At the company's peak it provided high speed Internet service for 4.1 million subscribers in the U.S., Canada, Japan, Australia, and the Benelux nations, operating four joint ventures, three of which were international.
In December 1998, Excite was in merger negotiations with Yahoo! inc in an agreement to purchase the Excite portal for a price between $5.5 billion and $6 billion. On December 19, at Kleiner Perkins prompting, @Home Network's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Thomas Jermoluk met with Excite's Chairman and CEO George Bell, according to documents filed with the SEC, and a deal was hashed out for the purchase of Excite and its debt.
The Shop at Home Network (more commonly known as just Shop at Home,Shop At Home TV,SATH ) was a television network in the United States. Before its acquisition by Jewelry Television in 2006,The E. W. Scripps Company owned and operated the network from 2002 until 2006, when the network temporarily ceased operations on June 21. In 2006, competitor Jewelry Television bought Shop at Home from owner The E. W. Scripps Company along with all of Shop at Home's assets. The network primarily focused on home shopping programming, as indicated by the name. During Scripps' ownership, some of its programming was done in conjunction with other Scripps channels (such as Food Network).
History
Shop At Home (SATH (Shop At The Home) stock symbol) the concept was started by Joe Overholt in the middle 1980s. Located in a strip mall just off of Interstate 40 in Newport Tn the original programs were taped in segments and mailed to head-end origination studios to be played when time was available. The low budget production was aired over unused satellite transponders to an audience that of individual satellite dish owners. It soon became apparent that these inconsistent excursions would not a shopping channel make. After pulling together some very limited funding from a few local East Tennessee small business men and individuals around Knoxville SAH began the search for affordable satellite distribution time. Plans were being made to take the company public and without securing a means of distribution it would fail. An "available for the right price" transponder was located and an affiliate (and friend) of Overholts entered into negotiations and after much legal and financial wrangling this most important asset was acquired.
In graph theory, a flow network (also known as a transportation network) is a directed graph where each edge has a capacity and each edge receives a flow. The amount of flow on an edge cannot exceed the capacity of the edge. Often in operations research, a directed graph is called a network. The vertices are called nodes and the edges are called arcs. A flow must satisfy the restriction that the amount of flow into a node equals the amount of flow out of it, unless it is a source, which has only outgoing flow, or sink, which has only incoming flow. A network can be used to model traffic in a road system, circulation with demands, fluids in pipes, currents in an electrical circuit, or anything similar in which something travels through a network of nodes.
Definition
Let be a finite directed graph in
which every edge has a non-negative, real-valued capacity . If , we assume that . We distinguish two vertices: a source s and a sink t. A flow in a flow network is a realfunction with the following three properties for all nodes u and v:
Democratic Electoral Network (Red Electoral Democratico) is a political party in Aruba. At the last elections for the Estates, 23 September 2005, the party won 7% of the popular vote and 1 out of 21 seats.
Network Ten (commonly known as Channel Ten or simply Ten, stylised as TEN), is an Australian commercial broadcasting network owned by Ten Network Holdings, and is headquartered in Pyrmont, New South Wales. It is the third Australian free-to-airtelevision network to make its debut after Nine Network in 1956 and Seven Network in 1956. It first aired on August 1, 1964 in Melbourne. Network Ten is the fourth of all the five national free-to-air networks in Australia, after the ABC. Its owned-and-operated stations can be found in the capital cities of Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth, while affiliates extend the network to cover most of the country. The channel's name became a backronym for "The Entertainment Network" during the early-1990s.
History
Origins
From the introduction of TV in 1956 until 1965 there were only two commercial television networks in Australia, the National Television Network (now the Nine Network) and the Australian Television Network (now the Seven Network), as well as the public Australian Broadcasting Corporation (then Commission). In the early 1960s, the federal government began canvassing the idea of licensing a third commercial television station in each capital city. This decision was seen by some as a way for the government to defuse growing public dissatisfaction with the dominance of imported overseas programming and the paucity of local content. The first of these "third" licences was granted to United Telecasters Sydney was granted on 4 April 1963.
UHF analog channel 55 in northeast Ohio was originally allocated to Akron as WCOT-TV. The license was awarded to Rex Humbard in the late 1970s. The plan was for the station to sign on by 1981, with Christian programming being broadcast for two thirds of the day and some family-oriented entertainment programming a third of the day. Construction on the station began in 1978, but ran out of funding and was on hold by 1980. The secular programming that was to air on the station was sold to a new station, WCLQ (channel 61, now WQHS-DT), and the plan to build WCOT was abandoned in 1981. In 1982, Humbard sold the construction permit to Winston Broadcasting, a subsidiary of Ernest Angley Ministries. Construction of the station resumed in 1983.
A home directory is a file system directory on a multi-useroperating system containing files for a given user of the system. The specifics of the home directory (such as its name and location) is defined by the operating system involved; for example, Windows systems between 2000 and 2003 keep home directories in a folder called Documents and Settings.
Description
A user's home directory is intended to contain that user's files; including text documents, music, pictures or videos, etc. It may also include their configuration files of preferred settings for any software they have used there and might have tailored to their liking: web browserbookmarks, favorite desktopwallpaper and themes, passwords to any external services accessed via a given software, etc. The user can install executable software in this directory, but it will only be available to users with permission to this directory. The home directory can be organized further with the use of sub-directories.
The content of a user's home directory is protected by file system permissions, and by default is accessible to all authenticated users and administrators. Any other user that has been granted administrator privileges has authority to access any protected location on the filesystem including other users home directories.

