Floor-to-ceiling Boris ragers! It’s like they looked back on songs like Statement and Woman On the Screen and said “let’s do a whole album like that!†Most of these tracks don’t even pass 3 minutes! Zerkalo holds up the middle with some anguished doom. In the end, *NO* is as strong and declarative as it’s title.

While I don't personally like it as much as his breakout, I can't deny this is still one of the best albums of 2023, and in many ways an evolution and distillation of his style. Sky Hundred is a good record, but a regression from here. I hope, in the future, he continues to expand this sound, since I think he's done everything he can with harsher noise.
