Welcome to Ümeric. How you doing? What a crazy world we live in, right?

Umeric is my studio, workshop, screening room, gallery space, and sketch book...

Umeric is a play on the word "generic"... but flipped, made for you, one-off. I’m self-taught, a writer, director, designer, photographer—basically, I’ve devoted my life to storytelling.

So, who am I? Well, I’m a skateboarder first. It saved my life. It’s taught me about music, the city, pain, friendship, forgiveness, death and love. And yeah, I still skate.

I got onto this rollercoaster of an industry by playing in bands that needed gig posters and videos. I’m always learning, always playing... So I guess that’s why my work shifts in scale and tone—from the epic to the energetic to the ridiculous—but most of all, they’re adventurous and creative, which is what life’s about, right?

Anyways, what a crazy world we live in.