Finding maximum flow through a network
This is an alternative to the minimum cut/maximum flow theorem to find the maximum flow through a network. It seems more intuitive and less error-prone than trying to list all cuts and find the capacity of each one.

Max-Flow Min-Cut Theorem: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Max-flow_min-cut_theorem
Proofs: Reference "Algorithm Design" by Jon Kleinberg and Éva Tardos Chapters 7.1, 7.2 for excellent proofs on all of this.
Things I'd Improve On This Explanation (w/ More Time):
1.) I should have done a walk-through showing how the residual graph dictates how the original graph's edge flows (f(e)) are updated each iteration. (That would've made it more clear how the residual graph in the Ford-Fulkerson algorithm tells us how to update the flow on each edge (f(e)) in the original graph along the s-t path P, THEN we update the residual graph (also along P) to prepare for the next iteration.)
2.) Go into the actual augmentation once we find an s-t path P in the residual graph. We can only modulate the flow f(e) for each edge in the original graph on path P ± the smallest value residual graph edge on path P. The smallest forward edge on path P in the residual graph is the "bottleneck" to how much we can increase flow along the path P in the original graph. (hard to visualize...the textbook may have to take it away with this one, but when you understand this you'll really get it after watching this video)
I also didn't talk about time complexity, but the amount of while loop iterations is bounded to the capacity coming out of start node 's'. We can't ever push more flow from 's' than the sum of capacities of those exiting edges. If each interaction increases the value of the flow v(f) by 1 (and v(f) starts at 0 in the beginning since no "water" is going through the "pipes"), we can do at most C augmentations of the flow network where C = sum(edge capacities leaving 's').
In each while loop:
- O(|V| + |E|) to find the augmenting path
- O(|E|) to update the flows in the original graph
- O(|E|) to update the residual graph
So total runtime can be bounded to O(C * (|V| + |E|)).

Split into two parts, here's nearly 2 1/2 hours of Shop at Home Network taped off KCYU Yakima in the early morning hours of May 23rd, 2001. All but the last 20 minutes is a late night repeat of the Electronics Essentials show (no Sports Collectibles on this one); the last 20 minutes has Gold by the Gram. Shawn Leflar is the host of Electronics Essentials. Items include a Canon Hi8 camcorder, a radar detector, and a computer system.

This is an alternative to the minimum cut/maximum flow theorem to find the maximum flow through a network. It seems more intuitive and less error-prone than trying to list all cuts and find the capacity of each one.

Ford–Fulkerson Algorithm: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford%E2%80%93Fulkerson_algorithm

Let's play a game my dear, you read my mind while you try to figure out what's inside under the influence of wine and jazz I'll say I love you every time and you, you will believe me though: One day I'm feeling fine oh, the next I'm feeling down I don't think that you have ever know me well or listened to the songs I sang, they were honest I don't think that you have ever felt this way or listened to those words I sang, they were about you My eyes have danced with yours a million times waiting for the silent dawn unfold under the influence of wine and jazz I'll say I love you every time and you, you will believe me though: One day I'm feeling high oh, the next I'm feeling down
