New Discovery in Egypt Shakes Up Everything We Know
A new discovery in Egypt’s pyramids has left experts rethinking everything they thought they knew. Scientists recently found hidden chambers deep inside the Great Pyramid of Giza using advanced scanning technology. These rooms have never been explored and could reveal secrets about how the pyramid was built or what it was used for. The discovery is exciting because it opens up the possibility of new treasures or historical clues hidden within Egypt's most famous monument. Researchers are now planning how to carefully explore these chambers without damaging the ancient structure. This discovery could completely change our understanding of ancient Egypt!

Lyrics:
Verse 1
I won’t forget
The wonder of how You brought
Deliverance
The exodus of my heart
Pre Chorus
You found me
You freed me
Held back the waters for my release
Oh Yahweh
Chorus
You’re the God who fights for me
Lord of every victory
Hallelujah, hallelujah
You have torn apart the sea
You have led me through the deep
Hallelujah, hallelujah
Verse 2
A cloud by day
A sign that You are with me
The fire by night
A guiding light to my feet
Bridge
You stepped into my Egypt
You took me by the hand
You marched me out in freedom
Into the promised land
Now I will not forget You
I’ll sing of all You’ve done
Death is swallowed up forever
By the fury of Your love

A cloud by day
A sign that You are with me
The fire by night
A guiding light to my feet
Bridge
You stepped into my Egypt
You took me by the hand
You marched me out in freedom
Into the promised land
Now I will not forget You
I’ll sing of all You’ve done
Death is swallowed up forever
By the fury of Your love

A new discovery in Egypt’s pyramids has left experts rethinking everything they thought they knew. Scientists recently found hidden chambers deep inside the Great Pyramid of Giza using advanced scanning technology. These rooms have never been explored and could reveal secrets about how the pyramid was built or what it was used for. The discovery is exciting because it opens up the possibility of new treasures or historical clues hidden within Egypt's most famous monument. Researchers are now planning how to carefully explore these chambers without damaging the ancient structure. This discovery could completely change our understanding of ancient Egypt!

Once a powerhouse of the ancient world, Egypt today faces a range of internal and external challenges that are holding it back from becoming a major global economic force. With its prime location between Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, and control of the critical Suez Canal, Egypt has all the ingredients to be a top 10 global economy—but what’s standing in the way?

Hello friends! Welcome to a new Happy Learning video.
As you can see in the images, today we are going to talk about pyramids, mummies and
pharaohs. Today, we are going to travel to Ancient Egypt.
Egypt is a country that still exists today, situated in North Eastern Africa, but what we call Ancient Egypt is a civilisation that started more than 5.000 years ago and lasted for approximately three thousand years.
Its origins commences with Pharaoh Narmer, also known as the Scorpion King, who in 3200 B.C. funded this country at the Nile’s bank.
The river Nile is the largest river in Africa and was the most important existing thing for egyptians, since they depended on its water to survive.
Their whole civilisation and cities rose from the river's bank.
The Nile was so important because Egypt is a country surrounded by desert, and cultivations could only take place at its shores. But it wasn’t only used for agriculture, the river was also used to fish and hunt. And they also used it, as a great road to transport goods or large stone blocks, used for their constructions.
All of this is why the Nile was considered to be a God.
Actually, Ancient Egyptians had hundreds of Gods. Some had a human’s body and an animal’s head, like the Goddess Bastet, who had a lion’s head, or God Anubis, and his jackal head.
But the most important of all, was Ra, God of Sun, who had a falcon’s head.
The pharaohs were Ancient Egypt’s Kings. There where many pharaohs over 3000 years, but the most famous one was Tutankamon. Ancient Egyptians believed in life after death, and therefore they were buried with their belongings: furniture, vases, clothes and even food. They believed that this way these things could be used in their next life. As pharaohs had the greatest power, they wanted to have the best tombs. And they got them! These tremendous pyramids were built for pharaohs tombs. Inside them, there are many tunnels, chambres and secret passageways.
When they died, pharaohs and some noblemen’s bodies were mummified to preserve their bodies after death. These are the famous mummies.
Mummies were placed in a sarcophagus, luxurious coffins that were covered in beautiful drawings and hieroglyphics. Hieroglyphics were the mysterious Egyptian writings. Their meaning was a mystery for thousands of years, but thanks to archaeologists, we can translate them and partly understand what they want to say.
The truth is everything in Ancient Egypt’s circle fascinates me.
You already know, that discovering the future makes us understand the present, and improve the future.

