Todd Edwards (born December 9, 1972) is an American house and garageproducer and Grammy winner. He currently resides in Los Angeles. With remixes numbering in the hundreds, some of the artists Edwards has remixed include Wildchild, St. Germain, Benjamin Diamond, Justice, Klaxons and Dimitri From Paris. Edwards co-produced and performed vocals on the Daft Punk song "Face to Face" from the album Discovery. Edwards worked again with Daft Punk, co-writing, co-producing and contributing vocals to the song, "Fragments of Time" off of their 2013 album, Random Access Memories, for which he won a Grammy. Much like his solo albums, his remixes make use of a complex vocal sampling technique, which in some cases renders the original track almost unrecognizable.
History
Todd Edwards began his musical career around 1992. He employs vocal reconstruction techniques to his songs, creating a unique vocal collage set to a four-on-the-floor beat. Marc "MK" Kinchen, who is primarily responsible for pioneering this technique, is one of Edwards's influences.
Todd Edwards is an American film writer/producer, film director, and writer working in Los Angeles. He is also an actor and songwriter/singer who is currently in the band called Blick Van Glory. He was born September 17, 1971 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. His first film was Chillicothe which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 1999, in which he wrote, directed, and acted.
Alabama was a Canadian band of the early 1970s. They had two songs that reached the top 100 in the RPM Magazinechart. "Song of Love" reached #26 in June 1973, and "Highway Driving" reached #42 in August. Band members were Buster Fykes, Hector McLean, Rick Knight, and Len Sembaluk.
The schooner Alabama was one of the last vessels built from the design of one of the most notable designers of Gloucester Fishing Schooners, Thomas F. McManus. Commissioned by the Mobile Bar Pilot Association of Mobile, Alabama, the vessel was built in Pensacola, Florida, launched in 1926, and originally called Alabamian until her predecessor the Bar Pilot Association's original Alabama was retired. Though the hull bore strong resemblance of McMannus' famous Gloucester fishing schooner designs, it served as a pilot boat stationed on the Mobile Bar until 1966.
In 1967 the schooner was bought by Captain Robert S. Douglas, master and designer of the Shenandoah, and moved to Vineyard Haven. There she sat on a mooring with minimal necessary upkeep until 1994. In the early nineties with a dwindling market for windjammer cruises which leave out most modern amenities kids became the new direction for the Coastwise Packet Company - the original name for what is now also The Black Dog Tall Ships. Because of the success of these "Kids Cruises" on board the Shenandoah, Alabama was to be rebuilt by the Five Corners Shipbuilding Company headed by Gary Maynard a former First Mate that sailed on the Shenandoah. Most of the work was done in Vineyard Haven with the vessel afloat on her mooring using Captain Douglas' own power tools and shop space. Any other work was done in Fairhaven, Massachusetts at D.N. Kelly's Shipyard.
The three stations are a trimulcast Los Angeles-area affiliate of the nationally syndicated Christian Rock network, Air1.
History
KYRA
KYRA signed on in 1963 with the call lettersKNJO, broadcasting from a studio in the Park Oaks shopping center in Thousand Oaks, California. KNJO stood for "Conejo", the valley in which the station was located. The station's claim to fame at the time was that it was the first FMradio station on the West Coast to broadcast in stereo. KNJO was a community radio station and featured local news, sports, and remote broadcasts from a variety of local events. The station was built by radio personality Sy Blonder and co-owned by Dodger baseball star Sandy Koufax and later purchased by Alan Fischler, Ed Feldman and Art Hogan; Ira Barmack (operator of KMDY Thousand Oaks [a comedy station]), political strategist/attorney Darry Srago, and finally the Amaturo Group. Studios moved to the Westlake Village North Ranch Mall, and today are located on Long Court in Thousand Oaks. Joe Amaturo and the Amaturo family purchased the station in the 1990s, and also purchased stations on the same frequency on Catalina Island and in Temecula. Eventually, they began a trimulcast, and changed the call letters of this station to KMLT when the station became Lite 92.7. The goal of the Amaturos has been to cover the entire Los Angeles/Orange County area with three stations on one frequency, 92.7 FM. Following the trimulcast's subsequent relaunches, the station became KHJL in 2007 and KLSI in 2012.

Todd Edwards is well known for his hypnotic collage of cut-up samples over swing house beats and extremely juicy, disco-flavored bass lines.
Over the years, Edwards has remixed Moloko, Justice, Phoenix, St. Germain, Klaxons, and even Boris, amongst numerous others and he co-produced and sang on Daft Punk’s “Face To Face,” from their milestone 2001 album Discovery.

Credited as one of the godfathers of UK garage, his four to the floor beats have won him a passionate fan base in Europe. Todd’s trademark sound on his early releases on NYC house labels like i! Records and Nervous quickly cemented his status in underground dance music circles across the pond, in the time before London’s 2-step sound had morphed into grime.
