Blackburn Rovers star's landmark moment and important Ewood Park factor
Owen Beck says Blackburn Rovers are relishing the challenge of some big festive fixtures as they aim to sign off the year with two wins at Ewood Park.
After defeat at Millwall, John Eustace's side are looking for a response in a big match on Boxing Day. Sunderland come to Lancashire with Hull City their final game at home in 2024 three days later.
Leeds United and Burnley provide further top opposition next week making it an exciting Christmas programme. Ewood Park is set for bumper crowds with over 22,000 sold for Sunderland already. All available tickets for the East Lancs derby are close to be sold out.
Beck believes these atmospheres and occasions can coax the best from Rovers as they look to end the calendar year positively.

"We're all loving it at Ewood, every time we step out, we feel like a team and like we're together," he told RoversTV.
"The fans play a big part in that as well. I feel like we are all as one and bonded. It's shown with the performance and the results.
"We're looking forward to Boxing Day and the festive period. It's important for us to have that backing in the games where it's tough and you need the fans to push you over the line.
"Every game is tough and we have some difficult games coming up but I'm sure we can pick some points up.
"As a player, you want to play in the big games and big atmospheres. Those are the ones where we need to show what we're all about. The fans in games gone by, they have shown how loud they can be and how they can push us through.
"Sunderland are a good side and we have shown that too. It will be a good game and hopefully, we can get the three points."
Beck netted his first Rovers goal last time out at Ewood, scoring a crucial second in the win over Luton Town, that was his first senior goal.
"It was a special feeling, it's one I have been waiting for," he reflected.
"The ball fell to me and I put it in the back of the net so I was over the moon. That made it 2-0 and we were playing very well. It was a special feeling.
"I felt like I need it after the miss against Leeds. To finally get that goal and celebrate with the fans was a great feeling. I hope now thta'll set me off and I'll get some more.
"It was one of them, a great ball from Sonny down the line to Yuki. The ball from Yuki, Pape mistimed it, it happens, but it feel very nicely for me! I'm just happy to get the goal and Pape got the assist.
"I didn't want to overthink it. It looked quite easy but it wasn't an easy finish. I just focused on keeping my head over the ball and getting it around the defender."
Rovers will be reliant on Beck at left-back for an extended period with Harry Pickering facing three months out. He has thrived in his first English loan and hopes to achieve something memorable come May.
"I think it's been great for me and for the team as well," he said.
"We're doing very well and it shows what we have done in the past five months. We're looking to kick on and make sure we push with that until the end of the season.
"We've shown how good we can be and how we can beat top teams in the division. If we take it game by game and try to pick up as many points as possible, the games come thick and fast.
"We don't look too far ahead, we're taking it slow and approach each opponent in isolation. I think we will finish the season where we deserve to be."
