Mass is one of the names by which the sacrament of the Eucharist is commonly called in the Catholic Church,Western Rite Orthodox churches and many Old Catholic, Anglican, and Lutheran churches, as well as some Methodist churches. Apart from "Eucharist" others are the "Lord's Supper", the "Breaking of Bread", the "Eucharistic assembly (synaxis)", the "memorial of the Lord's Passion and Resurrection", the "Holy Sacrifice", the "Holy and Divine Liturgy" and "Holy Communion". In these denominations, the term Mass often refers to the entire church service in general. Some Protestants employ terms such as Divine Service or service of worship, rather than the word Mass, although other Protestants, such as Anglicans and Lutherans, use the word. For the celebration of the Eucharist in Eastern churches, including those in fullcommunion with the Holy See, other terms such as the Divine Liturgy, the Qurbono Qadisho or Holy Qurbana and the Badarak are normal.
Etymology
The English noun mass is derived from Middle Latinmissa. The Latin word was adopted in Old English as mæsse (via a Vulgar Latin form *messa), and was sometimes glossed as sendnes (i.e. "a sending, dismission").
The Latin term missa itself was in use by the 6th century.
It is most likely derived from the concluding formula Ite, missa est ("Go; the dismissal is made"); missa here is a Late Latin substantive corresponding to classical missio.
The Mass is an album released in 2003 by Eric Lévi's musical project Era. It is Era's third album. It achieved success in several European countries. The title track, "The Mass", is an adaptation of O Fortuna, a classical piece by Carl Orff.
Videos were shot for "The Mass" and "Looking for Something"; featuring actors Pierre Boisserie and Irene Bustamante.
Massè is an arrondissement in the Plateau department of Benin. It is an administrative division under the jurisdiction of the commune of Adja-Ouèrè. According to the population census conducted by the Institut National de la Statistique Benin on February 15, 2002, the arrondissement had a total population of 16,902.
The Mass in B minor (BWV 232) by Johann Sebastian Bach is a musical setting of the complete Ordinary of the Latin Mass. The work was one of Bach's last compositions, not completed until 1749, the year before his death. Much of the Mass gave new form to vocal music that Bach had composed throughout his career, dating back (in the case of the "Crucifixus") to 1714, but extensively revised. To complete the work, in the late 1740s Bach composed new sections of the Credo such as "Et incarnatus est".
It was unusual for composers working in the Lutheran tradition to compose a Missa tota and Bach's motivations remain a matter of scholarly debate. The Mass was never performed in its entirety during Bach's lifetime; the first documented complete performance took place in 1859. Since the nineteenth century it has been widely hailed as one of the greatest compositions in musical history, and today it is frequently performed and recorded.Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach archived this work as the Great Catholic Mass.

The Meaning of Liturgy in the Catholic Church
What does liturgy mean in the Catholic Church?
The origin of the word liturgy is the Greek word "leitourgia," which means "work for the people." In ancient Greece, the citizens would do public service for their city. They would give back to their community. It was their duty as citizens.
leos/laos = people, public
ergo = to do
In the Catholic Church, we use the word liturgy to refer to the public prayers of the Church, especially the Mass. It includes the rites and rituals that we do together as a Church to worship God.
The Liturgy of the Hours, for example, is the public prayer of the Church that all religious and even laity can join in together at specific times of day.
We have come to use the word liturgy to especially refer to the Mass. Even within the Mass there are two par...

We have come to use the word liturgy to especially refer to the Mass. Even within the Mass there are two parts that particularly bear this name: the Liturgy of the Word and the Liturgy of the Eucharist.
But let's go deeper. What is actually happening during Liturgy?
WHO?
Liturgy is an "action" of the whole Christ (Christus totus). Those who even now celebrate it without signs are already in the heavenly liturgy, where celebration is wholly communion and feast. (CCC, 1136)
HOW?
- Signs and Symbols
- Words and Actions
- Singing and Music
- Holy Images
WHEN?
- The Mass
- Liturgical Year, Seasons
- Liturgy of the Hours
WHERE?
- Anywhere, but especially a church with all the signs that help elevate our minds and hearts to God.

[M: Persson, L: Persson] Bleesed are the ones that serves our God Bleesed are the ones Bleesed are the ones Cause doing his deeds gives you entrance above Rewarded with paradise He gave us his life to rescue our souls "Glory to him" "Glory to him" So that's why we all must follow his word And redeem ourselves from sin All must follow his will And spread his word to all they shall meet And make them all see that there's only one The one and only, mighty God But woe to them all that breaks his commands "Hell shall await" "Hell shall await" Cause witches belong in the fires of hell And burn for eternity Those who worship the demon below Forever they'll be banished by him So in his name we'll slaughter them all And send them to the abyss No one will be spared There's no mercy for the children of hell If they are not stopped they will take your souls And torment you forevermore [Solo: Fredrik] So if you all want entrance above You must believe, you must believe And swear that you're loyal and follow his will Then to heaven you'll get a key The bringer of light will shine on us all Shine on us all, shine on us all And we shall receive all heavenly joys For serving our lord So, hear what I say Repent yourself, and follow his way And I can assure you this choice from this time Will give you a beautifull life So hear what I say Repent yourself, and follow his way And I can assure you this choice from this time
