensive watershed model that is under development.
Russian olive trees are listed on the State of Wyoming’s Noxious and Invasive Weeds list because they outcompete native vegetation in riparian areas, wetlands, native wet pastures, and other mesic areas. The spread of Russian olive trees can negatively impact livestock grazing capacity, increase irrigation ditch maintenance, decrease water source-to-field efficiency, and decrease the amount and diversity of wildlife in monotypic stands. In responding to this growing concern about the impacts of the invasive species, Clear Creek Conservation District (CCCD) has recently provided a cost-share opportunity for its constituents to focus on both the removal of the invasive tree as well as the re-establishment of native trees and shrubs in the areas where Russian olive have been removed. The cost-share is a two-phase approach, with Phase 1 being the removal and stump treatment of Russian olive on participating landowners. Phase 2 offers further reduced pricing for native trees and shrubs through CCCD’s annual conservation tree program.
Wyoming, and the western U.S. in general, are continuously facing water concerns. These concerns lay both in the quality and the quantity of this resource. According to the latest data from the Census of Agriculture, 169 ranches/farms in Johnson County irrigate 956,597 acres; approximately half of both occur in Clear Creek Conservation District’s boundary. The irrigated acres within the CD boundaries are primarily alfalfa and alfalfa/grass mix for livestock feed, and the acres are irrigated from three (3) stream sources, all within the Clear Creek Watershed. Antiquated irrigation systems that result in inefficient water delivery to fields and over-adjudicated streams have led CCCD to enter into an agreement with the University of Wyoming Ecosystem Science and Management Department within the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources to develop a comprehensive watershed hydrology model for the Clear Creek Watershed. The model intends to assist CCCD in prioritizing areas to begin focusing efforts to increase irrigation efficiencies.

When did we stop thinking up new questions and daring to chase down their answers?
Should we blindly follow predetermined paths when they don’t lead us to anything new?
Should we really be on autopilot when there’s still so much to explore off the beaten trail?
The world needs more wonder.
More outside thinkers hungry for a challenge.
The world needs more cowboys.
And not just the kind that sweep you off your feet and ride you off into the sunset.
Ours are diverse cowboys that come in every sex, shape, color, and creed.
They come from Wyoming, Montana, Delaware, and Nigeria.
Because it’s not what you are that makes you a cowboy or cowgirl, but who you are.
It’s a shared spirit.
It’s the spirit of the underdog.
The kind of spirit that longs for something to prove.
The kind that emboldens those who possess it to stand on the perimeter and howl into the unknown with unbendable optimism.
The world needs more people to pick up the torch of progress and fearlessly venture onwards.

University of Wyoming
The University of Wyoming is a land-grant university located in Laramie, Wyoming, situated on Wyoming's high Laramie Plains, at an elevation of 7,220 feet (2194 m), between the Laramie and Snowy Range mountains. It is known as UW (often pronounced "U-Dub") to people close to the university. The university was founded in March 1886, four years before the territory was admitted as the 44th state, and opened in September 1887. The University of Wyoming is unusual in that its location within the state is written into the state's constitution. The university also offers outreach education in communities throughout Wyoming and online.
The University of Wyoming consists of seven colleges: agriculture and natural resources, arts and sciences, business, education, engineering and applied sciences, health sciences, and law. The university offers over 190 undergraduate, graduate and certificate programs including Doctor of Pharmacy and Juris Doctor. The University of Wyoming was featured in the 2011 Princeton Review Best 373 Colleges.

Matthew Heimbach insists he's not a racist. This comes as a surprise to his fellow students at Towson University, in the suburbs of Baltimore, where Matthew has formed a group called the White Student Union that advocates for "persons of European heritage"—what most of us call "white people." It also comes as a surprise to the African American students who feel targeted by the night patrols the senior history major began conducting in March. The patrols target supposed "black predators," Matthew wrote on the WSU's website, citing (among others) a case in which an African American man pulled out a knife and his penis, and wagged both at a co-ed couple who were copulating in a parking garage. "White Southern men," he wrote, "have long been called to defend their communities when law enforcement and the State seem unwilling to protect our people."
We recently went to Towson to meet Matthew and his cronies, as well as the students who want him off campus... or at least muzzled. White Student Union is a documentary about race, class, and self-righteous college students yelling at each other.

Why Wyoming is so empty? Despite being the 10th largest state in the USA, its vast landscapes remain sparsely populated. In this video, we delve into the fascinating reasons behind Wyoming's low population density. 🇺🇸 Wyoming boasts immense size, surpassing even many European countries like the United Kingdom, Romania, and Greece. Yet, with only half a million residents, it stands as the least populated state in America. Surprisingly, even Alaska, known for its rugged terrain, hosts more inhabitants. 😱 Comparing Wyoming to its neighbor, Colorado, reveals a stark contrast. While both states share similar sizes, Colorado boasts ten times the population. But what factors contribute to this stark demographic difference? Delving into history, we find clues dating back to 1858 when Colorado experienced a gold rush frenzy, attracting a massive influx of settlers. In contrast, Wyoming lacked significant gold deposits, failing to spur comparable population growth. Geography also plays a crucial role. Wyoming's landscape is predominantly rocky mountains, with only a fraction comprising the fertile Great Plains.