In between the iconic landmarks, mosques, and souks of Cairo lies a slum settlement that is filled with garbage. Bags and bags and bags of garbage. Appropriately nicknamed Garbage City, it’s actually called Manshiyat Naser, and it’s located just around the outskirts of Cairo’s centre, at the base of Mokattam Hill.

The Spotted Flycatcher
The Spotted Flycatcher (Muscicapa striata) is a small passerine bird that belongs to the flycatcher family. These birds are known for their elegant appearance and exceptional hunting skills. They have a distinct plumage, featuring pale underparts, a brownish-gray upper body, and conspicuous dark spots on their crown and back.
As its name suggests, the Spotted Flycatcher is an adept flycatcher. It uses its keen eyesight to spot flying insects and then launches into quick flights to capture them mid-air. After catching its prey, it returns to its perch to consume it.

Spotted Flycatcher Call - Spotted Flycatcher Song
Spotted Flycatcher call includes a thin, squeaky ‘zeee’, a sharp ‘chick’ and a ‘zee-zucc’ of alarm. Bill-snaps when flycatching. Spotted Flycatcher song is a weak and inconspicuous series of squeaky notes, often with quite long intervals between phrases, e.g. ‘tsee, chup chup, chup, tseee, tseee, chup-tsee-chup, tsee’. Spotted Flycatcher call from the perch, flicking wings and tail is as it does so. It has strong flight and quite bounding when moving over long distances. #spottedflycatcher #flycatcher #birds

Spotted flycatcher 1h bird sound
1 hour sound of Spotted flycatcher
The spotted flycatcher (Muscicapa striata) is a small passerine bird in the Old World flycatcher family. It breeds in most of Europe and in the Palearctic to Siberia, and is migratory, wintering in Africa and south western Asia. It is declining in parts of its range.
This is an undistinguished looking bird with long wings and tail. The adults have grey-brown upperparts and whitish underparts, with a streaked crown and breast, giving rise to the bird's common name. The legs are short and black, and the bill is black and has the broad but pointed shape typical of aerial insectivores. Juveniles are browner than adults and have spots on the upperparts.

Ranking Roman Provinces from Worst to Best
THE ANCIENT ROMAN CHALLENGE: Take a shot every time a province produced wine.
Wow, I cannot believe I finally managed to pull this video out, it took me weeks of research to finish it.
There might be some discrepancies about regions/provinces. Why are some listed provinces merged (Gaul, Hispania...) and others are not? Isn't that unfair??
Given the historical situation the borders of the provinces changed over time (look at Diocletian reforms, Balkans suddenly becomes like 30 provinces) I needed to make some cuts (or merges rather) in order to make the video interesting as well as historical. The best solution I came up with are those 18 provinces/regions you see in the vid.

Roman rule in Egypt
Maps of Roman Egypt
Northern Africa under Roman rule
The Roman Empire during the reign of Hadrian (117 – 138). Two legions were deployed in the imperial province of Ægyptus (Egypt) in the year 125.
As a key province, but also the 'crown domain' where the emperors succeeded the divine Pharaohs, Egypt was ruled by a uniquely styled Praefectus augustalis ('Augustal prefect'), instead of the traditional senatorial governor of other Roman provinces. The prefect was a man of equestrian rank and was appointed by the Emperor. The first prefect of Aegyptus, Gaius Cornelius Gallus, brought Upper Egypt under Roman control by force of arms, and established a protectorate over the southern frontier district, which had been abandoned by the later Ptolemies.
The second prefect, Ael...

“Shocking” Things you Did Not Know about Roman Ancient Egypt
Ancient Egypt lasted for a long, long time. Over the course of 3,000 years, some 32 dynasties ruled over the lands along the Nile, building temples and pyramids, creating art, evolving complex belief systems and rituals, and generally just being better than everyone else in the word at just about everything during that time.
But all good things must come to an end. Towards the turn of the first millennium AD, Rome was on the rise, gobbling up territory all around the Mediterranean. It wouldn’t be long before Egyptian domination came to an end. But the story of what happened next for Egypt has often been overlooked.

