Super Mario Galaxy is a 3D platforming game released by Nintendo in 2007. It is the third 3D game in the Super Mario series. Mario embarks on a quest to rescue Princess Peach and save the universe from Bowser. Levels are taken place in galaxies filled with minor planets and worlds, with different variations of gravity and gameplay.

Mario embarks on a quest to rescue Princess Peach and collect all 120 Power Stars back from Bowser after they were stolen. Levels are taken place in galaxies filled with minor planets and worlds, with different variations of gravity and gameplay. The player character is controlled using the Wii Remote and Nunchuk navigate. Gameplay[]
Levels are taken place in galaxies, with planets being explored throughout each galaxy. The player goes through the levels attacking enemies, grabbing coins and star bits, talking to Toads and other characters, and sometimes collecting Mushrooms to get extra health points and special abilities. Some planets even have mini levels that the player completes to get an extra life. The Comet Observatory is the main hub, where Mario can go to certain domes that can transport him to the galaxies. Galaxies sometimes have special challenges for the player that requires them to race against time, go through the level with only one health point, etc. Mario goes throughout the entire game collecting Power Stars when finishing levels, with Grand Stars being collected when a dome boss is defeated.
Controls[]
The player controls Mario with the Wii Remote and Nunchuk. Mario can long jump, wall jumps, somersaults, pick up stars like in the previous 3D game. Mario can also spin to damage enemies and shatter glass objects, or even launch himself with a Sling/Launch Star. Spinning is also used interacting with objects that require turning. The (second) player uses the Wii Remote cursor to pick up star bits, which are used to feed certain Lumas to transform them into Launch Stars.
