Three changes and two notable Middlesbrough absentees against Sheffield Wednesday

MICHAEL Carrick has made three changes to his Middlesbrough team for the Boxing Day game against Sheffield Wednesday.

Dael Fry, Dan Barlaser and Delano Burgzorg come into the side, replacing George Edmundson, Jonny Howson and Riley McGree.

Howson and Edmundson are both missing from the squad, with Hayden Hackney captaining the side.

Tommy Conway is again preferred to Emmanuel Latte Lath up-front.

Lukas Engel is back in the squad and on the bench after his long lay-off. Seny Dieng, Luke Ayling and Aidan Morris are all still missing.
