Oldham 0-2 Swindon – 15th December 2012

A first-half brace from Raffaele De Vita gave Swindon their first win in four games as they defeated in-form Oldham Athletic.

Matt Ritchie’s pinpoint cross found the Italian at the back post and the winger was able to thump the ball low past Alex Cisak in the 28th minute.

Just three minutes later would be the second goal, Nathan Thompson’s cross evaded every player in the box except from De Vita, who’s effort on goal squirmed into the back of the net.

The win put Town just one point away from the play-off places as they would go on and finish 6th but lost out to Brentford on penalties at Griffin Park.

Swindon 5-0 Tranmere – 21st December 2012

Another game from 2012/2013 season, as Swindon put five past league leaders Tranmere Rovers at the County Ground.

Danny Hollands got the Robins off to the best possible start in the 4th minute as his low effort flew into the back of the net thanks to a deflection from a defender.

De Vita doubled the lead as his weak effort from outside the area somehow found it’s way past Owain Fon Williams.

Thompson’s cross into the box took a touch off Ian Goodison before falling to Andy Williams, who tucked the ball into the bottom left corner.

Ritchie made it four inside the 33rd minute as his effort went under Fon Williams to put the hosts in control.

The fifth eventually came as Williams got his second in the 51st minute, the striker did well to find space in behind and slotted the ball across the opposition goalkeeper to round off a five-star performance.

Swindon 4-0 Cambridge – 26th December 2019

A hat-trick from Keshi Anderson kept Town top of the league as they cruised past the U’s.

Eoin Doyle’s penalty just went past Dimitar Mitov as the ‘Ginger Pele’ equalled the all-time club record of scoring in eleven consecutive matches.

Kaiyne Woolery was able to head the ball down into the path of Keshi Anderson who did well to squeeze his effort past the goalkeeper to get his first of three in the 40th minute.

The next goal would come in the first minute of first-half stoppage time as Anderson unleashed a powerful effort from outside the box to give the Robins a three goal advantage at the break.

Anderson secured the match ball after latching onto a loose ball first and effortlessly smacked the ball past Mitov.

Walsall 1-4 Swindon – 26th December 2014

The Robins moved up into third as they provided supporters with a late Christmas present that was fuelled by a Williams brace.

Michael Smith’s movement allowed him to tap home across goal into the bottom left corner after Nathan Byrne’s cross in the 3rd minute in what was the dream start.

Tom Bradshaw got the leveller as Jordan Turnbull’s slide tackle fell right into the path of the striker who calmly struck the ball into the back of the net.

The snow flurried down as the visitors found themselves in front again as Massimo Luongo’s powerful low effort caught out Richard O’Donnell.

Williams found his way past Rico Henry and went through on goal and chipped the goalkeeper to put Swindon in a comfortable lead.

The duo of Smith and Williams linked up once again as the now-Hereford striker softly tapped the ball past O’Donnell to make it four.
