Marco "Benny Benassi" Benassi (born 13 July 1967) is an Italian DJ and record producer. He is best known for his 2002 summer club hit "Satisfaction".
Career
Early days
A native of Milan and raised in Reggio Emilia, DJ and producer Benassi, started DJing alongside cousin Alle Benassi in the late 1980 in their hometown, before moving to Larry Pignagnoli's Off Limits production studio in the mid-1990, creating music for various acts, including Whigfield, J.K. and Ally & Jo. In 2001, Benassi, under the name KMC, released his first hit called "I Feel So Fine", with vocals by Dhany. The track first climbed the charts in Benassi's native Italy, and soon became a #1 hit in the UK club charts.
Moving from house to electro, "Satisfaction" took Benassi's success worldwide a year later with high-profile DJs like Carl Cox, Darren Emerson, and Roger Sanchez offering praises. The track reached #2 in the UK Singles Chart after the Ministry of Sound record company replaced the original video (an almost still picture of the band, overlaid with graphics) with a video of models using power tools.
"American Boy" is a song recorded by British rapper and singer Estelle for her second studio album Shine (2008). It features vocals from American rapper Kanye West. The song was written by Estelle, West, will.i.am, John Legend, Josh Lopez, Caleb Speir, and Keith Harris. It was produced by will.i.am, who also produced the album's previous single, "Wait a Minute (Just a Touch)", and uses the beat from the song "Impatient" from his own third studio album Songs About Girls (2007). "American Boy" is a breezy disco-funk song that lyrically describes a romance with an American suitor. The song's conception came after Legend, Estelle's mentor, suggested she write a song about meeting an American man.
"American Boy" was released by Atlantic Records as the album's second single on 31 March 2008. The song received positive reviews from music critics, who praised its fresh sound and production. The song reached the top five in many European and Oceanic markets, including Belgium and Estelle's native United Kingdom where it reached the chart's summit. It also achieved success in the United States, peaking at number nine on the Billboard Hot 100 and becoming Estelle's breakout song in the country. The song earned many nominations, and ultimately won a Grammy Award for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration. The music video, featuring a variety of celebrity guests, earned a Video Music Award nomination for Best UK Video. As a result of the song's popularity, Estelle performed it at several award shows and venues.
American Boy: A Profile of Steven Prince is a 1978 documentary directed by Martin Scorsese. Its subject is Scorsese's friend Steven Prince, best known for his small role as Easy Andy, the gun salesman in Taxi Driver. Prince is a raconteur telling stories about his life as an ex-drug addict and a road manager for Neil Diamond. Scorsese intersperses home movies of Prince as a child as he talks about his family. When talking of his years as a heroin addict, Prince tells a story about injecting adrenaline into the heart of a woman who overdosed, with the help of a medical dictionary and a Magic Marker. This story was re-enacted by Quentin Tarantino in his screenplay for Pulp Fiction. Prince also tells a story about his days working at a gas station, and having to shoot a man he caught stealing tires, after the man pulled out a knife and tried to attack him. This story was retold in the Richard Linklater film Waking Life.
"American Boy" is a song written and recorded by American country music artist Eddie Rabbitt. It was released in August 1990 as the fourth single from his album Jersey Boy. The song reached number 11 on country charts and was his final song to reach the top 40 on the chart.
In the song, Rabbitt expresses his desire to "live in a place where they name their kids Billy", "hear [his] man Willie" on the radio, cheer at Football games on Friday Night, and "go where [he] want[s] to." He states that he is a free man at this place. He then goes on to explain that he is an "American Boy" who drives a chevy, whose "older brother is a G.I. Joe, whose "little brother watched Saturday morning cartoons" and who goes to the beach to look at "pretty women." During the song, Rabbitt states:
Jason Nevins (born December 15, 1972) is an American songwriter, producer and remixer, who is most widely known for his dance productions, including his multi-platinum, multi-million selling production of "It's Like That" by Americanrap group Run–D.M.C.. He achieved his first global recognition in 1998 with his production of Run-D.M.C’s “It’s Like That” which had close to 5 million worldwide sales with over 1 million in sales in both Germany and the UK.
Career Highlights
In the 1990s, Nevins began releasing singles under various monikers through every big underground dance label, but achieved global recognition in 1998 with his 1997 production of Run–D.M.C.'s "It's Like That" which was released under the title 'Run–DMC vs. Jason Nevins', reaching number-one on the pop chart in over 30 countries, with close to 5 million worldwide sales and over 1 million in sales in both Germany and the United Kingdom. In the UK, the single also halted the Spice Girls' (then record) run of six consecutive number-one's with their first six singles, holding the Spice Girls' seventh release, "Stop", at number 2. The record also knocked Elton John's "Candle in the Wind 1997" from the number-one slot. In 1998, Nevins won an RTL television number-one Single award for the famous TV show, Top of the Pops. The same year he also won a Comet Award for the number-one Dance Act.

