LONDON 8PM SAT 4th September

  • [if you don't know what this subtlemob stuff is about, - look here]
  • INSTRUCTIONS

We're going to do this come rain or shine, so dress for the weather! You've signed up and you've got a partner to come along with? You've both got your own mp3 players? then let's go...

    1. 1. First download ONE of the MP3 files on the right, if your birthday is between January and June then you should download "LOST", if your birthday is between July and December you should download "FOUND"
    2. 2. It is VERY IMPORTANT that you and your partner download the SAME file, so you should just pick one of your birthdays.
    3. 3. Make sure that the track plays ok on both of your MP3 players, but don't listen to too much of it yet, you'll spoil the surprise. The track is around 33mins long so may take sometime to download and copy.
    4. 4. On Friday morning the map below you will show an area in London, at 8pm you should be somewhere in the marked area (You should try and stay in this area throughout the event).
    5. 5. You should press play on your MP3 players at EXACTLY 8PM, Synchronise your watches to something reliable! (like the radio or tv news)

    Where it's happening...

  • As it's a sort of anniversay and finale, we're going back to the original London site for this one . . .
  • Stay in the green areas!
  • last london show

..and remember, this is a subtle mob, it's all about being invisible, so we ask kindly that you don't spend all your time just taking photos and videos, just come and enjoy the experience. If you've got any questions these hints may help, otherwise drop us a mail at [email protected]

    Hints

I can't remember all this information! - Why not print out this page? But make sure you hide it in your pocket when you arrive!

What if I'm late? - if you're running late then you should start listening to the track at 8PM and then just catch up once you get to the area on the map, remember to synchronise your watch to something reliable.

Will it work on any MP3 player? - Yes, it should work on any MP3 player, if you're using a mobile phone then it's probably best to set it so you can't receive calls while you're listening (this is called 'airplane mode' on some handsets) otherwise you may go out of sync.

What if i accidentally stop the track while listening to it? - if you're MP3 player has a 'hold' switch on it then we recommend you turn that on. If you can't do that and something goes wrong then you could just fast forward the track to the right minute past the hour (e.g. if it's 8.15 then fast forward 15mins into the track)
