Description:
From a formal presentation at an event to an informal discussion at a staff meeting, certain key skills increase a presenter’s effectiveness and self-confidence. This course provides a supportive atmosphere conducive to developing and practicing these skills. Participants receive feedback and coaching about their presentation skills from the instructor and other class participants. Learn how to plan and create an effective presentation, use delivery techniques to capture audience attention, deal with anxiety and stage fright, and apply general guidelines for creating and using visual aids.
Please note that participants are required to create a short presentation and present it to the class in order to receive credit.
NOTE: Although Presentation Excellence is geared towards in-person experiences and Foundations of Virtual Presentations is geared towards online/virtual experiences, these classes contain some similar or duplicate content around nervousness, delivery techniques, visual aids, and presentation design.
