Meet the New Year's Day babies born on the Isle of Wight
Three babies were born at the Isle of Wight's hospital on New Year's Day.
Maternity staff at St Mary's Hospital welcomed a boy and a girl on January 1.
First to arrive was Elsie Pratt, who was born at 5.05am, weighing 8lb 15oz.
The daughter of Amy and Adam Pratt, of Chale Green, Elsie arrived two days late, having been due on December 30.
Elsie is the couple's first child and they are "over the moon", Amy told the County Press.
Second to arrive on New Year's Day, at 9.48pm, was Alexander Onwuka.
Son of mum Augusta and dad Ifeanyi Onwuka, of Ryde, Alexander weighed 7lb 50z.
He was due on December 27 and is the couple's second child.
A spokesperson for Isle of Wight NHS Trust said: "The team at St Mary’s is proud to have supported welcoming Elsie and Alexander into the world, and wishes them and their parents all the very best for the future."
The family of the third baby asked not to be featured.
No babies were born on Christmas Day at St Mary's Hospital this year.
