I could go on and on about some of the best duos in the world: surf and turf, Dumb and Dumber, The New Age Outlaws…but today, I’m here to talk about a legendary duo that all of us can rally behind: cigars and bourbon. And what better place to start than Buffalo Trace distillery? With over 200 years in the business, there’s few that can hold a candle to that history. 

So let’s take a look under the hood, shall we? BUFFALO TRACE® cigars start off with a potent yet balanced mix of barrel aged Piloto Cubano and Nicaraguan long-filler tobaccos that are encased inside a Brazilian Arapiraca binder and then finished with dark, oily Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper. Expect notes of cedar, cashews, and leather with hints of vanilla and spice on the finish. Incredibly balanced and unique, BUFFALO TRACE® adds another ‘W’ to their resume and delivers one of the finest cigars we’ve had in long time. Oh, and it pairs exceptionally well with a few fingers of the good stuff.

I enjoyed the cigar, however I thought they were a little bit overpriced. After I placed my order, the extra taxes and shipping fees were added and it was nearly two hundred dollars. The E.H. Taylor's cigars are even more expensive, so they will probably cost around three hundred after taxes, fees, surcharges, shipping, etc., If all you're paying for is the name, then I suggest you change brands and buy at your local cigar lounge.

Good flavor but poor construction. Did the old finger roll and pinch. Tried several tricks to try to loosen them up. Taste was good, better than average for sure, but through at least three of them away because I couldn’t get them to draw several others required multiple lightings.

My husband’s absolute favorite!! Great flavor and pull. For me, whom doesn’t smoke, the smoke isn’t too over powering which is really nice. He loves the flavor of the infused Buffalo Trace Bourbon and of course goes best with a good drink of Buffalo Trace. The draw is really smooth from what he tells me and isn’t one to make him choke.
