The Rise & Fall Of The Boeing 767
The 767 has been an important aircraft for Boeing. Starting out in the early 1980s, it opened up transatlantic routes to twin-engines – a major development at the time. While it is not the best-selling widebody (the 777 takes that), it has had a long life, moving through several variants. More efficient aircraft have now taken over, but it remains in production and popular for cargo and logistics use.

United’s Least Used Aircraft: The Boeing 767-400ER
The Boeing 767-400ER is United Airlines’ least used aircraft this year after a handful of planes came out of long-term storage in time for the summer season. This move was partially due to the grounding of some Boeing 777-200s. On United’s list of least used aircraft, the 767-400ER comes out on top, but is followed by the 737 MAX 8, 787-8, CRJ-700, and 787-10. Let’s take a look at where the 767-400ER is flying these days.

#Lauda Air Flight 004 was a regularly scheduled flight from Bangkok, Thailand, to Vienna, Austria. On 26 May 1991, the thrust #reverser on the No.1 engine of the #Boeing #767-300ER deployed in flight uncommanded, causing the aircraft to enter an uncontrolled #dive. What happens in the following seconds could only be described as the sum of all fears.
