John Shakespeare (c. 1531 – 7 September 1601) was the father of William Shakespeare. He was the son of Richard Shakespeare of Snitterfield, a farmer. He moved to Stratford-upon-Avon and married Mary Arden, with whom he had eight children, five of whom survived into adulthood. A well-to-do glover and whittawer (leather worker) by trade, Shakespeare was a dealer in hides and wool, and was elected to several municipal offices, serving as an alderman and culminating in a term as bailiff, the chief magistrate of the town council, before he fell on hard times for reasons unknown to historians. His fortunes later revived after the success of his son, and he was granted a coat of arms five years before his death, probably at the instigation and expense of his playwright son.
Career and municipal responsibilities
John Shakespeare moved to Stratford-upon-Avon in 1551, where he became a successful businessman involved in several related occupations. From 1556 to 1592, several official records identify him as a glovemaker, which was probably his primary trade, as tradition remembers him as following that trade even into his old age, but the records of his real estate purchases and legal expenses indicate an income much higher than that of a small-town tradesman. The administration of his father's estate in 1561 names him as a farmer. He inherited and leased agricultural lands and is on record as selling timber and barley. Court records also document him as a "brogger", an unlicensed—and therefore illegal—wool dealer. In addition, he bought and leased out houses. He was twice taken to court for violating the usury laws that prohibited charging interest higher than the legal limit of 10 percent.
Spartacus (Greek:ΣπάρτακοςSpártakos; Latin:Spartacus; c. 111–71BC) was a Thraciangladiator who, along with the GaulsCrixus, Oenomaus, Castus and Gannicus, was one of the escaped slave leaders in the Third Servile War, a major slave uprising against the Roman Republic. Little is known about Spartacus beyond the events of the war, and surviving historical accounts are sometimes contradictory and may not always be reliable. However, all sources agree that he was a former gladiator and an accomplished military leader.
This rebellion, interpreted by some as an example of oppressed people fighting for their freedom against a slave-owning oligarchy, has provided inspiration for many political thinkers, and has been featured in literature, television, and film. Although this is not contradicted by classical historians, no historical account mentions that the goal was to end slavery in the Republic, nor do any of the actions of the rebel leaders, who themselves committed numerous atrocities, seem specifically aimed at ending slavery.
It starred Anthony Hopkins, Catherine Zeta-Jones (in her first recording role), Fish, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, and others. It was also the first Jeff Wayne release that is not related to his musical adaptation ofThe War of the Worlds. Based on a story outline by Jeff Wayne, the script was written by writer Brian Sibley and playwright John Spurling with Sibley responsible for the script of 'Animal & Man', 'The Eagle & the Hawk' and 'The Appian Way' and Spurling largely responsible for the script of 'The Parting of the Ways' and 'The Last Battle'. Also starring in the album is Chris Thompson and Jo Partridge, who appeared in The War of the Worlds. Originally, Thompson had a singing role, but his song was dropped from the final version of the album. It is rumoured that Thompson possesses the only copy of his song.
Liam McIntyre as Spartacus – a Thracian warrior condemned to slavery as a gladiator in the House of Batiatus. After leading an uprising at the ludus, he and his rebel army have experienced great success against the forces of Rome, but are in for a great struggle against the forces of Crassus.
Manu Bennett as Crixus – a Gallic warrior who is the second-in-command in the rebel revolt. Naevia's lover.
Dustin Clare as Gannicus – a Celtic warrior, and former gladiator who has taken up arms against the Republic to honor the memory of Oenomaus.

About This Movie 👇👇👇👇👇
The American television program Spartacus, which was created in New Zealand, debuted on Starz on January 22, 2010, and ran until April 12, 2013. The actual character of Spartacus, a Thracian gladiator who, from 73 to 71 BC led a significant slave insurrection against the Roman Republic departing from Capua, served as the inspiration for the fictional series. Steven S. DeKnight and Robert Tapert, the film's executive producers, concentrated on organizing the events of Spartacus' obscure early existence before the start of written history.

Spartacus Vs Crixus | Spartacus: Blood and Sand
A Thracian warrior forced into slavery, Spartacus became the gladiator known as the Bringer of Rain. After losing his wife Sura and thirsty for vengeance, he led the gladiators in an uprising to escape the ludus and would eventually defeat the legions of Gaius Claudius Glaber and slayed the Roman praetor. Now, Spartacus has amassed an army in the thousands. He knows he is not only responsible for the lives of every man, woman, and child in his rebellion but also for continuing to inspire them to fight for freedom from oppression and stand up against the mighty Roman Republic.

Spartacus was enslaved — one of millions taken from territories conquered by Rome to work the mines, till the fields or fight for a crowd’s entertainment. Imprisoned for deserting the Roman Army, he and other enslaved people fought their way free and started a rebellion. How did an enslaved man become synonymous with freedom and courage? Fiona Radford delves into the life and legend of Spartacus.

Alone at night In the cold and windy city When the candle fades away Another morning And the sun's shining pretty You can watch the children play But there's a hole in the sky And it cries for you and I And we can't find the reason for calling There's a new place to see Another world for you and me And one can hear the bell which will be tolling Tolling They crossed the line See the light, it shines They crossed the line Heaven or hell, who will decide What's coming after The curse of wrath and agony, oh lord Please help us find our way We tried to get out Of the last light of eternity But we couldn't get away There's a hole in the sky And it cries for you and I But we can't find the reason for dreaming There's a new place to see Another world for you and me