American Prince (teaser)
American Prince by Tommy Pallotta
http://americanprincemovie.com/
In 1978, director Martin Scorsese turned the camera on his friend and roommate, Steven Prince, whose life was more fascinating than what any screenwriter could dream up. The compelling documentary that emerged, 'American Boy' was to become Scorseses lost film. Having never been properly released, it gained cult status among cinefiles over the years through bootleg copies and influenced a whole generation of filmmakers. Quentin Tarantino took one of Prince's stories about injecting adrenaline into the heart of a woman who overdosed and turned it into one of the most memorable scenes in film history. Prince's influence on American cinema not only reaches much further than his small role as the gun salesman in 'Taxi Driver'...

American Prince (intro)
In 1978 Martin Scorcese turned his camera on Steven Prince to create 'American Boy', that became the lost Scorsese film. Prince had played the manic, amoral gun salesman in 'Taxi Driver', but his life was infinitely more fascinating than any screenwriter's fantasy. 30 years later 'American Prince' updates Scorcese's work, revealing a raconteur who blurs the boundaries between film and life. Quentin Tarantino took one of Prince's stories about injecting adrenaline into the heart of a woman who overdosed and turned it into one of the most memorable scenes in film history. Prince's influence on American cinema not only reaches much further than his small role as the gun salesman in 'Taxi Driver', he has clearly left an indelible mark. Three decades after Scorsese's documentary was released, Tommy Pallotta brings us 'American Prince', where he draws out Steven Prince once more to recount his days since 'American Boy', share why he turned his back on the entertainment industry and to compose the next chapter of his story.
'American Prince' premieres at SXSW on 14 March 2009 and will be distributed online by SubmarineChannel.com for free through video sharing and bittorrent websites such as Mininova.org and the like. See americanprincemovie.com for more details.

The Image: Easy Andy - a surprisingly good raconteur tells us all about Bubba the Gorilla! (And taking drugs - the let us say leitmotif that is threading throughout the entire film - "grass" in this case, heroin being his favourite...)

'What happened?' / 'He fried.'
The Image: Easy Andy from Taxi Driver - tells us all about his days as a road manager (for Neil Diamond) when a poor youth was accidently electrified by pulling apart an electrical cable while standing in a puddle of water...
I am not exactly sure how troubled Steven Prince really is about recalling this dreadful episode about the death of another human being in an entirely avoidable 'accident' ("I've always said that. I've always said it was an accident." At times he is obviously enjoying the role of chief raconteur to his entranced audience - https://aestheticoftheimageuk.files.wordpress.com/2024/05/screenshot-2024-05-15-at-08.01.44.png?w=1024 - smiling even - https://aestheticoftheimageuk.files.wordpress.com/2024/05/screenshot-2024-05-15-at-08.01.25.png?w=1024 but at least looking sombre at the end - https://aestheticoftheimageuk.files.wordpress.com/2024/05/screenshot-2024-05-15-at-08.02.12.png?w=1024

Heaven.. Heaven.. I'm in heaven with you, The only one for me I'm in heaven with you, The only one for me. Dont want to be the one, To tell you how I feel When these feelings I have, Really are for real The time is right for this, Our love to shine on through But you gotta tell me, What you wanna do. I'm in heaven with you.. I'm in heaven with you.. I'm in heaven with you, The only one for me I'm in heaven with you, The only one for me Your love Heaven.. Your love Only one, only one, Your love, Heaven.. Your love, The only one, the only one. Everytime you're near, I start to lose control, When the thought of you, Hits my very soul When you're lying in my bed, Right next to me That's when it starts to feel, Feel like ecstasy I'm in heaven with you.. I'm in heaven with you.. I'm in heaven with you, The only one for me I'm in heaven with you, The only one for me I'm in heaven with you, The only one for me I'm in heaven with you, The only one for me Your love Heaven.. Your love Only one, only one, Your love Heaven.. Your love Only one, only one. I'm in heaven with you, Only one, only one I'm in heaven with you, Only one for me I'm in heaven with you, Only one, only one I'm in heaven with you..
