The following are biographies from Elliott Animation listed of every Total Drama: Pahkitew Island contestant, as well as Chris and Chef Hatchet.
Contestants
Amy and Samey
A pair of sisters who are practically identical in appearance but couldn't be more different in terms of their personalities. Amy is a petty, shallow "popular girl" wrapped in a thick layer of snark, while Samey is quite the opposite- personable, considerate and kind. Unfortunately, a lifetime of living in her more beloved sister's shadow has reduced Amy to little more than a doormat in terms of self-confidence.
Beardo
Beardo (pronounced "Bee-AIR-dough") is a groovy, funky, funny guy with a HUGE afro and a shaggy beard, even at his young age (rumor has it that he even had a beard in his ultrasound pictures as a baby!). He's cool dude with an easy-goin' attitude and lives to amuse people with his beatboxing and ability to mimic various sound effects with incredible accuracy. Think Reggie Watts coupled with Michael Winslow (the "sound effects guy" from the Police Academy films).
Dave
He's a nice, normal and straight forward guy without even a whisper of crazy. Wait, do you consider hypochondriacs and germaphobes crazy? Oh. Then maybe he's a little crazy. Dave can be kind of uptight and tends to over think things which makes him a bit of a burden during physical challenges but he learns to loosen up episode by episode. (Think Luke Wilson in Old School). Often makes sarcastic suggestions out of frustration during challenges and then ends up even more exasperated when his teammates decide to follow his "great" ideas.
Ella
Ella is super-sunny, super-enthusiastic and SUPER-NAIVE. She dresses and acts like she just stepped out of a storybook. Ella absolutely loved Total Drama: World Tour and, even though Chris insists that this season does NOT have a musical element, she still randomly bursts into song anyway. Her singing often attracts the attention of local wildlife, who gather and dance in step along with her.
Leonard
A super-earnest nerd with a vivid imagination who wears a wizard outfit and casts imaginary spells (think Christopher Mintz-Plasse in Role Models). He seems to be permanently stuck "in character" and often waxes about previous fantasy adventures in his past, much to the bewilderment and amusement of his teammates. It's uncertain how smart or physically capable he really is, as he relies solely on his "magic" in any given situation.
Max
Max is not only a threat to his fellow contestants on the show but to everyone on the planet, as his ultimate goal is nothing less than world domination and devastation! MWAH-HA-HA-HAHHH! At least, that's how HE sees things. Truthfully, however, Max's actual villainy skills are severely lacking, to say the least. He's a far bigger legend in his mind and mostly causes problems for himself whenever he puts one of his evil schemes into action. Often hides in the outhouse confessional to bluster about his diabolical plans and practice his evil laugh.
Jasmine
Jasmine is best described as equal parts Bini Irwin and MacGyver... in the body of an amazon. She's a born survivalist from Australia who can make the oddest scraps useful, find water in unlikely places and make shelter at a moment's notice. She is actually a quite nice and loyal person but her height and blunt demeanor often ends up (unintentionally) intimidating everyone around her.
Rodney
Despite his impressive physique, Rodney is as sweet as a marshmallow and almost as simple. Growing up on a farm in the middle of nowhere with only his Dad and seven brothers for company has left him with a bit of social quirk; he falls head-over-heels in the truest of TRUE LOVE over what he misinterprets as affection from a girl (a friendly "hello", a glance in his direction, etc). However, as soon as another girl is "sweet" to him, he falls for her and then feels like he has to 'break up' with the first one. Since Rodney babbles incoherently whenever he talks to girls in general, none of them ever understand that they're being dumped or in a relationship in the first place.
Scarlett
Scarlett is quiet, polite and super smart- she almost like a female version of Cameron (minus the bubble)!. She constantly has to “dumb down” her conversations with fellow contestants so they can comprehend what she's trying to tell them. She has a very calm, almost calculated, personality to the point where it almost seems as if she's... hiding something. Something dark and very dangerous...
Shawn
Shawn isn't one of those crazy guys that believe a zombie apocalypse will eventually happen- he believes that it's already underway! He plans to win Total Drama so that he can use prize money to build an undead-proof shelter. Paranoid and easily spooked, Shawn often isolates himself from his teammates (“Friends could slow you down when the zombies come!”) and only shows up when the challenges are underway. Speaks in a very rapid and jittery manner as if he's been up all night long drinking coffee... that is, when he speaks to anyone at all.
Sky
Sky may be tiny but she's got a huge heart and stunning athletic skills (think Gabby Douglas or Mary Lou Retton). Sky has Olympic dreams and believes strongly in teamwork and sportsman-like behavior but sees alliances within a team as unfair and detrimental. Her sense of right and wrong is very black and white.
Sugar
An amicable but naïve girl who signed up to participate on Total Drama because she thought it was some kind of beauty pageant. She wears her heart on her sleeve and isn't shy when expressing her opinions or bizarre family expressions. Prone to fits of intense jealousy and rage when it comes to people she thinks are trying to hone in her "spotlight"... but hides it under a veneer of phony cheeriness.
Topher
Topher is Chris' biggest, most enthusiastic fan, EVER! In fact, he appears far more interested in endlessly praising Chris' hosting skills than winning the million-dollar prize. Topher's admiration tends to cause lots of grief for his fellow contestants, as he often suggests ways to make challenges extra-painful and extra-dangerous for the good of the series. Even though Chris is loving all the attention and flattery, he starts to suspect that Topher may be hiding his TRUE motivations for being on the show.
Hosts
Chef Hatchet
Chef is the epitome of the strong silent type. He is Chris' right hand man, which means that if it wasn't for Chef, nothing would ever get done. When he isn't running the camp, Chef enjoys silk robes and ice cream.
Chris
Chris McLean is Total Drama's narcissistic host. Chris loves being host but doesn't care much for the contestants or abiding by the law. Chris was recently released from prison after serving his sentence for illegally dumping toxic waste. In his free time, he enjoys long walks on his private beach and laughing at others in pain.