Why Was Ancient Egypt Crucial for the Roman Empire
#Documentary #Rome #romanempire #history #ancientegypt
Ancient Egypt held immense significance for the Roman Empire due to its strategic, economic, and cultural importance. Firstly, Egypt was the breadbasket of the empire, supplying grains vital to feeding Rome's vast population. The Nile's fertile lands facilitated abundant agricultural production, ensuring stability in food supply. Additionally, Egypt's wealth derived from its production of papyrus, a crucial material for record-keeping and communication in the ancient world. Moreover, Egypt's strategic location provided control over trade routes connecting Africa, Europe, and Asia. Culturally, Egypt was a melting pot, enriching Roman society with its traditions, beliefs, and knowledge. Its conquest solidified Roman power in the Me...

In our new animated historical documentary video we will talk about the importance of Egypt for the Roman Empire and how Egypt was not only the breadbasket of Rome, but also financed its military conquests and the legions. What made Egypt so special and how was it administered first by Augustus and the other Roman emperors?

The second prefect, Aelius Gallus, made an unsuccessful expedition to conquer Arabia Petraea and even Arabia Felix. The Red Sea coast of Aegyptus was not brought under Roman control until the reign of Claudius. The third prefect, Gaius Petronius, cleared the neglected canals for irrigation, stimulating a revival of agriculture. Petronius even led a campaign into present-day central Sudan against the Kingdom of Kush at Meroe, whose queen Imanarenat had previously attacked Roman Egypt. Failing to acquire permanent gains, in 22 BC he razed the city of Napata to the ground and retreated to the north.
From the reign of Nero onward, Aegyptus enjoyed an era of prosperity which lasted a century. Much trouble was caused by religious conflicts between the Greeks and the Jews, particularly in Alexandria, which after the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 became the world centre of Jewish religion and culture. Under Trajan a Jewish revolt occurred, resulting in the suppression of the Jews of Alexandria and the loss of all their privileges, although they soon returned. Hadrian, who twice visited Aegyptus, founded Antinoöpolis in memory of his drowned lover Antinous. From his reign onward buildings in the Greco-Roman style were erected throughout the country.
Under Antoninus Pius oppressive taxation led to a revolt in 139, of the native Egyptians, which was suppressed only after several years of fighting. This Bucolic War, led by one Isidorus, caused great damage to the economy and marked the beginning of Egypt's economic decline. Avidius Cassius, who led the Roman forces in the war, declared himself emperor in 175, and was acknowledged by the armies of Syria and Aegyptus.
On the approach of Marcus Aurelius, Cassius was deposed and killed and the clemency of the emperor restored peace. A similar revolt broke out in 193, when Pescennius Niger was proclaimed emperor on the death of Pertinax. The Emperor Septimius Severus gave a constitution to Alexandria and the provincial capitals in 202.[clarification needed]
Caracalla (211–217) granted Roman citizenship to all Egyptians, in common with the other provincials, but this was mainly to extort more taxes, which grew increasingly onerous as the needs of the emperors for more revenue grew more desperate.
There was a series of revolts, both military and civilian, through the 3rd century. Under Decius, in 250, the Christians again suffered from persecution, but their religion continued to spread. The prefect of Aegyptus in 260, Mussius Aemilianus, first supported the Macriani, usurpers during the rule of Gallienus, and later, in 261, became a usurper himself, but was defeated by Gallienus.
Zenobia, queen of Palmyra, took the country away from the Romans when she conquered Aegyptus in 269, declaring herself the Queen of Egypt also. This warrior queen claimed that Egypt was an ancestral home of hers through a familial tie to Cleopatra VII. She was well educated and familiar with the culture of Egypt, its religion, and its language. She lost it later when the Roman emperor, Aurelian, severed amicable relations between the two countries and retook Egypt in 274—following an unsuccessful four-month siege of the defenses of Zenobia—and only by waiting until her food supplies became exhausted.
Two generals based in Aegyptus, Probus and Domitius Domitianus, led successful revolts and made themselves emperors. Diocletian captured Alexandria from Domitius in 298 and reorganised the whole province. His edict of 303 against the Christians began a new era of persecution. This was the last serious attempt to stem the steady growth of Christianity in Egypt, however.

Its conquest solidified Roman power in the Mediterranean.
